My experience on 7/8 around 5:15pm is not worthy of even 1 star. We ordered three pizzas and two drinks. All three pizzas had way too much cheese. We couldn't taste any of the other toppings. It was way too much cheese. We couldn't finish them. Also the woman's restroom was disgusting. There were flys and nats inside. The toilet was overflowing. The smell was horrible and it traveled outside the restroom to the drink machine areas. The toilet and sink looked like they had never been cleaned. I shared my concerns with one of the employees but he didn't seem phased by it or acknowledged that he would take care of it . The restaurant was not even busy. I will never return to this establishment again. read more

Out of all of the "quick" vegan pizza options there are I would have to say The Pizza Press is hands down the best. Not once that I've been here have I ever been let down and I can always trust that they will provide me with a great tasting fresh pizza. The Gazette is a dream come true when craving a pizza that is vegan. And the fact that they actually have it on their menu (and have a great name for it LOL) is an extra star in my book. As much as I would personally not choose to have Daiya cheese (please The Pizza Press switch to Chao cheese!!) I'm glad that they do offer it and aren't like most establishments and upcharge it. The veggies that come standard are just right (I personally add jalapenos to mine) and the best part is the wild arugula and the CHIMICHURRI SAUCE!!. I have yet to find another pizza spot that puts this sauce on their pizza; it is great and its adds that extra zest to the food. Overall I would not only is this one of my favorite pizza places to eat at but this location has always provided me with excellent service and has gotten me in and out quickly. read more

Often at these fast fire type places, they have a section of the store where you can just look and pick up your own order if you placed it online. Here, I had to walk to the register and wait for someone to help me. It seemed like they only had 1 person to handle the register and the online orders and there was a long line of people waiting to pay, so it took a while for him to even look my direction. Pizza here is amazing!! Went here on a whim after getting some drinks at the brewery nearby. So glad we did! You can build your own pizza here or you can choose from the menu. I'm very particular so I built my own pizza. The crust was thin and delicious and the cheese was tasty. You also get a little ranch with the pizza which I thought was a nice touch. They also have beers on tap here with a decent selection. I got a sour beer that I really enjoyed. Service was good. There was a new guy training who was really nice. The girl training him was rude to him to the point where more than one of my friends wanted to say something to her. The last thing was that the bathroom didn't have soap!! Super gross. Food-wise was amazing, but it DID take a long time to place your order. I think the problem was that there were only two people helping you assembling your beast. The staff was very friendly, but for some reason, it seemed difficult for them to hear which items/ingredients you'd like to add on your pizza. Vegan cheese charged +1 extra, while Blaze had it for a set price. Overall I feel they were pretty similar; The Pizza Press offers seemingly higher quality ingredients whereas Blaze offers wider selections. As a Chapman student, Pizza Press quickly becomes a favorite due to its convenience, affordable prices and amazing pizza. After using your Chapman discount, a pizza comes out to around $8, and for a small person like myself, it can be stretched to 2.5 meals. The toppings at Pizza Press are hard to beat, and I love that I can customize it to my preference that day (even though I tend to get the same thing every time regardless). They have a gluten free crust option that I haven't personally tried, but many friends say that it's still good. Although the pink sauce (mix of red and white...duh?) is amazing, I've been gravitating toward olive oil lately because it lets you have more plain crust which is my favorite part. I definitely recommend getting some sort of sauce on top. I like the bbq, but I've also tried the balsamic, and I'm not opposed. Pizza Press is always a fun environment since it's so close to Chapman University. The workers are always extremely friendly and helpful. While the line can get long, it's constantly moving. My husband and kids waited in line for 30 minutes tonight. Then was told it will be 15 more minutes (as he was at the front of the line) because they have to catch up on online orders. When the girl finally asked what she could get for him the guy working (looked like manager) said "no! We have to do online orders cause they are late". If I'm being honest, if you want your tastebuds to stay intact and you want to make it to an old age, stay away from this place. This place was wow. Wow in a bad way. It was just straight garbanzo. I ordered the tribune pizza and it made me feel absolutely disgusting after. I can now sort of understand how the judges on Masterchef feel when they have to eat something that tastes terrible. I don't know what's up with the people here, but more salt DOES NOT equal more good. Like seriously stop. Please I beg of you I can't handle any more white stuff in my mouth. My tastebuds were absolutely obliterated after leaving this place and I felt terrible. To add on, they left this old lady waiting at the cash register the entire time I was eating. The food was already bad but the customer service just officially made this place even worse. I've hit up a lot of build your own pizza places over the years and The Pizza Press is my favorite one. I used to go the Anaheim location frequently, but the Orange location is far more convenient for me now since it's easier to get to and parking is plentiful. All the pizzas are less than 9 bucks and I never finish a whole pie, so I end up taking the rest home for a midnight snack or breakfast the next morning. They have signature pizzas all named after newspapers. I've tried them all, but I always go back to getting something with a bunch of meat on it. My last visit I tried the limited time special "The Bulletin". This was basically a BBQ sauce, pulled pork, and coleslaw pizza. I added pepperoni and bacon for more meatiness. My pizza came out nice and hot. The crust was crisp and not soggy and the quality of the ingredients were excellent. The Pizza Press is a great place to relax with friends. They even offer about 15 beers on tap, so enjoy that pizza with a little beer and wine. read more

I am a regular visitor of Pizza press locations in OC. I have tried the pizza stores at Orange and Fullerton. This location in Orange is very crowded and generally full of college kids from Chapman. Pizza itself is wry good though. You sometimes have to wait in line to checkout. Overall a good pizza place which allows unlimited toppings. read more

Walked in, was greeted, created my pizza, paid, sat, ate, went to heaven! I did the publish your own pizza: spicy red, mozzarella, pepperoni, extra mushroom, red onion, and olives. Double P's has become my favorite byop joint. It has surpassed pieology on my list. The veggie options are 20% more than the average spots like pizza rev. They also carry gluten free, and vegan cheese which are things i must put on. For cheese lovers, pizza press ("PP") definitely contains more cheeses. From feta, to some weird stuff i can't say or spell. PP also has oregano, and thyme, and basil at the end. Chopped garlic or straight garlic are good options too. The peeps aren't shy about stacking the veggies.... Great custie service. Can get a little slow with the service as the pizza exits the oven. LOL someone enlighten me), sun-dried tomatoes , halved cherry tomatoes, a variety of fresh herbs, artichoke hearts, salami, prosciutto (I think).. A pretty wide selection. Just go!!! One thing I dislike.. The clear walls that separate you and the worker are quite tall if you're 5'1.5". Came here with the family on a Sunday night...just about as good as it gets! There was a bit of a line, but I don't mind waiting for any food that is made freshly in front of my eyes. The craft beer list was awesome and the staff was super helpful at the register and then even after we sat down they came around to chat and make sure everything was tasting good. Which brings me to the food - delicious. I skipped the cheese on mine which can often lead a very dry pie (especially when the crust is thin) but it was incredibly tasty. Got sriracha on top, kale, cilantro, jalapenos, caramelized onions etc. I also was taken with how great the design of the space was. Really well done for what I was expecting to be a typical fast-casual restaurant. No detail was overlooked in the design and decor, and in general the branding is awesome. read more

Their ingredients definitely seemed to be of good quality, and I love that they have so many cheese options! They didn't seem to have as many protein options as other BYO pizza places I've been to, but it's alright since I'm not a fan of throwing 3+ different meat options on my pizza. Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Ok, too much? With the recent onslaught of build-your-own pizza places, I wasn't sure what to expect going in to Pizza Press. I'd heard a lot about it and witnessed the lines out the door when they first opened. Once my friends and I got in the door, there was a reasonable sized line but it went pretty quickly. Though the basic premise is still the same (choose from pre-ingredient selected pizzas or build your own by choosing your ingredients Chipotle-style), Pizza Press still puts their own spin on it starting with the cool newsboys hats all of the employees have to wear. The biggest difference though is their massive selection of craft beer on tap and in the bottles. It brings whole new meaning to the concept of pizza and beer. I went in expecting it to be expensive but it actually was quite affordable. I didn't venture into the build your own realm and instead went with The Press Cheese. With a bottle of water it came out to around $8. Not bad for a good sized pizza, a side of Sriracha and a couple of pieces to take home as leftovers. If you like cheese pizza, this is one of the yummiest too. The only downside is the seating. If it's busy and cold outside (like it was on this particular evening), it could be a fight for a place to sit, even at the bar with high stools/chairs they have. We were lucky and a table opened up for the 4 of us. It's a new place still so the crowds will probably stick around for a while longer. The staff in the actual line wasn't as friendly as they are over at Blaze but the guy at the Cashier was really nice and even brought us boxes when he saw we needed them so we didn't have to get up and ask for them. Every single employee at pizza press is so hardworking from Anthony, Ana, Nicole, Connie etc. their service is fantastic and seems like a lot of them are students so interacting with them is so fun. I made my own pizza with every single meat and it only costed about $8.50! So Fresh So Good! Can't wait to come back here again, definitely recommend to anyone visiting old town orange. I usually go to Disney but tried this location for the first time. It's the same set up and same great pizza I get at the other one. This time I asked for less toppings and it came out nice and crispy. If you ask for too much it's hard for it to cook all the way through FYI. If you like customizing pizza and having an individual pie for around $10, give this place a visit. read more

So I just downgraded the review from 5 to 4. The food is a 5. But I am still waiting on line after 25 minutes and not even ordered yet. SUGGESTIONS: For the customer, use the app about an hour before you want to eat on a busy time. For the restaurant, maybe a second oven is now needed...or a triple wide so you can put three pizzas in at the same time. Maybe try an order form and have customers fill out their topping before ordering. Seems a lot of time is people deciding what they want when they get to the order station. read more

I also like the thin crust - it allows you to really enjoy what's on the pizza instead of eating loads of bread. The pizzas are big enough to share too. BEER. Pizza Press has an extensive craft beer selection. I'm not a beer snob, but sometimes it's nice to venture beyond Heineken, Corona, etc. Prices are reasonable, as most beers are under $7. SERVICE. The staff here is awesome. Each time I've been here, they're always having fun, chatting with customers, singing, etc. This isn't to say that they mess around - your pizza will be made promptly and just the way you like it. It's refreshing to see them truly enjoy their jobs instead of merely going through the motions. LATE HOURS. Pizza Press is open late - I think till about 1 AM? Solid pizza. There seem to be lots of "create your own pizza places" a lot now and Pizza Press is at the top. Besides Blaze Pizza, this establishment is one of my go to pizza spots. I reviewed Blaze before and Pizza Press is very similar. Instead of putting the pizza in one of those huge ovens, Pizza Press puts there pizza along a line in an "extended oven?" I'm not sure what they're called but it reminds me of the toasters in hotel lobbies that slowly pushes the bread along. The ricotta was fresh; my favorite ingredient on pizza and the pesto was good, too. The crust was crispy. The worst part of my visit was parking, which says a lot.
