Not the first time I have been at Cava, so I was happy to visit this location. I went in with my partner and we ordered a build your own bowl. I love that we have this option since you can make it with whatever items you want. Our order: - Half Super Greens, Half Power Greens - Grilled Chicken - Traditional Hummus, Tzatziki, Roasted Eggplant - Fiery Broccoli, Pickled Onions, Pickles, Tomato, Onions, Cucumbers, Shredded Romaine, Crumbled Feta and Fire-Roasted Corn - Lemon Herb Tahini Dressing - Free Side Pita I love everything looks in this bowl. It truly screams health is wealth in one bowl. All the ingredients are fresh and it's delicious at the same time. The employees making the bowl and the cashier were very pleasant. I think the only comment that I have is the cleanliness of the space. We sat at one of the tables, and we had to take a few napkins to clean off previously left food off the tables and chairs. I suspect it was because they were short staffed or did not have enough time to walk around to clean the tables. It was rather busy when we were there for lunch. Marvin 100% hates his job. This was my second time visiting a Cava. The food is good, but the service feels like it's not always the best. I'm not sure if it's the company culture, or because they can get really busy, but my experience today with Marvin was the cherry on top of service I'd never request. It was especially terrible. This cava is also pretty small, and located in the same plaza as Walmart. There are a lot of homeless people hanging out in the parking lot, and the outdoor tables they have seem to be absolutely filthy. The food itself is good. I think this location doesn't do a good job on the cook in comparison to the last one I went to. The meat feels dry and there is a little smell or taste to the meat that felt slightly off putting. I do enjoy the bowls with grains, greens and a half and half split of chicken and beef. The sauces they top your bowls off are good too. I like the red chili hummus, tzatziki, and garlic sauce. I just WOULDN'T go to this location, especially if it's your first time. I think the food tasted more fresh at the last location I visited. The reviews here are very fitting. I'd definitely just go to a chipotle nearby if you really feel hungry in this area. The cook isn't nearly as great, and the service will make the food taste even less satisfying. This was my first time having Cava and I went inside to order to make sure that I would get all the toppings and proteins I wanted! just like at chipotle, I can never trust to order online, I like to order in person Food: Think of it like a mediterrean healthy version of Chipotle, but more expensive and with healthier ingredients. I got the build your own bowl with a side of pita bread. the protein i got was harissa chicken which was an extra $2. the dips and spreads I got were tzatziki, red pepper hummus and harissa, which I fairly enjoyed with my pita bread when making my little bites. Overall, the food was pretty good and felt super healthy. I do prefer Hummus Way in Santa Ana and they have better toppings, so if you are looking for an amazing alternative, Hummus Way is the way to go! read more

The food is really good! The service sometimes takes a while for them to start serving, but i understand that they need time to restock and clean. It can be a little bit expensive, yet you can tell the food is fresh so I feel it is worth it. I feel like ordering in person is the way to go if you have time to wait in line. I feel like the portions are a little bit bigger when ordering in person. Also, they are less likely to forget anything from your order that way. However, if you check your online order before leaving and they forgot anything, they are quick to fix it and are apologetic. read more

I had one of the worst experiences at this CAVA. The restaurant itself was dirty, with tables that hadn't been cleaned and the overall place feeling very unhygienic. The customer service was even worse. One employee in particular, a white lady, had an extremely rude, dismissive attitude and came across like a total Karen. She seemed to intentionally give the smallest portions possible and acted like every little thing was an inconvenience. What really frustrated me was that she kept saying everything was an extra charge, even for sides that are supposed to be included if you simply ask for them. It felt like she was making up rules depending on the customer. Between the dirty restaurant, terrible attitude, tiny portions, and misleading information about the menu, this was a very disappointing experience. The bummer is these tables are shared with 3 eateries. The line takes awhile, so patience is a must. I feel like the servers were trying their best to move the line through. It starts with choosing either a pre suggested bowl or you can design your own. You can choose your base then add protein and fillings. Don't forget a little drizzle of sauce at the end. Today was Day 1 for this location and I'm so glad I was able to stop in. The energy in there was full of excitement and nerves as they served their first round of meals to guests. Everything went fairly smooth for just being open a matter of hours and aside from the balloons out front and the extra employees and personnel standing around, business went seamlessly. We ordered a build-your-own bowl and a chicken wrap. Both were absolutely delicious and I love all of the customization possibilities with the build-your-own bowl. And of course, we couldn't forget the side of pita. There is PLENTY of parking available right next to them. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Fortunately So Cal weather was doing its thing today and we opted to sit outside. There are umbrellas to shield you from direct sunlight. My only gripe is that there isn't a trash can outside so you have to go back inside to put everything away. I will definitely be back especially since work within walking distance of them. I've ordered delivery from here probably over 4 times and it's been good (or so I think) every time except today because I found a piece of steak?? in my veggie bowl. I don't eat meat and some other animal products for health reasons and this is completely upsetting because I haven't had meat in over 6 years now. I would stay away from this location, their customer service is horrible especially Isaac, he had a very poor demeanor throughout the interaction. He came across as rude, irritated, and uninterested in helping customers. His attitude alone greatly impacted my experience. The portions were noticeably small, and when I politely asked for a little extra, I was met with looks and attitudes that made it seem like the food was coming out of the employees' personal paychecks. Guests should not feel uncomfortable asking for reasonable portions at a restaurant they're paying for. The cashier was the only employee who made any effort to be friendly. Management needs to do a better job training employees on customer service and hospitality. People come to CAVA not only for the food but also for a positive experience. The worst CAVA experience. I like their location in South County better. I was there at 11am, excited to have a CAVA near me. They opened 3 mos ago - took over the Rubios space. I was moderately greated by a gal busy packing a large online order. The only other employee was a blond lady. On the phone. No smiles. They made me wait 5-7 minutes. Then i started placing my order. She gave me so little of the eggplant. The unlimited toppings is not unlimited, she keeps giving me less and less. She defended herself that she has to be able to close the top (smash all my food) or there is an extra charge. Also if you mix bases, extra charge. I got steak. No warning $3.50 up charge, I asked shouldn't it be $12.25? She said steak is premium and extra charge. She is like the sign is right there. I walked over to the sign, it's way below eye level. The menu at the top says "ANY PROTEIN" and UNILIMITED TOPPINGS. I looked at her serious face, and decided nah. I am not going to be forced to pay more than what is advertised. She also did NOT give me my desired amount of toppings. VERY INHOSPITABLE PLACE. Wow CAVA hire some people with smiles, caring attitude and a spirit of hospitality. Morning ruined. First time visit. The food was very good and healthy that's for sure. We walked in and got in a long line that moved fast and we got our food and were sitting down in probably 7-10 minutes. We did have to clean our own table and never saw anyone come out to clean tables or anything. We both had a chicken bowl with lots of extras and the prices are ok compared to other places that serve chicken bowls and don't have nearly the amount of food and extras that we got here. There's not much seating here but we did get a booth but every time the door was opened which was constantly you get an ice cold wind across your table and the store. Service was very polite and fast and did not skimp on portion/protein size. The drink i had was the Cucumber Lime drink was incredible. Honestly how are Cava chains so inconsistent. I was praying this one was going to be good since it's closer to my house than the one in the Hills. Got there an hour before closing and there was a good amount of people eating inside and outside. For some reason it felt like they were already trying to clean up. They already emptied all of the juices... If you want to get out of there early just close the store an hour early then.. Got in line and there were two employees there at the end finishing the bowl. Everyone else is cleaning up. The girl was finishing the bowl and the guy looks at me and says he'll be right there. He's just standing there talking to her and watching her finish making the bowl... He then precedes to walk back past me and starts doing other stuff. Finally finishes up whatever he was doing and comes back. Starts making my bowl but then stops and makes the girl do it. Don't know if he's a manager or something but the service was atrocious. Extremely unprofessional. Seems like a common issue with Cava. They need better people to train their new locations. This was a waste of $20... This was terrible in flavor, the steak was hard to chew, very chewy. (plus cost extra). I should have just went to chipotle for better quality food and cheaper. the only thing that tasted good was the peta bread. rice was hard, my lettuce was brown, they gave me very small portions. nothing was hot, was either like warm or cold. the food looked like it had been sitting out for hours, yet they have like 8 people working the line.. need to have more people making fresher food. Cava usually is a nice place and I enjoy going there and sitting in the clean atmosphere. This time I had my brother go pick up some cava for us. While things were cooked well he clearly asked for the garlic sauce and shug sauce for mine. (He doesn't know which sauce is which because I usually can go order for myself, also HE DOESNT WORK THERE) They lied to him and gave him a red sauce, they lied and said it was shug sauce! I am sensitive to spicy sauces and they put SO MUCH all over it. I do not have a sense of smell, so I gave it a mix since I was willing to try something new, since for some reason the shawarma chicken is gone (mistake since that's one of the best items). My stomach hurts and so does my mouth. There's a CLEAR difference between red and green and even if you're colorblind the sauces have the names written on it!! I don't know if they were having a bad day but that's messed up. It costs so much to buy a fricking bowl and you think it's ok to prank someone? Thanks for the stomach pain that's gunna last a week. Wasted money on food from here. Orange location is terrible!!! Don't go here if you have food sensitivities. I had to look online to find out it was the spicy harissa vinaigrette.
