Instead, I left feeling unheard and let down. The lack of empathy and communication made an already heartbreaking situation even more difficult. No pet owner should have to feel this way when trusting a veterinary team with a beloved family member. I hope the hospital takes this feedback seriously and works to improve the level of care, compassion, and communication they provide to other families in the future.

The doctors are knowledgeable and have such a wonderful bedside manner. They know how to make the baby and parents feel more at ease. The prices, ya, they're expensive. But it's emergency services. My dog stepped on something in grass that swelled up his little foot very quickly. When we got home…read moreI put some triple antibiotic ointment on his paw and wrapped it with some gauze and put a sock on so he wouldn't mess with it. He was really upset but not behaving differently. He slept and moved around from bed to bed for the next 3 hours until he came up to me and I took a look at his paw and it was super swollen. So I decided to take him to a vet just in case it was infected or something really bad. I got to the Emergency Animal Clinic at 11 and I had to wait an hour and a half in my car with only 2 pets ahead of us. There were a 2 emergencies that came during, so I can understand the long wait. While we were waiting his swelling went down a lot, but his skin was still very red, so I didn't want to chance it. Finally we were called in, only to wait another 40 minutes in the exam room. When the doctor finally came in she asked me to put him down and see him walk around. My little man is a Chihuahua mix so he's obviously scared of everything, but she said "since he's concerned about what's going with me in the room I'm going to take him to the back to take a look". I thought this was really odd since I could easily hold him while she exam his little paw, but hey she's the doctor. Another thing I found weird was that she wouldn't take him back herself, instead she had a tech come and get him. Okay sure. After examining him, she comes back and says she didn't see a stinger or anything but she's going to give him an anti-inflammatory injection and a pain med injection. She was about to walk away when I asked the prices and she wasn't too sure and said it's in the system but it will be an extra $150 on top of the $90 exam fee. My little man does not seem to be in much pain, if at all and he hadn't tried to lick the whole wait, so I told her that he fine and doesn't need either. She just walked away and told the tech "take him back". I get that his injury wasn't that bad compared to what they must see every night but that long of a wait is ridiculous and $90 just to be checked out, wow Besides all of that their people skills could really use some help. They are very monotonous or sound very tired, which I get but you still have a customer service job to do. Will most likely not come back, unless last resort option. Thanks for reading my rant. Definitely read majority of the reviews before coming here. I wish I would have.
