Our neighbors raved about Pizza Pub so we decided to try them out and have done so a handful of times. Unfortunately every single time since the first time had been a disappointment. First time I ordered pasta fagioli, and it was good. I eat meat and veg and it seemed to lean veg and was white. No meat in it. I also ordered the eggplant rollatini app and it was good, no complaints. Second time we ordered (like, two days later maybe?) I ordered the soup again and it was completely different with tons of smoked bacon in it and was tomato based. Whoever my husband spoke to over the phone denied the soup was different. Garlic knots are disappointing because they're made with granulated garlic instead of actual minced fresh garlic. Anyway, last night we ordered and I ordered the pasta primavera with light marinara and they gave me bland cream sauce instead. Shame on me, but we're done ordering here. read more

The Pizza Pub is a fabulous bar & restaurant . The food is delicious, best pizza, and the menu is huge, many more options than just Italian. Portions are large & the desserts are spectacular. Full super friendly bar reminiscent of "Cheers" where everyone knows your name. Very child friendly, take out can include beer & wine. I am officially done with this place. We used to go there ALL the time for at least 15 years "back in the day." It was comfortable, friendly, decent food and prices. That was years ago when the kids were young. We had a lousy experience with the food about a year ago but figured let's give it another shot for old times' sake. MISTAKE. 1- Ordered a large pie 1/2 meatball and 1/2 plain- What we got was all meatball. 2- Ordered fried calamari for, I believe, $14. It was worth $0 and we threw it in the garbage where it belonged. The calamari was barely cooked and obviously barely warm. A rip off!!! 3- Placed the order on the phone and was told it would be ready at 6. Foolishly, I arrived at 6 and ended up standing around until 6:15 plus. And the dining room had 2-3 tables occupied and maybe 2 people came in after me- meaning they were not very busy (rightfully so). Simply tell me my order would be ready at "whatever" time. All in all there are a plethora of pizza places in Randolph from which to choose and zero reason to get ripped off with lousy calamari and a wrong order. read more

It was a great surprise the experience we had at Pizza Pub. We were looking for a place to have a bite and decided to give a try to Pizza Pub. Honestly, given the reviews, I wasn't expecting much. But, thankfully, I was wrong! We had a great experience from the minute we stepped in. The waitress was super nice, doing a lot of things at the same time (taking orders, drinks, serving food) always with a smile on her face and super fast. My husband and I had a personal pizza each and it was great. The dough was super crispy and delicious. It's well served but depending on how hungry you are, you can share. Stopped here between Denville and Long Valley for a pizza and beer. The Pizza Pub was a welcome surprise! Cozy welcoming bar with full menu, great service and good company. The Country Pizza was a win-- the (well done as requested) crust stood up to the sauteed onions and peppers, thinly sliced sausage and pepperoni, and mushrooms. We returned a couple weeks later and enjoyed Round 2 of the same. Will definitely patronize them going forward! read more

Five months into this pandemic, with still no indoor seating, we've been trying to order from as many different local restaurants as possible. Last night, we ordered from Pizza Pub for the first time. Our dinners were very good. My wife ordered the Veal Milanese Salad and I had the Rigatoni Abruzzi dinner. Both were very tasty and delivered nice and hot! It's been a few years since we ate at the restaurant. When we did, they gave complimentary zeppoles. Was here last night and the food was terrible. We started with the fried ravioli that tasted like they just came out of the freezer. I ordered the baked stuffed shells. The dish came out luke warm and the melted mozz on top was like cutting through plastic. I think my dish was sitting out on a shelf somewhere for a few hours. My friend ordered a chicken dish, I think it was marsala. Well they served it in a bowl and was really hard to eat and the sauce was really dark and unappetizing looking. His side of pasta, that he had to pay extra for was all clumped together in a really thick tomato sauce. It was like eating a blob of glue. I cannot rave enough about this restaurant! My husband and 5-yo twin girls came here today and had such a wonderful experience! We were greeted by Gino, who, btw, is just the NICEST. PERSON. EVER. He provided such prompt and personal service. The food was great! Our pizza was tasty and well received by our girls, two very picky divas. I attended a party yesterday that was catered by The Pizza Pub. The food was wonderful. The service was exceptional. Meh. I was in the neighborhood and wanted to grab a quick bite. Service took forever, I think the guy taking orders and serving may have been the owner (he was also working the bar). I ordered the Tuscan panini and it was ok, nothing to write home about. Although when I started on the second half of my sandwich I ended up putting it down and not eating it because the texture of the chicken was really off. Considering we paid extra to have Door Dash bring the food direct to our location we were surprised the food was ice cold. I know when the Dasher left and I know the Dasher was onsite waiting. Pizza Pub did something that made the food was sit around. I can excuse the food being cold to a certain extent, but the quality was just atrocious. We love this place. I take my 2 young kids there before the lunch crowd. The best waitress Mastisse always takes care of us and is so sweet and nice to the kids. My kids love this pizza and always ask for me to take them here. Also they have ice cream and beer/wine to go in the front. read more

Great place to go for a fabulous casual Italian meal without a fabulous price tag. The owner is friendly, extremely accommodating. You don't want fries with your fish and chips? You can have the sauteed spinach you want instead. Never had a bad meal, but have some fav's there- the fish and chips, the eggplant rollatini, (to die for), and all the soups and sides of sauteed spinach, etc., are awesome, there is actually tons of roasted garlic in there. The fra diavolo is incredible, more seafood than you can eat at once, and it's all good. The zuppa de pesce is my hubby's fav, loves it. He is also really into the eggplant parm, which I also love. And they have whole wheat pasta, so I don't feel so guilty. Not only is the food quality, it is quantity. DH and I always have a lunch or so from our leftovers. DH says we need to order extra dinners as we leave for days we can't/don't want to cook, but no worries. the Pizza Pub allows you to order online and pick up or have it delivered. I do take advantage of this service more than I care to admit to. The garlic knots are awesome, need to steal the recipe. The specials I have tried have always been fabulous, and the kitchen never has an issue with my food issues (allergies & veg). I sometimes have lunch delivered to our home office, and I make special requests. I am every restaurant owners nightmare- allergies, no salt, extra lettuce/tomatoes/peppers/cucumbers on sandwiches/salads. Never an issue, Gino the owner is awesome. Definitely a mom & pop type feel to this restaurant. I ordered a sausage, mushroom, and pepperoni pizza and it was decent - being from the New Jersey/New York area finding that 'to die for' pizza can be hard. We also ordered baked ziti and I personally did not like how it tasted. It was almost a little too salty. The pizza was large enough to share though, perfect for family or friendly outings.
