I went here for a Paint Nite not too long ago. The first thing when you open the door, is the smell of beer. Yes, I know it's a bar. Called the Pint. But I've been to bars that also serve at lunch, and they didn't smell like three month old lager. Blech. But once you're nose blind to it after a while, it's not as bad. Came here to meet my husband who had been there about 30 mins before and had a beer, we were going to stay for another drink however we were siting at the bar for at least 15 minutes without a single member of staff making eye contact. This was around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon so it was pretty quiet, there were at least 3 members of staff who were behind the bar. Four of us stopped by for a quick lunch around 2pm on a Saturday before heading to the Whyte Ave Art Walk. It was relatively empty when we arrived and we snagged a table on the patio. After 20 minutes of waiting to be noticed by a server, my husband finally went inside and grabbed one. She then informed us that she was "crazy busy" today because one of the other servers had come into work still drunk from the night before... After we ordered, we waited an hour to receive our food and didn't see our waitress in the meantime. I ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup and when it eventually arrived, the soup was cold and the sandwich was soggy. Usually once a month I will venture out to Whyte Ave for some drinks and dancing. I usually start at the Pint on Whyte for good drinks and music. I like Pint on Whyte because I can sit down at a table to enjoy my beverages and have conversations with my friends. The noise volume can tend to be a little loud but I don't mind this at all. I also enjoy that if the right song hits me, I can jump on the dance floor without loosing my table to someone else. Service at The bar is us ally quick and friendly but waiting for a server to come to your table is painfully slow. This is why I always go up to the bar to get my drinks. Drink prices are normal rate for what you would spend on Whyte Ave. The only thing that I wish for is that they serve Hpnotiq but until this happens I will stick with Vodka Oranges. read more

I enjoy the fun pub environment. It's a great place to gave a beer but I would not recommend the chicken lettuce wraps. They simply aren't made the traditional way and the chefs twist on them just doesn't work. read more

I stopped in for some wings and a beer. Definitely a good spot for that.The wings were good and the fries were awesome. The beer selection was decent, my only problem with this place is the crowd. I felt out of place being over 21, even on a Tuesday night. I think I would have loved this place in my twenties, but in my thirties, I feel a little too old to hear "kids" scream as they slam their shots. The bartender was attentive and friendly. I will stop by again during my visits to Edmonton, but I'll have to make sure to do it during the week. I passed by on a Saturday night and it had more of a campus bar feel. read more

The pint on whyte is very dead for a Friday night on one of Edmonton's busiest entertainment districts. Nice establishment and definitely perfect for younger people. Fairly cheap beer and a good DJ. read more

Mediocre at best, the potato skins lacked toppings, apart from the slathered on guacamole that somehow got on the rest of the food. Wings were below average but the deep fried pickles were great. Service was lacking but I'll chalk that up to the fact that it was packed and a game was on. read more

For a place being called the Pint the beer ale action is very limited. The food takes a long time. We waited around 45-50 minutes and the place wasn't busy. If your in the area and don't have 3 hours for lunch head elsewhere. read more

I went to the pint and my friend ordered a water and it had floaties in it. He had to order 3 glasses of water before they gave him bottled water.. we waited an hour for food that didn't show up a man had completed about a fly in his cup and I watched a manager cough into his hands then mix a drink, and grab a straw and put it in the drink without washing his hands... needless to say we left. read more

My friends had booked a party at the Pint with Kevin. The pint had promised a group discount on te menu and reserved us tables at the back. As I am pregnant, I went to visit my friends and have a bite to eat before heading home early. I paid her double my bill which did not reflect the promised discount before leaving.. At the end of the evening, my friend was given a bill totalling more than $225 for the remainder of the bills that had apparently not been cleared up by guests. My food was on there. When I found out, I called and left the manager a message, as obviously I had some concerns regarding our server and our group tab. I never heard back despite leaving two messages regarding my portion of the group tab. I was not drinking obviously and was pretty unhappy they didn't deduct my payment from the tab and refused to discuss it. Additionally, despite the fact that I left the waitress double what I owed on the bill, it's the Pint's policy to charge a mandatory gratuity on top of all that for groups, so they also had to tip her twice. The management of the pint refused to deal with the waitress pocketing the money all night and billing the party again. Bottom line, don't ever book an event or party here, they will rip you off and don't care about customer service or accountability. I want to emphasize that Numerous attempts to rectify this situation between the server, manager, and the party guests were made before writing this review. 1 out of 5 This Saturday afternoon me and my friend decided to go to the pint. For the first twenty minutes we waited on the patio with no service there was 12 people in the bar . The service was terrible, it wasn't even busy. My friend and I then moved inside from the patio I sat at the table for a half an hour before the waitress took me and my friends order . She was rude and rushed us to order food, we ordered food but did not receive any refills that we requested. during the wait time I asked for the bill almost an hour passed. The waitress that served us would serve everyone in the bar including the table next to us 4 times Over but ignored us every time even when we tried to get her attention . While we sat there trying to get her attention and she would walk passed us like we were completely invisible . She Never asked us if we wanted more drinks or food. 45 minutes went by and I decided to go to the bar and pay my bill .i asked the bartender for my bill and my friends . The bartender and waitress were on their phones ..We than asked another waitress to ring up our bill, she than forget to give us our bill . We stood there for another 20 minutes at the bar after we requested our bill 3 TIMES! . They continued to giggle and laugh and joke around showing memes on their phones .The waitress finally ignoring us for almost two hours, we finally get to pay and leave. Oh and the beef shires were over cooked that I ordered as well and she also never gave me my beer that I requested either when I asked to pay for the bill I asked for one more beer I did not receive , my friend also didn't not receive his beer he asked for either . If I could rate zero out of ten I would . I highly suggest you avoid this establishment I will not come back to " The Pint" the entire staff were very immature and rude, we felt ignored on purpose . Checked out The Pint for the very first time Friday afternoon, just in time for their Happy Hour (3 to 7), where starters are all $4 off. Place seemed fairly busy, but we were served right away. Service was excellent and the food arrived promptly. We ordered the nachos, wings, and a veggie platter. The nachos were full of toppings and quite filling. The wings were very meaty and saucy. Great flavours to choose from too! We'll definitely be going again. read more

I have walked out of this place more than once due to the awful service I received.. Or rather didn't receive. Two stars because it can be a fun place to drink on a Friday or Saturday night when it's busy but I'd recommend having drinks elsewhere first if it's your intention to get silly because service is slow. These things being said, The Pint isn't a place I go to on weekends or a place to drink at so 95% of the time I've been here has been weekday late evenings for a bite to eat after work or the like. It's the same story every time, just a matter of severity... Complete avoidance and lack of acknowledgement. Come in, take a seat at the bar or a table directly near it.. No greeting, no acknowledgement that a customer has come in. I usually have to wait 10 minutes or so before a waitress or the bar tender finally gives enough of a sh*t to ask if I'd like a drink and a menu. Food is alright, about what youd expect for pub fare. Prices are decent. It's the service that's lacking and it's a repeated thing. I've been having this experience over the course of a handful of visits over a year or so and its the SAME staff members working there, still doing the same thing. No idea how these people still have a customer service oriented job but the Pint family seems pretty close knit so I suppose that's why. read more

This particular pint location seems exactly like The Pint downtown. The only difference is I can walk or train to The Pint downtown. Nothing special to report at this location other than it seems to be popular. I was actually pleasantly surprised that the bar wasn't bursting at the seams with 18 year olds. I probably won't visit this place much because of the location factor, but I have no other complaints... it's your average bar. read more

Oh the Pint. Im usually not a big fan of all things Oil City Hospitality but they can do restaurants. Bars are another thing. Both locations are a good time late at night or for a hockey game. Great environment. I used to be an everyday regular at the Downtown Location. Love the variety of the menu items, great pricing and LOVE LOVE the skinny dipper appy! their wings can use some work tho but it seems that there is something for everyone (except maybe gluten freers). Looked like The bearded guy n the Asian bouncer prob taken some pre workout before their shift because it seemed as tho they felt like they had something to prove by kicking out people before they finished their drink..... Worst bar in Edmonton. Atmosphere is a tired out sports bar, with a "young" crowd kind-of feel. But it doesnt work on so many levels. The bartenders assume tips, and are totally judgmental assholes. This is the worst service we have ever had. Server barely acknowledged us. Left our beers sitting on the bar for 15 mins. Never refilled our waters. Finally took our order and didn't punch it in for at least 10 mins. Two of her tables left because she didn't deliver their drinks. Food came 1hr and 15 minutes later. It sucked. My Cajun chicken was hot sauce on a bun that was not toasted. The meat was not warm. She never came to pick up our dishes. Brutal. The manager tried to deal with it but it is not a place I would ever go back to. Plus, it was dirty. Napkins were all over the ground. I know it is a pub but for two hours, servers and mangers ignored the mess. Maybe that's why it was the only place around Whyte Ave that didn't have a 2 hour wait on this hot day. read more

I don't really know how the food is at the Pint because I didn't have the patience to wait. My friend and I sat down at our table and waited almost 20 minutes before we even saw a server. When I called over that we were ready to order drinks she said she'd be right back. About 10 minutes later she finally came over to take our drink order. I have now been here 30 minutes and have yet to get a drink. We informed her that it was okay that we were leaving to get drinks elsewhere. She seemed indifferent so we left. The 3 stars are given solely to the bartender who was amazing. He deserved 5/5. He was funny and suggested a great Edmonton brewed beer for me to drink. Our service however was atrocious. We sat at a table and watched the server server other tables around us and not come to us. We were a table of 2 girls and the other tables were all men. We went to go find a table for the Oilers game today. We found a table that had a card for reserving the table on it but the card did not have a name on it. We sat down only to be told by the waitress that her brother 'might' be coming and that if he was then we would have to leave. Lo and behold about a minute later we find out that this brother is in fact coming and we were hustled out the door despite the table not being reserved in his name and us being there first. This is really poor customer service and reflects terribly on your staff. read more

Absolutely terrible service! Sure it was a busy night but we waited for over an hour and had 0 service... as in not a single server even came in our general area. A good 4 tables completely ignored. Finally, I get up to ask for some service, I get an apology and promptly after I sit down and a waitress finally shows up. She then tells us that it's an hours wait for food... I understand it was a busy night but I'm a waitress myself and if that was my section I would never ignore it for over an hour... (the hour we could have spent waiting for food had she shown up on time ) it's not like she just "forgot" about the table.. I can understand one table hidden in the back and accidentally forgetting to put in a drink order or something but to completely avoid the tables for an hour!? and then tell us all (yes us ALL, I eavesdropped the tables near us who were all given the same 1 hour food speech)...it's just unacceptable. I was here on Saturday with about ten other girls for a bachelorette party... Our waitress was great and the bartenders were friendly, but I really did not appreciate the short and rude bartender with a serious napoleon complex. I guess he needs something to keep him busy because he was looking to pick a fight with a totally sober and calm girl, and then attempted to kick me out of the bar when I asked him what the problem was. A group of six of us went to go eat around 2 pm. Our whole terrible experience was not based off our waitress, she tried her hardest and was super apologetic. Apparently there was a World Cup rugby game and there had been people at the pub drinking since 8 am. Everything was alright until a man came over to our table, stumbling, with a tray full of shots. He was barely intelligible and started insulting the male part of our group, yelling extremely loud with profanity, and being extremely racist. He put his hand into one of our friends drink and threw the ice at us. We asked him to leave us alone and he didn't leave until our waitress came by. We asked her if he could leave and she told us he worked there and he had some sort of sway with the management. We saw him doing more and more shots, yelling more and more. The couple behind us also complained. The waitress talked to her manager, and he went over and talked to him. However he pointed us out to the extremely drunk man, clearly telling him we complained about him. He got extremely agitated and was attempting to come talk to us. The manager had to hold him back to have him not come over. He started getting more and more angry. The couple behind us complained again, worried that we were going to get into trouble because the manager told him who complained. Nothing happened, and we decided to cancel our orders (a bill of at least $120) despite the poor waitress trying to calm the situation down. The manager came over and was completely unapologetic and extremely unprofessional. His excuse was that the employee was off the clock, which had nothing to do with the situation and he handled the situation completely improperly. Not ever going back. read more
