Thick Build Your Own Large 14" Stuffed Crust Pizza
    Amanda J.

The best pizza I have had in a long time - and I love pizza and eat it a lot ! We ordered delivery to our hotel as we are from out of town. Fast delivery. The option to order the pizza well done is something I have never seen before and the most amazing idea ever !! It made the crust just a little bit crispier and the cheese has a perfect brown top. Blew my mind it was so good ! We also ordered a salad that was great and huge! We also ordered something called a Warhammer. Since we already got the pizza we got a garlic cheese warhammer but they have ones that are stuffed with anything that goes on a pizza more. You might want To just get a warhammer Sometimes and not a pizza ! (What?! I know !) they were really good. Next year when we are back in Warwick we will be back but you should go now !

Hard to get a hold of them on the phone but finally went through -- we have ordered from here before without a problem but this time the sandwich was burnt /overcooked so we couldn't even have it.. on the other hand the pizza and onion rings were delicious- we will still order form here again but probably on a less busier night

I ordered an Italian grinder and it was delicious, my server Charlene was amazing, it is typically a Togo place yet there was an option for me to dine in, the variety of pizzas and grinders are amazing. Come on in and give it a try , you will be satisfied

I bought a pizza and spinach calzone today when I got home the pizza was burnt a total waist of money and time and gas I had to throw it out

Awesome! I ordered a White pizza, I picked it up late, and it was still warm. The cheese mixed with the oregano was perfect. Not to greasy, and the cheese melts in your mouth. The service was incredible, I was given my food fast, and with care. I usually don't like pizza, but this was an exception, Will be visiting again!

First corner piece! Love the crust!

Don't ever order an extra large square pizza unless you are feeding 10 people! This is the first time ordering from The Pizza Nomad. I had no idea what I was ordering! The pizza was huge! And the toppings! OMG! I told the delivery girl I would give her a thumbs up for a great delivery tonight! She was on time. She was very nice even though she had a hard time finding our house! Very happy with our first time ordering from The Pizza Nomad! Maybe next time we will get a small pizza!

Toppings were great, I got a lot and they didn't appear to charge a lot extra at all.

Because I know about this little hidden gem already, I was driving home after a long day and I wasn't going to pass it without stopping. This is what I'd call emotional support pizza. Not a pilgrimage. Not a revelation. Just a really solid pie from a place that knows what it's doing and doesn't need to make a fuss about it. Pepperoni and black olive for me today. The crust had that chew you want, cooked through, some golden brown color on the bottom. The sauce was rich tomato with garlic running underneath the cheese, present enough to know it's there without fighting for attention. The olives were generous and distributed like someone thought about where they landed, not just dropped from a height. The pepperoni is cupped and charred slightly at the edges. The toppings-to-cheese ratio was right. It arrived fast and it arrived hot. This is what a revered neighborhood pizza place is supposed to be. Maria's does it. It's primarily takeout, four tables, busy foot traffic in and out the whole time I was there. They do good business and they know what their business is. I sat down anyway because I tend to be an iconoclast, and it was a fine visit. If you live nearby, you already know about this place. If you don't, that's between you and your neighborhood. Maybe you should move.

I ordered over the phone and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I walked into the shop twenty minutes later and it was ready. The staff was very courteous and the whole ordering/paying process was as it should be - easy! I took it home and it had just cooled enought to eat it. This is the type of pizza I love. A thinker crust, loaded with mozzarella, and a nice sauce that was not overwhelming. The sausage had a nice spice to it. (For the record, I am not a fan on New Haven style pizza, which seems to be popular in RI - this is not that. Nor is it New York style - which I do like BUT not over the style that Maria's serves.) I aslo added some wings to the order (this time spicy BBQ). Those were good as always. It also should be said that I had left over pizza and it reheated nicely! They now are my go to pizza place.

It's over-the-counter ordering, with pizzas another option, and more importantly, you can also get beer to complement your wings. -- Buffalo Wings: From the first visit, some of the best I've had in a long, long time. Not the biggest (I'd say right around average size), but they nailed every aspect, from the piercing tartness of the sauce to match the spice, to the butteriness, to the crispness of every surface, to the tender and juicy interiors on every piece. If that weren't enough, the blue cheese tipping sauce was also spectacular, with noticeable sharpness and lots of chunks of real cheese to go along with the creamy liquid. They matched the buffalo sauce nicely. -- Loganberry Wings: From the second visit, a Buffalo regional sauce mixing raspberry flavors with barbecue sauce. The result is a mix of sweet and savory in a rich, full-bodied sauce with plenty of oomph and plenty of cling. It's sweet for sure, but its barbecue sauce component cuts it and a dip into some ranch cuts it more while adding a little something. I loved the sauce. The wings, though, were a little bit smaller and a little bit dryer this time. Still very good. -- 716 Mulberry Chicken Fingers: Also from the second visit. Nothing like Chinese chicken fingers; more like a chicken tender, and more still like a chicken cutlet. Three flat pieces in the small order provided minimal thickness, but a decent amount of meat, spread out. The Mulberry sauce has a Buffalo base with some additional secret seasonings and other ingredients to change the flavor a bit. Not bad, but I think I'd go straight Buffalo next time. Tender inside, but no crispness outside. This includes fries, which were a very solid McDonald's facsimile. Notable: Easy parking in their own lot. A minimum 25-minute wait for wings, so plan accordingly. Friendly, helpful counter people. So two visits, one great, one very good. Some memorable sauces and some memorable presentations. I'll be back to see if they hit great again and get bumped to a 5.

Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. The restaurant wasn't too busy, but there was a steady crowd. People were either dining in or picking up to-go orders. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, so there are plenty of areas to dine. The bartender was friendly and helpful. I decided to go with the seared salmon, Brussels sprouts, and corn risotto. Thankfully, it wasn't much of a wait because I was hungry. My food came out fresh and hot. Everything was really delicious. My only complaint was there were a few flies swarming around me, which made my dining experience less enjoyable. I spent most of my time trying to swat them away. The bartender even moved me to another spot, but they still followed me. While I really enjoyed my food and the service, it might be a good idea for them to invest in small table fans to keep the flies away. Otherwise, my food was tasty, and the service was great!

Craving wings, a comfy spot to enjoy said wings? This isn't that spot. It's loud, the ambience is over stimulating and the food is meh at best. We got: Teriyaki tenders with fries 5 and 5 buffalo and honey BBQ bone in wings Side of tots The bill total with tip was a hair under $50. A little steep but would've been worth it if the food was better. It was 30 min before our food came out. We had one customization and that was no seasoning on the tots or fries, salt is ok. I'll run down the list: Tots were a notch below room temp Fries were stale and same temp as tots Tenders room temp and wings not warm in the least. They appear to have a temperature issue and frankly with a table of fried foods, that's kind of a big deal. The sauces for all were delicious though! I'll give them that! Yummy blue cheese dipping sauce too. I was disappointed especially with the tots and fries they had SO MUCH POTENTIAL to be amazing! They weren't greasy and could have been potato perfection. The place isn't comfy at all, there's tv's lining the top border of the room all playing different sport things and ads. The chairs aren't comfortable and it's def not made to hang out for any length of time. It's in a mall, so there's lots of family which is a little odd in that the it has the air of a sports bar. A few desserts are available too. Soft drinks, full bar, draft and can beers. They also offer 'house' beers on draft at a lower price point. Sit at the bar or see the host/ess to be seated at a table, booth or patio. Restrooms have improved since the last review. Cleaner for sure. The stalls in the ladies room have full doors.
