Been meaning to try this place for a while and finally they announced they would be open for eagles chiefs game with specials so I headed over, cause no one is trying to cook Thanksgiving week. Customer service is A+++. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. The owner loves kids and they have been creating a mural on his wall that is pretty cool to see. Ordered take out, got chicken cheesesteak, beef cheesesteak, buffalo chicken cheesesteak, and meatball sub. Took them all home and cut into fourths and piled them on a tray for the football game. I planned to cut in half or thirds, but these sandwiches are huge. My family loved them. My husband ate one and claimed he could easily eat 8 of them they were that good. I'll begin with the positive. The staff was friendly and engaging with some of the customers, they seem very proud of their product. Now, as I approached the entrance of the restaurant I paused and almost turned to leave! First impressions are IMPORTANT. The outside windows and entrance door was filthy with greasy fingerprints and intentional graffiti all over everywhere, it was difficult to determine if they were open or not because you can't see inside the establishment even with large windows facing the parking lot. As I opened the entrance door to step inside the first thing I was overwhelmed with was the walls and floors is painted with black flat paint and graffiti scribbled all over the walls (AGAIN) with cheap white plastic tables and chairs for the customers. The floor was filthy and because of the black flat paint job EVERYTHING on the floor was visible! This place looks like walking into a "Teenaged boy bedroom"! Well, lets get to the food. I ordered of course the Philly Cheesesteak. I'll begin with the positive. It was a 12" sandwich with a generous portion of meat! But, it was DROWNING in salty cheese sauce which in my opinion killed the flavor of the very thing that I wanted to taste - THE BEEF. I also ordered fries, and they tasted like cheap, flavorless fries. As a side order this did nothing to compliment the cheesesteak, so that was a waste but again I was given a very generous amount. Overall, I think if the Philly Steak Spot would CLEAN UP the place and the appearance of it, and not drown the very tasty meat in a salty cheese sauce, invest in better quality products ( French Fries) you might last longer in this business. The price point is great, the friendliness of the staff is wonderful. read more

The ambience was cool as i walked into the establishment. The decor consisted of Philadelphia teams which I thought brought a connection to the restaurant and the customer. The customer service was good and the manager was accommodating as well as appreciative for our business. The food was actually hot. Lately food at restaurants has been lukewarm but this food was hot and steaming. The bun was not soggy and it actually added to the sandwich. I would say I did feel as though the sandwich lacked in cohesiveness. I shared with my wife and I had a half that didn't have that much cheese on it as hers did as well as I didn't get that much of the veggies that make a Philly a Philly. My portion was mostly meat, which was seasoned well but needed that onion and peppers to go with it that I thought was hidden by the meat. I would return to try the other menu items and my experience was a good one. read more

If you are looking for a "Hole-in-the-wall" type of grub joint that will score a win for your hidden gems, this is it! The steak with wiz was what I had been craving and found it that spot perfectly! The amount of beef on that sandwich was overwhelming and I ate only half of it and saved the rest for later that night for dinner! Really good food....except the fries were not good. Pass on those. The spot has a nice, positive vibe. Food: we got the wings & 2 cheesesteaks (reg & pizza). The wings had a good flavor. They are small & not really wet, if you like that. The sandwiches had good flavor. I enjoyed the pizza sub more because it had more flavor. I'm not sure if they use fresh veges (my mushrooms were very dark). Also, I saw a reviewer comment about it not being hot. We also experienced that. It isn't hot. The cheese wasn't thoroughly melted. It a new biz. Things aren't perfect.
