Corned Beef and Cabbage Plate with delicious mashed potatoes and Soda Bread
    Mar K.

You want to try the delicious slab of tender corned beef with seasoned mash potatoes and steamed cabbage and carrots with toasted soda bread plated by Chef Kyle. Add a Guinness. With that meal you will experience actual satisfaction and contentment. That's the first thing I have to say in case you're reading for a recommendation of what to order. Even better if you have it late night after experiencing the best Handel's Messiah concert at the Hult in December. I had a small slider of corned beef along with his amazing fresh Kale salad garnish with shaved Parmesan, walnuts, added protein -- sausage. It came with a toasted slice of soda bread that was great. But the slider was how I realized the corned beef was PERFECTLY prepared. A taste was not enough; I decided to get the dinner plate version to take the next day up to Seattle with me. Fantastic staff included Barkeep Illyia, whose birthday it was. She kept up a steady stream of attentive care, skillful service, friendly banter with each of the clients that came in and said good by to them as they left. Hospitality was her middle name. Love that they have mugs for the regulars hanging from the ceilings, the bar space is great but so are the arm chairs and cushioned seats in the corners of the pub. I even ran into two other concertgoers who had also been so energized after the Messiah concert that they didn't want to go home. We spent a half hour at the bar unpacking the highs and best points of the performance by the Eugene Symphony Orchestra, and the symphony choir, and each of the soloists. We also unanimously agreed the tenor was fantastic, the baritone a paragon of artistic talent, the soprano sang incandescently, and that the final AMEN movement was soul healing and mind blowing simultaneously. Yeah. It was that good. This place was the right place to come to unpack it all over a Guinness and the best corned beef and cabbage in town. Love that it was open late enough to enjoy after the concert. Will be back.

You can go wrong at this little Irish pub. It's got dim lighting, two bars, great service and amazing food. I wanted to get some corned beef so I stopped in. It was thick slab corned beef, perfectly tender. I also got their pretzel with the beer cheese sauce. To be honest, the beer cheese wasn't my favorite...was a little gooopy and the texture wasn't great. But, the pretzel was fantastic. It has the salt, the chew, and it was a great size. I also got their colcannon. It was great! Creamy and delicious. I ordered their brown gravy too because I like gravy with my potatoes and it was hearty and a big side for the price. All in all, i definitely recommend the pint pot!

Everything we come to Oregon to see our daughters and grandson we stop here. The coldest Guinness I've ever had. Their old fashioned is also of the best I've had. The ambiance is great, friendly with that Oregon vibe you can only find there, we always sit at the bar so it's great to interact with the staff behind the bar. It is what the local pub of every neighborhood has to be.

Lovely little pub! The perfect destination on a cold, rainy night - good Irish food and always a good atmosphere. We always get the Bangers and Mash Plate. They have live music playing often.

    Great beers and whiskey selections!

Great vibe Irish pub with extensive beer and spirits selections. Had a Smithwicks and Harp on tap! Shots of Jameson 10 and Guinness of course. Fun staff and quick service at bar or tables. We ended up a large group and sat a big table outside ona beautiful night. Lots of fun!

Can't stop talking about our new favorite local Irish pub! The staff is so nice, the food is made with pride and tastes as good as it looks! Highly recommend the mocktails, they are artfully crafted. We can't wait to come and enjoy the atmosphere for World Cup games!

Great experience, surprised by how large the portions were. Service was a little slow but the food was excellent and left us with a lot of leftovers. The cool Irish decor and ambiance was a plus.

Great place to meet for a bite and a pint! Their Scotch Eggs, BTW, are amazing! Great service and a true Pleasure b atmosphere. Worth the stop.

I was in town for parents weekend at UO My son had been frequenting this place and it was walking distance so we decided to check it out. As soon as we walked in we got seated and helped. The owner/ bartender was super awesome and friendly. The ambiance was great! Food was excellent! We got several items off the menu to share and there was nothing left. Would definitely recommend

We were definitely overall satisfied with our time here. We were warned food was going to take a while which was fine for us. The only "off" thing towards the end of the night was when we were wanting to ask /about/ how long food might be to know if we had time for another drink prior or not but never got a chance to ask or order then the bartender mentioned he didn't come back over cause he didn't want to have to tell us our food still wasn't ready - that seemed odd to us the the ambiance and drinks/food were overall very nice

Went to the goth night (ghost something?) tonight and it was a blast. The bar is gothic style too…read moreso it's marvelous. I heard it's usually an alternative / low key queer bar, more like mixed to me, which is nice. I know they recently made a change about free events turning into free with a drink purchase, which is reasonable! I've been low to no income, to where $10 is a splurge for me. I never got to go to a free event, but if I can't afford it I just don't go! Gotta keep the lights on, and $5 for a goth night was perfect for me. I had so much fun, the music was sweet and the outdoor area was nice too. The dance floor is small- kinda as big as their bathroom- but very accommodating, everyone seemed to have space to do their own thing. The one thing that did puzzle me is that they had a sign on the bathroom that said woman and then said it was all genders. I feel like maybe just taking the woman sign off would be simple enough. The message seems to just be "no urinal". The bathrooms are clean and plenty of stalls though!! I can't say anything about the drinks or food this time around, just the vibes which are great :) Lots of variety of events here, I'm sure I'll be back!

The decor is a D&D dive bar scene....so many things to look at as you wait for bingo to start. I also couldn't taste the cranberry sauce very much. The tots were good and the ranch they came with was also good. The dessert was a nice way to end the meal and wasn't too heavy. We noticed an....interesting....pattern in the wood carving on the wall by our table. Not sure how they never noticed it before it made it on the wall but there's no way they haven't seen or been told about it since then. We definitely weren't expecting....that! The restaurant was clean and wasn't too loud. They have a good amount of parking in their lot. There are only two stalls in the bathroom so it can have a bit of a line when it's busy. This was my second time going to North Bank. It's a bit pricey but it's a good treat and a nice place to take a friend who is visiting from out of town.

There are plenty of things I was noticing as I looked at the same area of the restaurant again and again. Lots of interesting touches that made it more pub/homey (if that makes any sense). It's definitely a smaller restaurant so come during off hours or I think they might allow for reservations. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. A bit of a limited menu but not putting that against them, as long as the food is good it doesn't matter. Got the pickled eggs and pretzel for the appetizer. The pretzel was standard but the sweet mustard sauce was amazing. Pickled eggs were different but it was the first time I tried them and I'm glad that I did. Give them a try. For mains got the shepherd's pie, sausage and mash, and the firehouse chili. Would recommend the shepherd's pie, the firehouse chili was not my personal favorite sort of chili but it does seem like other reviews liked it, so give it a shot and form your own opinion. I liked the sausage but the mash not so much, more grainy than smooth. If you take nothing else from my review, get the sticky toffee pudding. Very indulgent especially after a heavy meal but it was quickly polished off. Overall, decent food with some gems. Definitely a lot of character to it, and unique for the area.

Also they played lots of pool. They even were able to get shaves. In 1933 it became the first bar in Lane County after prohibition to get a liquor license. They also survived the smoking ban by becoming a music venue. Of course the drinks are the best thing about it. They're known for the whiskeys. It's about $9 for Pendleton. That's one of the many to choose from, some good stuff. Cool interior with lots of antiques. There's the bar, and the area's oldest neon sign among other stuff. Good place to check out history. We went to the SkyBar and found it to be a smallish yet convenient place to wait for guests or visitors along with getting a drink or a bite to eat. The bar looks like it can accommodate about 30 people in the interior. There is a nice outdoor patio that can easily accommodate more when the weather is nice. The barkeeper was very attentive and observant, he took our food and drink requests at the bar and in short order, everything was presented. I had a Moscow Mule that I found to be a refreshing drink. Ginger beer, lime and vodka. An excellent combination. I also had an order of the chicken wings and fries. The fries were a normal shoestring variety, cooked well, nicely salted and came in a metal bowl. The wings I found to be outstanding! I don't usually get wings this well made unless I do it myself. I received 8 wings coated with barbecue sauce on a charcuterie board with the fries. The wings were served nicely hot. The meat was piping hot, juicy and tender. The barbecue coating was a hearty middle of the road sauce, not sweet or too smoky. It was caramelized perfectly for that sticky texture and flavor. Definitely a nice coating. Thankfully the bartender brought us a lot of napkins. The wings and fries made for a satisfying meal. The bar boasts a couple of gas fireplaces that make for a warming environment with a few semi private tables. There is a longer table for a larger group as well as several smaller tables and a few bar stools for game watching. All in all we found the bar to be a cozy semi-private environment, yet available to the guests as they come and go. All around, a nice meeting area and watering hole. We will book our family members for a stay here at the hotel. I'm looking forward to trying more of their specialty drinks.
