I usually don't write reviews, but this is probably the best pizza in all Rochester. It's semi-tough find NYC style Pizza within Rochester. But this pizza is the best. This is the reason I stay in New York State when my family tells me we should move down south. Also if you get Pizza go to this location in the city it is much better than they're other locations. I even got it grubhubbed and it was still 10 outta 10 in quality.

Fantastic variety of slices every day!

Nothing fancy. Just thin crust, NY style pizza the way it's meant to be. A large selection of slices, efficient and generally pleasant service and somewhat dated, and therefore authentic, serving and dining areas. I highly recommend stopping in for a slice or two and a hint of real Brooklyn Pizzeria atmosphere. I stop here frequently when I venture into the city.

Yum! Huge selection of slices available during lunch. Garlic pizza with spinach or mushroom and broccoli, red sauce w/ sausage, pepperoni, various veggie mixes and more. They are quite busy during lunch time, but they are ready! I got my slices piping hot in record speed. I'm impressed. Huge selection, fast and delicious. Will be back!

Some friends and I were craving pizza and we decided to take a walk over to the Pizza Stop to get some. Tip: This place is totally worth visiting, but I'd suggest being careful when walking here after dark. The four of us had trouble agreeing on toppings for a whole pie; we eventually decided to go with a cheese pizza, and then a couple of extra slices with different toppings so that everyone would end up getting what they wanted. The cheese they use on the pizza here is excellent, the dough is tasty and both the sausage and pepperoni are top-quality. We were all very happy with our choices, and didn't have any leftovers when we were done. Highly recommended!

Best 'za in town! You can't go wrong with the thin or thick crust. I love this place! Now, if only they stayed open longer and later.

But it turned out to be a fabulous place! Absolutely excellent pizza, well crafted, authentic crust and creative ingredients. BUT I specifically ordered the pizza without hot honey, and it was also supposed to have pineapple on it. When I got home , I realized the pineapple was missing and the pizza had hot honey on it anyway. I immediately called THREE times to try to get it sorted out. Every single time, I got an automated message saying they were going to transfer me to someone, and then... no one ever answered. ‍ That's incredibly frustrating, especially when you're calling right after you discover there's a problem with your order. The pizza itself was seriously delicious, but the customer service was disappointing. I really hope they improve their phone service because I'd actually like to order from here again!

We were quoted about a 40-minute wait for a table, but told bar seating might open up sooner (around 30 minutes). They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. Both dishes were incredibly delicious - flavorful and well-balanced. Just be prepared for a wait (and maybe stay nearby instead of wandering off), but once you're in, it's a great experience!

It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.

Louis was very helpful, explaining the menu and specials since it was my first visit. I decided to try the Detroit-style white top with Mike's honey drizzle and a pineapple Jarritos. While waiting, I sat on a few chairs outside in front of the garage. It took about 15 minutes, and my pizza was piping hot. My ricotta melted due to the steam, but it was still very good! The portion was generous, I could only finish one slice and took the rest to go. It's not a sit-down restaurant, it's perfect to take to-go; however, there is a table that you could stand and eat at, if you needed to. The decor was also nice and bright, with a unique twist with decor. Louis also mentioned they source most ingredients locally, which is noticeable in the freshness of every bite. He was kind enough to offer me a New York-style cheese slice, which was also delicious! While a little pricey, the quality justifies the price. I can't wait to return! If you're in the area, definitely check them out!
