Trying a new place
Dennis F.

Let say that this place is legit and the owner and food is backed up with that Philly spirit. The owner ch3cks on you to see if you need anything anymore it makes it a very comforting atmosphere, very Philly style ambiance ce and true to the core cooking. Best Chessesteak in Hiram, we'll in Georgia period. Make sure to hit this spot up and get some authentic Philly chessesteaks right here in Hiram. GA You won't be disappointed.

Massive philly

This is going to be a difficult review because the food was good but the experience was odd, for lack of a better word. I and a couple of buddy's had heard about the philly's here and although we don't live close (Cartersville) we decided to give it a shot. The place is located in a small plaza with several non-food type shops at the same location. It's a small cafe type eatery where you order at the counter, which is great. Where it wasn't so great is the owner/manager is sitting at a table next to the register with his family (?) and eyeballs and listens to everyone that comes in; while this could be a good thing it turned out to be rather weird and kind of (not exactly sure how to say this)...stifling, uncomfortable, aggravating (?) because if you mentioned anything about the food or atmosphere or anything he would pipe up and talk over everyone to speak to whoever was talking. We are a group of 3 guys and not expecting this. It was definitely something that got us all defensive and immediately almost aggressive and wanting to tell him to stop talking to us, as he was literally talking over other customers. The place was relatively clean but disorganized and cluttered. The one and ONLY redeeming quality of this place is that the steak Philly was absolutely bada$$! It was upwards in price but for the size and quality it was well worth it to me. Just the right amount of meat bread, cheese, onions and peppers and all blended well and just the perfect amount of moisture to make it a great fresh Philly. The fries were cold and bad but we didn't come for fries. I hate to give this place less than 5 stars and yet I have to because a review is based on all factors. It has been a couple months since we came here and they're still open so I will definitely return and give them another chance...if nothing more than take-out if it seems the service/professionalism inside hasn't changed. Hopefully the manager/owner got some feedback and has adopted a different style. Parking is limited but adequate. Absolutely recommend the philly as a takeout, and will try the chicken philly next time. (VISITED Jan 12, 2024)

Bacon ranch wings

You know the food is good when you're talking about who to recommend, only two bites in! These cheesesteaks will make you think twice about your fav spot. Ordering the regular philly, a large fry to share, the bacon ranch wings, and a side of junkyard sauce, let me just say... Oh my word! 2 ppl could easily share one sub! The fries are well-seasoned & don't need Ketchup to taste good-major PLUS. And the wings stand up on their own. I will say this, do NOT sleep on that junkyard sauce. You can thank me later. Having food this good, with the good music and friendly service... an THEN the owner/cook coming out to get the patrons, too?? We will definitely be back!!

Chicken Cheesesteak Sandwich

The owner was in there and he was super nice and welcoming. I wish him success in his business. I drove 45 minutes to try this spot after seeing it on Tik Tok. The juices that he makes, I taste both. They were good. I ordered a chicken Philly bc I don't eat steak. I'm not a fan of American cheese so let me start with that. I think I just went on an off day. My bread was really hard. The chicken needs a little more seasoning and my cheese at the bottom was not melted. So to bite into a thick unmelted piece of cheese was just not the best experience. With that said, give these folks a try! I'm sure the regular Philly is good and the customer service was amazing!

I've been a fan of this place cuz the cheesesteaks and egg rolls are amazing but today they got my order wrong. I ordered 2 orders of egg rolls and cheese fries and I only received 1 order!! After driving in this really cold weather to get the wrong amount and even after leaving a tip still go through a bad experience is annoying and disappointing..... look at the cheese fries. The cheese almost feels solid. Seems like they didn't even try to heat them up Very sad. Don't think I'll be back

Pizza Philly $13

I read the reviews and heard a lot about this space. I live in Dallas but work ITP so I am not usually in the area for lunch, so it took me a while to have a free Saturday to try them out. They are a bit pricey. We got a classic beef cheesesteak, a pizza cheesesteak, and a "knockout" which was a combination beef and chicken with bacon. The sandwiches were $13 - $15 each and add $5 for fries and a drink. So you are looking at $20 before tip. Looking back I would probably skip the fries. Not that there is anything wrong with them but these sandwiches are huge. But these cheesesteaks are legit. We talked with the owner who is from Philadelphia. He imports his rolls from Philly and had a serious commitment to authentic cheesesteaks. I was skeptical when I saw the prices but they lived up to the hype. Nothing fancy here just authentic American street food classics served without frills in large portions. Get yours cut in half and plan on saving half for tomorrow's lunch. Great Spot

My husband found this place through TikTok and this place is everything it said it would be! Owner is super nice and came out a few times to talk to everyone and was super busy! Everywhere was full when we went in, but they get out the food so quick that we had somewhere to sit when we got done ordering. They have movies playing that is based in or from Philly and music to vibe to while you wait and eat. Food isn't badly priced at all! Me and my husband will be back, but at an earlier time because they are mostly sold out at end of day!

We ordered large fries and this is what we got. Small oiled logged hard and stale fries
Felicia C.

My family and I have been to this spot a few times now. A few times we ordered the philly cheesesteaks. It was a regular steak sandwich with NO cheese. Tonight we asked for extra cheese and it seemed like there was barely any cheese on the steak. Though the steak was seasoned good, we were disappointed again with the little cheese. Also, we ordered a Large order of fries. To our surprise when we got home (15 min drive) there was mixed match oiled logged fries. We got anything but a large over. They were stale and hard. They should have never put those in the box. Do not think we'll be going back anytime soon. My husband is from Philly so he would know. Morale tip to this is make sure you check your order before you leave the establishment.

Great Philly!

Always looking for a good Philly. This wasn't good because it was GREAT! Had some time to meet Mr. Dennis (the owner). Really nice man from Philly who loves what he does and has a passion for good food. Highly recommended if you are in the area and worth the drive if you are not.

The beef cheesesteak $13 and house punch $4

My husband and I love to find places to eat that we saw on TikTok. We live about 50 mins away and finally made it out to give it a try. We can't really say if it's the best cheesesteak because we haven't had very many. The restaurant was a cool lil place. Looked like it could be a hangout spot for teens to go. It's set up like a walk up to the counter and order type. We came in and were taking in all the Philly sports decor and then looked at the menu. They asked if it was our first time and where we heard about them. We decided on a beef cheesesteak for $13. The order taker understood that we wanted one to share and offered to have it halved for us without us asking. The house punch looked good. My husband nonchalantly asked if it had alcohol in it. And they got a kick out of that. That juice was pretty good. The owner was sitting at a table close to the counter placing an order for his business it looked like with a guy. He was still interacting with the customers. Nice customer service all around. You can tell they're proud of the food they serve. I'm not really a big fan of Philly cheesesteaks, but it was pretty good. I picked the half with the most cheese and it seemed like it had a good mixture of peppers and onions as well. His half looked like mostly meat. I don't know why that happened. The food was hot. The bread was soft but not soggy. We enjoyed our sandwich and would recommend it our family and friends.

Really outstanding time here. Recommended…read more Two minor griefs, then the great stuff: 1) Not a huge deal, but this place can be hard to get in and out of. It has one entrance, shared with an old folks' home, and no light. Depending on the time of day, turning left out of the entrance is a nightmare, and sometimes turning right is, too, because of the volume of traffic. 2) They use those little tablets on the tables, so when you pay with your credit card, you can't always get a paper receipt, which I like. Speaking of the tablets, some of the tables are in places where you can't see a TV, which is plenty fine by me; most of the TVs are around the bar, so it's nice to sit with my family with no distractions. Food was delicious. I got ribs, and they literally did fall off the bone when I pick them up to try to eat them; ended up using my fork quite a bit. Again, that's a compliment. Excellent service. I had Suarez, and I recommend him. Very friendly; anticipated my needs before I had them; he brought me extra wet-naps for those ribs, extra condiments, extra drinks, and all without me ever asking for a thing. When he packed up my to-go items, he stacked them in the bag neatly so they wouldn't spill or everything. Sophia, the manager, also came around. Good portion size with the food. They were generous with their rolls and cinnamon butter both. Fantastic sweet potato; great side and recommended. They do have a to-go pick-up window that I saw numerous people use. Very impressed with this location. Recommended.

The staff is efficient and friendly. The food is fresh and tasty. The menu is well rounded. Portion sizes are healthy. Paying on the kiosk at the table was easy. Things to know: It was very crowded (thus the appreciation and need for the call ahead). It was loud - we could still carry on a conversation, but it was loud. I ordered my steak medium well and it was a little dry , but still had a good flavor. Overall, we had a good experience and will definitely be back!

If you've lived here for a while like I have (over a decade), you know that unique dining experiences are few and far between. So imagine my surprise when I realized... it's a food truck. Now, full credit to the owner--winning Best of Cobb 2024 is no small feat. But here's the thing: when people aren't familiar with authentic Nashville hot chicken, they tend to accept what's available. And what's available here? It's good--definitely different for the area--but it's not great. Not by Nashville standards. The food took a while to come out, which raised eyebrows since there was no line and no orders ahead of us. I'd be curious to see how long the wait is during a rush. As for the heat? I asked for the hottest thing on the menu. Took a bite, waited for the burn... nothing. I think the owner was watching because about a minute later, he ran over asking, "How is it? Is it hot? Is it good?" I smiled and nodded. But truthfully? Nah. Not hot. Maybe for some it would be, but not for me. The owner was super proud--and rightfully so. This is his craft, and again, it wasn't bad. But between the price, portion size, and lack of that signature Nashville kick, I'd say it's a "try once" experience. I'd recommend it for the curiosity, but I personally wouldn't return. There are better Nashville hot chicken options out there--both in heat and value.
