If you work in the crystal city area or find yourself going through the metro station this is a great place to stop by. It's directly accessible via the metro, you don't even have to go outside! That being said, this is a great lunch spot as they prepare the food quick. They have a few pita sandwiches. Recently they expanded to providing wheat pita as well as white pita. My go to is the BLT which is like a regular BLT but with pita instead of white bread. I love that they make these sandwiches by putting the ingredients INSIDE the pita. Truly a fun concept. You can also get the combo which allows you to get a drink and a bag of chips as well. They have some seating too so you could enjoy your meal there. But most times I've taken it back to the office or gone to the Water Park area nearby, weather permitting. read more

Hello, I came to your location in crystal city to get some menu items. I walked in at 3:35 and I looked at the menu by the time I was ready to order 3:39pm the cashier/sales associate told me that the kitchen was closed and that they couldn't make anything for me hot. I told the cashier lady that the website mentions that the place closes at 4pm not 3:39pm. I am very disappointed. If I knew that the kitchen closes at 3:39 I would have came earlier. I was in the area for a work trip and my company ordered from here in one big to go order. It came very quickly and the food was great! I couldn't decide between two things so my coworker and I split them! We got the gyro and the chicken hummus veggie pita. Hands down the chicken hummus veggie pita was the BEST! The hummus and feta with the veggies really set it off. It was so good, and since I live in Baltimore I will definitely be missing/craving this particular pita in the future. I ordered the chicken hummus veggie pita and it was really good. You get your option of what type of hummus you wanted, so I got the jalapeno hummus. Slightly spicy but tasty. They have homemade pita chips and cups of hummus if you need a nice snack. They even have small containers with carrots/celery and hummus for sale. A little expensive but you do get a lot of food. My husband praised Perfect Pita, so now that I work above one, I had to try. I ordered the steak hummus veggie pita first, and on another occasion, the gyro. The proportions are great; you can eat a ton but with the nature of the ingredients, not feel horrible about what you just ate. The taste it great. The hummus isn't just ordinary hummus; it has a unique taste that stands out in my mind. The size of the pita was plenty large enough to get me full. No flavors in particular stand out of the mix, could be a good thing as nothing overpowers, but also means it is kind of bland. They also had two hummus selections available as samples while I was there. One was overpowered by olives, the other was slightly spicy and less overpowering. I wouldn't get a tub of either though based on the taste test. I'll likely come back to try out some other items like their fillafel since I work in the area. If is weren't a few blocks away I might even become a frequent customer since it is a relatively healthy & cheap lunch. read more

This place is located on the neglected end of Crystal Drive, where the restaurant offerings are slim-pickings (although this is slated to change quite dramatically in the next year). Given whats considered close-by as far as proximity, this place outshines everything else within a couple blocks' radius. What I love- fresh food, fresh ingredients, knowing that I'm eating healthy and still eating food that is enjoyable (as most health foods aren't). The hummus here is great and offered in a number of different flavors. My favorite items here are the Chicken Caesar salad and the Falafel pita. A close runner-up would be the 'anyway-you-like-it' Veggie Hummus pita. The chocolate chip cookies here are also worthy of mention- I think they have the best chocolate chip cookie in all of Crystal City (yes, I have tried them ALL), and the cheapest priced one at that. You won't even find these at the other location in the Crystal Arcade. And lets not forget the prices- this place is crazy cheap compared to other places in the area and as such it is a frequent lunch option for me. The prices are comparable to those of the little, awful no-name food court options right across the street (the ones that you walk by during the lunch hour and take a whiff of whats cooking and ask yourself "gee, is that supposed to be the smell of 'food'?!?") I'm often perplexed as to why anyone would eat in that food court with an option like Perfect Pita right across the street, but to each their own I guess. What could be improved- The breakfast egg sandwich left much to be desired, and was rather expensive for the quality. The convenience store in the lobby of my office makes a much better egg sandwich for about 1/3rd the price, for sake of comparison. I suppose the addition of seating would be considered an improvement, although I would not take this into consideration for my review as I usually get my lunch to go regardless of where I buy. Yes, I realize this is a chain - but this was the first time I had ever heard of the place thought i'd check it out. So I came here twice..,and...well think its about a 2.5 stars or so. The first time I came I ordered the falafel pita- it was not too bad but average relative to most other places i've been too. It was not very exciting and pretty standard - the pita itself was different and the falafel, veggies and tahini were not too bad. I could potentially see myself grabbing it again if I was craving a falafel sandwich and there were no other options. The second time I got the prepared Mediterranean mix salad - which includes hummus, red pepper hummus, white bean salad, and lettuce with feta and two stuffed grape leaves served with their "perfect pita". Again, very basic in flavor and substance and was not really too impressed - not satisfying at all quite frankly. So I am not sure I would come again - I may head back to grab the falafel or gyro pita but honestly, I would rather wander a bit further and grab something else. read more

This place is also very healthy and moderately priced. The food is not greasy which is a major plus. I usually get the Spinach and cheese pita or the vegetarian falafel. First, I have to tell you how awesome I think Lubna is. She's been at the register, for at least, the past four years and she's wonderful. She remembers regulars and their orders with ease and always has a smile on her face. Even was she was sick and going through chemo. She's a superstar! The jalapeno hummous ranks among my favorites. I do not get it with provolone because I can't hang with the dairy, but it is also strange to me to have that on a sandwich smothered in hummous anyway. Their salads are solid, albeit a little heavy on the onions sometimes. (You'd better make sure you have some gum or mints on standby the day you feel like having a Zorba salad!) I've had an affair with the Crystal City Perfect Pita for about 3 years. Whenever I go underground I have a fight in my head about what I'll pick up to eat. Coffee tastes smooth and great in the morning as well as their Steak/Chicken Pita is my favorite for lunch.
