Baked beans and THE BRISKET SANDO
    David S.

These are really nice people and I wish them the best but I just don't think they are trying hard enough. I hope they start thinking about flavors and ways to stand out. If this is considered good BBQ in Southern California then I feen sorry for you all. Their baked bean are Bushes Baked Beans straight from the can. The potato salad is just OK. I could smell smoke at there establishment but I couldn't taste it in the meat. The 4 stars are for how nice they were and because I felt bad that I couldn't give them a better written review. Josh: Take a trip up north to Champlin, MN and stop in at Q-Fanatic and see how it's done. It is one of many.I really do wish you the best.

Last time I had this, it was the best barbecue ever this time it was burnt and simply way too salty. I have a stomach ache. For the amount that you pay, I expect it to be not burned. Only 1/4 was edible. I've been here a few times and it wasn't like this. I will try again, but if it's like this again, I won't return. Sad

While on jury duty, I sought out this barbecue restaurant. Which was Iincredibly difficult to find. I honestly had to drive through several - what appeared to be trucking businesses to finally find this very small hidden BBQ restaurant. There was one table out front which was occupied by an employee. Inside I found four or five barstools and a kiosk to place my order. I got the feeling the menu was seasonal. Sadly, there weren't many options. So I ordered the $10 brisket platter. The brisket was delicious. However, I was a little disappointed with everything else. I tried both sauces. The barbecue sauce was very spicy. I have no idea what the white sauce was, but I'm definitely not a fan. Basically, my lunch consisted of a slice of brisket and pickles. Oy. Perhaps a catering package would've been better vs an individual lunch.

If you're even thinking about going to The Pit Barbecue, stop thinking and just go. I had one of the best burgers of my life here--no exaggeration. The ground brisket patty was insanely flavorful on its own, but then they added this maple bourbon bacon jam that honestly should be illegal. Sweet, smoky, savory--somehow perfectly balanced without overpowering the burger. Every bite just worked. I also grabbed a side of mac & cheese and baked beans, and they absolutely held their own. The mac & cheese was rich, creamy, and exactly what you want it to be--no dry noodles, no bland sauce. Just the perfect ratio of pasta to cheese, topped with bacon because of course it is. As it should be. The baked beans were classic but done right--sweet, hearty, and loaded with little pieces of pork that made each bite better than the last. And whatever you do... don't skip the cornbread cookie. I almost did, and that would've been a huge mistake. It's the kind of thing you order "just to try" and then immediately wish you had two. Overall: ridiculously good food, great balance of flavors, and everything tasted like it was made with actual care. I'll definitely be back--and probably thinking about that burger until I do.

We had the brisket sando and tri tip sandwich. We liked the flavor but the meat was chewy. We are used to TX barbecue, so it's really hard to fill those shoes. $40.00 for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks and a cookie. I still encourage you to check it out, you may love or like it. The service can be better, more welcoming and asking if it's someone's first time, explain the menu, make suggestions. Lots of room for improvements.

Josh (the owner of "The Pit Barbecue") caterered my retirement celebration. He came highly recommended and I can see why. The food was simply amazing...from the delicious appetizers to the scrumptious dinner...I went back for seconds (especially the brisket). Service was impeccable and the food never ran out. If you are looking for someone to cater your event, highly recommend Josh and The Pit Barbecue. You won't be disappointed!!!

The sandwich was a great size and so much better tasting than I had imagined. Plenty of juicy brisket, cheese and the Texas toast was toasted to perfection 10/10. The brisket was juicy, flavorful and fall apart tender. All of the sides were amazing and definitely shareable. They were served hot and tasted freshly prepared. Lastly, the service was fantastic. The guy that took our order was very friendly and had such a great welcoming demeanor (not all that common these days). When you first walk into this place you have hope for great Texas BBQ. They options are simple (as…read morethey should be for a real BBQ place), meats and a few sides and some sandwiches. I ordered the loaded brisket fries, 1 lb or moist brisket, 1/2 lb or burnt ends. The loaded fries were awesome and fresh crispy fries with 3 nice pieces of moist brisket on top. Highly recommend Burnt ends - my all time favorite and hard to get at a true BBQ place as they go fast as true burnt ends are limited. These did not disappoint and were spot on. Brisket - I like moist was real real tender and had a great flavor. We also had a side of the brisket baked beans and those babies were amazing. The have not a spicy and a regular BBQ sauce and I loved the spicy for sure. The regular is spot as as well and I just prefer spicy. The pit master and his wife (?) were super nice and the resultant was very relaxed and not loud at all. This is the BEST BBQ in the valley hands down. There was no wait for a booth, and the restaurant had a fun, family-friendly atmosphere with TVs throughout the dining room. The complimentary bread was warm, fluffy, and fresh. The cinnamon butter was tasty, though definitely on the sweeter side. The peanuts were exactly what you'd expect from Texas Roadhouse. For drinks, we tried the blue lemonade and strawberry lemonade. The blue lemonade tasted pretty similar to regular lemonade, but the free refills were a nice bonus. The strawberry lemonade was the standout and definitely worth ordering. We also tried the Dragonfruit Sparkler, which was fruity, refreshing, and one of the better specialty drinks on the menu. For entrees, the Herb Crusted Chicken Dinner was the clear winner. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and well-seasoned, and the corn on the side was surprisingly delicious. The Country Fried Chicken Dinner was just okay. It wasn't bad, but I've had better versions elsewhere, and even with the gravy it felt a little lacking in flavor. The fries were pretty standard. Another plus was the large parking lot and the reasonable prices. The portions were generous, and overall the meal felt like a good value for the money. A special shoutout to Candace for providing friendly and attentive service throughout our visit. Overall, Texas Roadhouse delivered a solid dining experience with good food, affordable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. I'd definitely come back for the herb crusted chicken and strawberry lemonade.

The first they forgot my lemonade tea and the second time the bread rolls. Something to consider maybe less hands in the bag and perhaps giving specific tasks to the servers. This is definitely not the brief service I expect for an interaction that takes minutes, but cost over $150.

Her suggestions were spot on and really made my decision easy. I ordered the Rib Tickler and also decided to add their Link & Drink special. I normally wouldn't have ordered the sausage, but I'm so glad I did! It was smoky, juicy, and reminded me of a really good kielbasa. It ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. The onion rings were perfectly crispy, the BBQ was flavorful, and the portions were huge. I only ate about a quarter of my meal before I was completely full, so I'll easily get two or three meals out of it. What attracted me was the Texas Style BBQ and I've read plenty of positive reviews saying the BBQ is legit. Last Saturday on July 4th we made our way to Temecula to dine at the Swing Inn Cafe & BBQ. The town was packed due to a 250th birthday celebration parade. The parade blocked us from getting to the restaurant. We had to wait until it was over which was like 20 minutes. At the hostess station we were advised it would be a 45 minutes wait for a party of 5. The place was busy with customers but the employees did an excellent job in providing great service. 20 minutes later we were seated outside. There were six parties ahead of us but they didn't show when called. Guess they got tired of waiting. I ordered a full rack of the pork spare ribs with smoked beans as my one side. But when I got my food I had an extra side of smoked beans. The ribs were tender, thick and the meat came of the bone easily. It had a nice smokey taste and the smoked beans complimented the meat. I have to admit one of the best spare pork ribs I had in my life. My mom got the chicken fried steak with mash potatoes and gravy. The chicken fried steak was seasoned well and very tender. My step dad ordered Large Brisket plate with coleslaw. And my brother and sister in law both got the 2 meat plate with smoked turkey and brisket with sides of macaroni and cheese and smoked beans. The beef brisket and smoke turkey was very good according to my family. For dessert I got the cinnamon roll a popular item, step dad and mom shared a slice of apple pie and my brother got the coconut cream pie. Everything was very sweet and delicious. We were hoping to catch Dean but I figured he was probably spending time with family on this holiday. We will return and hopefully he will be there so we can let him know how much we loved his food and acting.
