Completely rude staff. The poor animals are restless and walking in their own feces. It broke my heart seeing the animals with no food or water in their cages. They looked miserable. Owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. Will never set foot in here again. 10 weeks or so ago I called about some kittens I had as a result of helping a stray get in from the rain and cold. She told me it would be no issue at all to bring them and the mom in when it was time and they would adopt the kittens out and use that money to spay the mom. I had gotten sick for a few weeks and could not take them in so I called today. Totally different story. She was rude and had totally changed her tune. All the sudden now it was they needed $20.00 per kitten (bet they would be selling them for WAY more than this given their overpriced animals) and she could only look at them to see if they could take. I asked her if she had any other ideas of where I could take them and she said no then told me she was trying to help me which no she was not. She then hung up on me. How unprofessional to run your business like this. When I called and had spoken to a different (and VERY nice employee last week) I was told there was plenty of room for cats but now there isn't magically? You lost a customer and I honestly hope you lose more over these reviews you are receiving. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. We went into the store tonight and the stench hits you in the face like a ton a bricks. There was an adorable kitten we were looking at, but could not take the odor coming out of the cage. Poor thing has to live in those conditions. It was a plexiglass cage so I can imagine the ventilation is not that great. The puppy area was not much better. There was feces in all the cages and when I saw a puppy licking at his empty water bowl I knew it was time to leave. Broke my heart. read more

I love this place. I bought a Schnoodle 11 years ago and she's the best dog I've ever owned. Sweet as can be and extremely healthy. We only visit the vet once a year for her yearly check-up. I just visited the other day to buy her a collar and ended up walking out with a 12 week old Schnoodle. He's the sweetest boy ever and loves his new home. I had the weirdest experience at the pets pajamas. I walked in and their seemed to be some sort of chaos in the back. Dogs barking and yelping in small cages in a back room? That's not the point, however. I could have walked in on something I knew nothing about. The problem I had was with the employees very cold attitudes. Their approach was almost aggressive and asking me if I was finding everything okay. One of the workers was in tears and visibly upset for some reason and I went up to the counter to see if she was okay. I said "hey, are you doing alright?" And she snapped back and said "Yeah are YOU doing alright?!" It was the strangest thing. Maybe don't come out onto the sales floor crying if you don't want someone who was just trying to be kind to ask you if you were alright. Another younger lady gave me a foul look when I was trying to converse with the upset woman. It put me in a very awkward situation. No one seems to really know anything when you start to ask medical questions about their puppies. When we went in to ask about a Labrador puppy and about the health of them, the young woman only had very basic info to share. She kept saying that the onset hand picks the puppies from certain breeders. She did bring over the contract to show us but really didn't give us much info on it at all. We then proceeded to ask what happens if there is something that is wrong that is genetic with the puppy? The girl had no response as to what would happen. Just that we can bring the dog back for a gift card, not a refund for the amount paid. And when I asked to speak to the own to get more info regarding health, the owner refused to stop and answer questions for us and then told us the contract is right here. Really made it seem like it was more about just selling a poppy for money and that health of the puppy is not a concern or care. From other reviews I e read recently, this is a common issue with this place. Will not return ever, and will make sure to tell my family and friends to not come here either. Interesting how so many puppy stores are the same. No care for health of animals and no interest in answering questions when you ask about a puppy you are interested in, except to ask how you'd like to pay. read more

I had a pretty normal experience with this place of business. Nothing spectacular but nothing that would keep me from ever returning again. I purchased a golden retriever puppy a few weeks ago. She's very healthy and one of the most well behaved puppies I have ever owned. That being said I do have to say I have a few little complaints. The day I came in to look around we were never asked if we needed help. I had to go to them to see about looking at the puppy I wanted and it wasn't busy that day. Once they realized I was a serious customer however I was treated completely differently. The transaction went smoothly and I left to return another day to pick her up (she was being observed for a few days after receiving shots). I came back that day and again everything went well. The issue I came across was when I called in about the AKC paperwork that I was waiting on. I'm not the type of person to care about a dog's breeding but when I paid what I did for my new dog I want to make sure I get everything I paid for. I spoke with the owner and she informs me that the paperwork is in but I have to come in person to get it. Fine, I can do that even though it would be a special trip up there again as I do not live in the area. But then I'm told she has to be the one to give it to me so I find myself having to work around her schedule to get my paperwork. It was a little ridiculous. To add to that she had things filled out for me which was appreciated but the form was filled out incorrectly. She had me paying an extra $14 for things I did not need. I was too happy about that. I'm not sure it was deliberate but when you own the store and probably fill out those forms on the daily I would assume you would know what you are doing. Maybe not. All I know is it looked very suspect when she was trying to charge me an extra $10 for a co-owner that didn't exist. Kind of made me think she was trying to make it look like I was the co-owner and she the owner. But I don't know that for sure. I'm just happy I checked it all out on my own and then registered my puppy online saving the money and the possibility of forms being sent to the store that no longer owns my dog. read more

Went there today, no greeting- there were two girls behind the counter taking pictures of the puppies and tweeting them....I asked to see the dog they were holding and the one girl says, oh I am not even suppose to have this one out, and puts it away and walks away, and starts talking to her co worker about the date she had coming up. Cool....so the owner obviously hires bitchy high school girls that are running her shop into the ground. I'll make this easy- I will take my business somewhere else. Hope your date goes well! I was an employee from April 2017 to October 2017 and I can account personally to everything I claim here. I truly do not know if the puppies were from reputable breeders like the owner Kathy Perich claims or puppy mills because Kathy was never honest with even her most trusted her employees. But after some time I now believe the puppies are from mills or at least bad breeders because often they come to the store sick and very unhealthy looking. Customers are lied to on a daily basis about any details of the breeders and supporting a business with standards like that is disgusting. One cava-chon puppy came with a broken leg from the breeder in July 2017 and the poor pup was kept in the back of the store in a dirty steel cage 2 entire months. It never saw daylight because the back room has no windows. This back room is where boarding dogs are kept; they are meant to be taken outside three times a day for a nice walk but most employees are lazy and sometimes the dogs will go out only in the morning to go potty, the rest of the time they literally sit in a steel cage in their own mess. Sometimes dogs returned from buyers had to stay in the back for months on end as well if they were too old to be sold. One yorkie-chon I remember so well named Max was living in the back for three months. Three months he lived in his mess, rarely saw daylight, and often did not have enough water. Buying dogs here is the worst option possible because the owner Kathy gives the employees no incentive to care for the dogs. They are taken care of with minimal effort, little enough that one cava-chon puppy died of dehydration in August of 2017 because employees the previous night DID NOT MAKE SURE THE PUPS HAD WATER BEFORE LEAVING THE PREVIOUS NIGHT. The health standards Kathy holds at her business are disgusting and puppies constantly fall sick with diarrhea, eye infections, and severe lethargy and need medical attention because their living environment is filthy and chemically dangerous. Employees are forced to clean cages, food and water bowls, and anywhere else the puppies touch with a mixture of laundry detergent and bleach. Obviously bleach is horribly dangerous to dogs so no wonder they are constantly falling sick. All of this included, Cathy illegally did not pay employees to stay and work over scheduled hours and no one confronted her because she was emotionally abusive and manipulative to the point where it was terrifying to speak with her. It is a normal occurrence for people to cry daily because she blatantly insults them in front of customers at any time during the day. Her mental illness is reflected in her business in how poorly she will treat customers on a bad day and how angry she will get at employees if the sale goal is not met for the day. Every evening, we were yelled at for not selling hard enough. It is clear that the dogs are only money to her and this is why they are cared for so inefficiently. Do not support this business where puppies are constantly sick, dirty, and may even die because of the negligence of Kathy Perich. read more

We adopted our little Wauser a little over a year ago. We named her Molly. Molly is such a smart and sweet dog and she is definitely a big part of our family. Yes, $600.00 is high for a puppy, but Molly is well worth every dime! I only wish we would have also adopted one of her brothers. I regret not doing that. Was in here today with my daughter. All the cute and fun things are nice. However, these puppies were sad. They are definitely puppy mill puppies. There was no water in 90% of the Kennels. One puppy was lethargic and laying it's head in its empty water bowl. Another kennel had diarrhea on the floor. And yet another had blood and poop all over the floor and the blanket. I was so absolutely disgusted! I found it hard to believe that people were holding and buying these puppies! I was afraid to touch ANYTHING as I didn't want to bring some kind of illness home to my own pets. I will never set foot in that disgusting place ever again. Couldn't get away from the sadness fast enough. Felt like I needed to Purell my whole body not just my hands. People if you want a dog or cat, please rescue vs purchasing. *IF YOU HAVE PURCHASED A BENGAL KITTEN WITHIN THE PAST TWO WEEKS GET IT TO THE VET ASAP!!* I bought my bengal kitten three Monday's ago. They did not provide his vet info when I purchased him and said I'd get a call later that day about it. I never got the call. I called the next day, still no info provided. I kept calling every other day and somehow no info was provided.His ears were filthy and he kept sneezing yet i held off on the vet visit until i knew what shots he had and whats was already done on him, huge mistake.It wasn't until LAST FRIDAY almost TWO weeks of me having the kitten when they finally returned my calls with his vet information. Meanwhile, he had been playing with my other cat this entire time. I get home from work Sunday to find my other cat's eye is almost completely swollen shut. Take both of the cats to the vet yesterday to find out not only does the kitten have a very bad upper respiratory infection & ear infection, he gave it to my other pet. I tried to get ahold of the owner to pay for this and still have not heard back! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE IT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!! read more

We just bought a puppy and brought her home, within two hours she was throwing up. I called the store and was told it was probably stress. The next day the puppy slept all day, with some labored breathing. The next day the puppy began to cough, was still very lethargic and eyes were goopy . I took her to the vet that evening who said she was a very sick puppy. The puppy had a fever, cough, eye issues, and labored breathing. She said she did not believe the puppy was even old enough to be away from its mother. The next day I made another vet appointment and called the store to let them know how sick the puppy was. The owner said I was frustrating her because I was crying. She said the puppy was fine at the store and I must have dropped it! Then said a fever can come from a drop. What??? She was so defensive in the conversation, all I wanted was the puppy to be ok. She demanded I bring the puppy to her so she could take it to her vet and see what was really going on. I took the puppy to another vet following the conversation, who said the puppy had pneumonia and it most likely had canine influenza. By chance we found out another one of the puppy's in the litter was at the vet for the same issues. The owner did agree to pay the second vet bill, which she should have! We are praying the puppy lives. The vet said it could be touch and go. I whole heartily belive the owner knew the puppies were ill when she sold them, she wouldn't have been so rude and defensive when I called. Wish I would have done my research before I bought a puppy from this place. read more

This is such a wonderful place that I have to go in every time I am near the shopping center. They have gourmet pet treats and really fancy dog clothes and accessories like rhinestone collars. This is a place that just makes you smile. I even got one of my little dogs here and she is over three years old and way healthier than my other dog that I got at a breeder. They have a great variety of merchandise and yes they are all very pricey, however going in to look is always free!! I go in there at least 3 times a week just to visit the pups. We bought a schnoodle from this store 3 years ago. We had to immediatly take the puppy to the vet as it was infested with ear mites and was ill (nasal infection of some sort). We loved the dog and enjoyer her for 2 years before she died of a genetic issue that apparently is easily identified in the breeding process. I would never buy a puppy from this store. In fact I am getting upset as I type thinking of all the helpless animals being farmed for this enterprise. What a shame. read more

The owner is very nice but some of the people that work there is very very rude. I bought a puppy almost 2 months ago, paid over $900 for this pedigree dog, I'm still waiting to get my papers on him, went there 3 times to pick them up, each time I was told the owner wasn't there and that I would have to come back. The sad part about this is I spoke with the owner and she told me to come in on a certain day to get them, I drive over 30+ miles to meet with her, when I get there, she's gone and the people there treated me like crap but those same people were super nice when I bought the puppy. They have to many puppies in a small area and all they seem to care about is taking your money. Why should I have to wait for so long to get papers on my puppy, they did the same thing when I bought 2 other puppies from this place. I refuse to be treated this way, from this point on I will never buy another puppy from here again. They are overpriced on a lot of items and the grooming dept....wow...I took my puppy there for his first puppy trim, his hair was uneven in some spots, he had little nicks on him from her trying to cut his hair, when I asked her about this she claims, he was afraid and that's why his cut didn't look right, however Petsmart did a great job on him 2 weeks prior and 3 weeks after visiting Pet Pajamas. So, I want to start out by saying I enjoy coming here. The items they carry, the baked goods for the animals-its a really cute boutique for pets, if not a little overpriced-but you'll get that at any pet boutique. Another thing I like about visiting this pet shop are the actual animals, i like holding them and playing with them---I've never seen an ugly dog in their kennels. That being said, I think this goes without saying, these animals are clearly puppy mill animals. I don't feel it necessary to bash the store or owner, however, I would urge them to consider doing away with this practice. I have no personal experience with buying a dog here, but puppy mill dogs are much more likely to have not just health problems, but very serious, life threatening health problems-which is problematic when you're selling these animals for about double-3x the market rate you'd pay with a breeder. I understand these breeds are cute and fun to have in store, I really do; everything seems nice when you have little balls of fur running around and yipping and being playful. But the truth behind puppy mills is ugly and ultimately sad. I urge the store owner to consider partnering with a local shelter; I can only imagine how ecstatic those shelters would feel; it legitimizes these in-need animals and reduces the need for kill shelters. I've rescued 6 animals between my family and myself, we also had one very spoiled dog who came from a breeder. The one with the most health problems? You guessed it, the dog who came from a breeder. I love them all the same, but we are now part of a globally conscious environment where we care about these rescue animals and we need to stop monopolizing these animals. The change starts with storefronts like pets pajamas, I hope y'all consider practicing better business standards for the safety of the pets and pet owners. read more

I have traveled the country and stop in puppy boutiques all around the states, none is any better than Pets Pajamas. It's clean, prices are cheap compared to what they are in the southern states, their clothes are as cute as can be and the people who work there are knowledgable and friendly. To back up my praise of this store would be the fact our family members have purchased eight puppy's from Pets Pajamas over the years. I put my money where my mouth is. For those of you who have a complaint, I ask do you realize the stress a new puppy is under the first twenty four hours you have them. Did you give them Nutracal three times a day for the first week to prevent hypoglycemeia, did you follow up and see your vet within three days of receiving your puppy? If you didn't do these things then I'm surprised if your puppy didn't have a problem. Puppy's aren't toys, they are delicate creatures they need love and proper care. read more

They were not understanding, the owner Kathy would never speak to you in person. Ended up getting store credit and they charged us $100 to resell the puppy. Mind you we only had her for 2 days. I do not like the cages wood sides and glass windows no room to play .The puppies are bathed everyday day and put in heat to dry them because they are in there own feces .Did not know it but she makes trips to buy from puppies mills they do not come from private owners .I bought 2 being told they came from a friend .They had problems the first few months hernias etc .my vet told me they are all puppy mill puppies .Should be able to buy the whole litter for what she charges and lies about .Buyer be ware . read more

I love coming to this place whenever I can. It makes you happy walking in and seeing all of the puppies around you. However there was an older woman who seemed to be a manager of some sort. She was incredibly rude to us and made us feel very unwelcome. In the boutique there are puppies and kittens behind glass that you aren't allowed to pet or hold unless you are 18 years or older. There is also a crib that is around 3 feet high, in perfect reach for small children. I am 16 and was there with my 23 year old family member. We were both at the crib holding and petting the puppies that were in it. The older woman then comes up to me and in a very rude tone asks if my parents were there because she doesn't want me to drop them. I brushed it off and went back to holding the puppies because I have always been allowed to and so have little kids far younger than I. She then comes back to the crib and rudely makes me put the puppy back in the crib and says " I said are your parents here, I guess not" and then continues to swish to the door while making clicking sounds in order to get me to leave. In a business an employee shouldn't talk to you a paying costumer that way, especially a manager. A terrible experience in my book and I really hope that they will treat their customers with respect in the near future. read more
