My wife, mother-in-law and myself spent the day in the Temecula wine country to do some tasting and purchasing of wines. Our first stop was at Falkner Winery, where we greeted and welcomed with open arms. Fred (bartender) introduced us to the Wine club and we were immediately sold on their introductory club. The benefits offered a lot of great rewards to us. We are members of various other wineries all throughout California. This was the first Food and Wine Club membership. After half a day of wine tasting, we decided to double back to the Pinnacle restaurant at Falkner Winery. We had high expectations for a "gourmet" restaurant. We were greeted and asked if we were member of the winery. We were then seated by the window (with a great view of the valley). Our waitress (Tina) came over and informed us that we would get our "member appetizer" and then proceeded to take out order. When we ordered our food, we took the recommendation of Fred to have the Angus hamburger, Chicken Sandwich, and we added the Lemon Garlic Bread. After we ordered, we noticed that all the other tables were offered bread and dipping sauce. Our food soon came out of the kitchen. Upon completion of our meal, we engaged the question to server... Why were we not given bread like the other tables... It must be noted that we were the youngest in the restaurant and the only ones that did not fit the social normality (meaning of ethnicity). We did not have the "look" of the regulars in the restaurant. Upon looking around others of ethnicity also did not get the bread or service like the "white" patrons. We truly believed that if a restaurant is going to be successful, they need to break through the barrios of age, race, and stereotypes. My wife and I are frequent shoppers, and due to the fact that we are treated with horrendous service, we often wonder why it is? Is it because we are young? College students? Ethinic? Tattooed and Pierced? What is it that makes us less of a couple to serve then the rest? Is our money not as good as theirs? read more

Went here on Saturday for lunch and LOVED IT! The views are great and the food matched perfect. Wife had the lobster Mac n Cheese, which was awesome. I had the Pork Porterhouse, which was delicious. The prices are a little expensive, but the quality matches, so its worth it. We also tried their brownie dessert, which was very good, they make it in-house. Go here, dink some wine, have some food, relax and unwind from the stress of your week. read more

My experience here in two occassions a month apart were not the best. One was a lunch date with my husband. I ordered French Onion soup and there was no melted cheese on my soup. I asked our waitres to ask the chef why he choose not to melt the cheese and his reply was they did not have a way to melt the cheese for the soup and no crouton either on my soup the way a traditional French onion soup is served. Second incident was Valentines dinner, my bisque was luke warm, my lobster was way over cooked it tasted rubbery. Dinner felt more like a wedding reception/banquet than it did a romantic dinner. Temecula is growing and we have better restaurants in the Valley now with nicer hosts and better experienced chefs than The Pinnacle. read more

Went there with my girlfriend and mother and both of them had the scallop dish. I had the pork chop. Great view and good food.

I'm giving them one star because I was unable to move forward without a star.... Location/view: beautiful Service: It took them 40 minutes to serve us, the famous "Mac-n-cheese" HORRIBLE, the lobster was semi raw, service... It was like going to a burger joint in LA, I recommend you just drive a bit further and stop at one of the chain steakhouses further down. read more

This is January 26, 2015 12:20 pm. I reserved a table for three plus one puppy for outdoor seating. When I arrived I was turn down for a table because it was too windy and they had to close the door to the outside area. If they were really dog friendly why don't they have a bigger outdoor area? They only have a small strip of table outside. I can't tell you how the food taste because I haven't had the chance to try it yet. read more

The food here was amazing, but the view is always the best. Today we had an outstanding waitress. She was so on the ball and knowledgeable about the menu. Silvana was is the best server ever. She paid attention, but wasn't over solicitous. I will request her next time I'm here. read more

We just had the most fantastic lunch ever! The food was perfect, i had three huge shrimp stuffed with lobster. There were 8 of us and every meal was perfect. The wine pairings were perfect and the desserts were beyond mouth watering. Pineapple upside down cake OMG best meal ever! read more

A gorgeous view, especially on an 80 degree day in January. And the decor is far better than some of the other reviews might lead you to believe. Food was excellent. I had the salmon from the Restaurant Month price fixe menu. It was perfectly cooked, and had just the right amount of the promised truffle oil. Others at the table had the canneloni, seafood risotto, and ahi sandwich. Not a complaint to be heard. Service was slow despite only five or six tables being occupied. Not a problem if you're enjoying a casual day in the Wine Country, but not great if you have to get back to work. Prices are reasonable for the quality/quantity provided. read more

We visited the winery for our friends b-day, our experience at the Falkner Winery was very poor. The customer service was terrible, we were seated at our table and we went unnoticed for 10-15 minutes before we were greeted. Very unprofessional! Than it took another 10 minutes before our water came, waitress never reappeared so we had to leave. This is with a reservation made in advance. I would certainly not recommend this winery. However, they should consider hiring new staff that at least have eye contact. read more

I stop here for quick lunch, got the smoked salmon sandwich it was cooked perfectly came with side of fries good friendly service only was it took awhile to get the food that's why I'm holding a star .will be back soon maybe next time it will be a little fast . read more

Have been coming here for years, once every 6 months or so. Love the look of the place, but it continues to disappoint time after time...the mushroom soup was good but that's about it. May give the monthly ahi special a try next time. read more

Grand Mother's last visit was 8 years ago, it's a different menu or messed with the old menu. We order lobster Mac and cheese to have little lobster, no Mac " macaroni noodle" and no cheese " cheddar or cheese of any kind" It was Alfredo tortellini. I do not care for Alfredo sauce, but over all it was a trip my grandmother she wasn't happy... everything else was wonderful. Service was amazing. read more

We, my wife and mother-in-law, spent a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Pinnacle. Tina, our waitress, was most helpful explaining the various menu selections. We all decided on the swordfish special. A bottle of Voignier complemented the selection. The wait staff is efficient and non intrusive, a plus in my book. The venue is glassed all around the dining area affording wonderful wine country vistas. In summation, great food, excellent service and most comfortable surroundings. read more

Loved this restaurant! The views were amazing and the food delicious. My husband and I stopped for lunch on a Saturday. Their manager Cathy greeted us and suggested we try the Ancho Chili Spiced Shrimp. Amazingly Delicious!!!! We also indulged in the Creme Brulee which is must. I don't know what their food or wine is like. Didnt' get to try it. Customer Service SUCKS!!!! Called ahead of time, told them I was 5min away (according to my GPS) Lady said she'd check. "OK but you'll have to eat fast because we'll be closing soon" Went there we're told you said 5min and it took you 10min. REALLY?? They agreed that I had called and they told us to come, but for some reason that extra 5 whole min made the difference on us eating there or not. I have to ask, is this what anyone would consider good customer service? I have to assume from reading other posts that their customer service is just that, HORRIBLE. read more

Service was great, it was horrible food! The chicken sandwich was burnt so badly that I couldn't eat it. The pork chop was extremely over cooked and in turn was covered in sauce to try to hide the dryness. Tina was amazing! read more

My husband and I heard about this winery and restaurant from friends, and it certainly did not disappoint. The appetizers are flavorful but lite before the perfectly portioned main meals. We each had pasta dishes that were seasoned to make each element stand out- so yummy. Would always come visit again for lunch if in the area.
