The server was nice and polite and we were quickly served a couple glasses of water and given the menu to peruse. The interior although we did not sit inside i did see when I went in to check in. It was very nicely decorated and looked cozy. I ordered a vaziri kebab and wifey ordered a chicken curry. We also ordered for starters a kashk o bademjoon. When the food arrived they were beautifully plated and the colors amazing. I had a taste of the starter and was delighted at the texture and flavor. Very tasty. My dish of kebabs were seasoned well and the meat was moist. Every bite was delicious with a mouth full of the rice. The was a side of salad on the plate as well, get your veggies in ;) but the star of the plate is the kebab. Wife's dish was spicy for her and she ended up taking it home as she's not good with hot spice. I think the spice level for me was fine, nice kick to it. Over all very nice meal and pleasant server. When in steveston and feeling like Mediterranean food def hit this place up!

We kept adding to our orders, and our server accommodated us very promptly. We ordered kebabs that were juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. I highly recommend the eggplant dip, and we also enjoyed the hummus. I tried the spicy curry chicken dish, which was really good; it had a nice kick, and I love spicy food! I read rave reviews about the chia seed lemonade, and it was just as good and refreshing as everyone said. I noticed a sign indicating that they will be relocating to a different spot in Steveston; I'll make sure to post a picture of that sign. I definitely recommend trying this place!

The chicken tika masala puts every other version I've had to shame, rich with visible herbs. The rice is fluffy, the meats are well seasoned. I love the lamb! The owners check on diners and are happy to explain dishes. The walls are adorned with beautiful fabric tapestries and the interior has a cozy feel. Most of the dishes they make are inherently gluten-free and they are thoughtful about labeling.

There were a few other people at 11:30am We asked if they do lunch buffet as I didn't see any self serve food. The staff said they offered in the past but not today.. it might come back in 2 weeks? We ordered hummus, garlic naan, fish masala and special kebabs without lamb which was accommodated per our request. The food even the side veggies were really good, we all liked everything. I like this place for good quality fresh ingredients that I don't feel overstuffed. It's probably because the food is easy to digest? This doesn't happen with other Mediterranean and Indian food. I'd like to come back when they start lunch buffet again.

I dismissed the place and didn't take photos or save any notes. Along came Yelp telling me to write something. Here's my best attempt at a memoir: Both of our visits featured a lovely hostess and her sidekick, Robbie the Robot. A sincere Ma & Pa feel to this strip-mall-esque eatery. They've made pretty good use of the limited space with tables and chairs, but no real oomph! The food is just good. A bit bland. Maybe Americanized for the people. I did have a tasty bite of Cornish hen with Basmati rice, but it was also pretty greasy. Trade off, I suppose. A positive is their plating. Many of their presentations are very appealing. We didn't wait for our order to arrive on either occasion. I remember the bistro being very solemn and clean. Parking a snap in the mall's huge lot.

The hostess was very friendly and explained the menu to us offering us her recommendations on popular dishes. We opted for the combination kebab plates which came with the three different kebabs, side of rice and salad, served to us by a robot! The chicken kebab was my favorite out of those three. I was hoping for baklava for dessert but they had run out of full orders, informing us they hand only one piece left so I tried it! I would come back for the chicken kebab. Happy eating!

Noon Café is a casual family diner offering traditional grilled kababs (aka kebab), appetizers, sandwiches, and pizzas - all Persian/Iranian style. The interior is basic, decorated with photos of Iranian landmarks (I assume). Currently, they have a memorial due to the ongoing war. (Peace to all...) Service is warm and friendly. Be sure to ask questions if the dish names are unfamiliar. The Food: Soltani, $32.99 - 4 Stars Soltani includes one skewer of Koobideh (ground beef) and one skew of Barg (flank steak). Both are well-seasoned with excellent flavor. We ordered the flank steak medium rare, but it was medium with no pink inside. The steak was tolerable, not as tender as it could have be. This dish was served with rice per the menu. After I saw another table has their kabab served with a bread, I asked the server. She said other than rice, there is a choice of Persian bread (flat bread with sesame) and salad. Curious that wasn't in the menu nor did she say it. Not a dealbreaker. Her reply did raise my eyebrow. Zaboon, $16.99 - 3 Stars Menu: Veal tongue, simmered and fried, tomato, pickles, parsley Based on the description, the texture completely threw me off. The meat is mushy to the point of spreadable. The flavor is light with minimum seasoning. I applied hot sauce liberally to the sandwich. Portion size is large. I ate only half. Fries, $6.99 - 3 Stars Menu: Golden and crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside Some pieces aren't crispy enough. Some pieces are too thick such that the inside has the potato gritty texture. The sauce is a house-created flavor. We like the sauce more than we like the fries. The food is closer to 3.5 Stars. I like the family vibe and am rounding up to 4 Stars for the overall rating.

We were also thinking of going to the Sushi restaurant next door but when we saw this restaurant was packed on a Sunday night, we knew we had to try. Much to our delight the food was very tasty. We ordered the meat platter to share. Every item was seasoned well and tender. Probably one of the best Persian I've had and I've tried quite a few in Lower Mainland. The service was a bit slow at first but it was a busy night and there was a big group there for a Christmas party. Once it cleared up, service was more attentive. Also to our delight, while we were towards the end of our meal, a table of men suddenly got up and started dancing! The owner/managed was so nice, he even turned up the music and encouraged us and the big group to dance. People were dancing and eating. We definitely didn't expect a fun quiet Sunday dinner turned to be a fun time.
