So, so, so good. I came here while staying in the area and looking for a Thai restaurant. The location is a bit unusual since it's somewhat secluded, but the food is amazing. I ordered the pad Thai and drunken noodles oh my, they were so good. A bit spicy, but I love spice, so it was perfect for me. There are several other items on the menu as well. I also got fried tofu (not pictured), which was excellent too. Service was quick, and we received our food right away. I would definitely come back again, possibly with my colleagues.

THAI TEST KITCHEN @ SORRENTO VALLEY I was looking for a Thai restaurant near Sorrento Valley, and this place popped up with really high reviews, so we decided to check it out. It's literally inside a corporate office building, super secluded, and definitely feels like it mainly caters to people working in the offices nearby. If you come here, just know it's more of a small corporate plaza vibe. Parking was very limited, and we were honestly a little nervous about getting towed since it's mostly corporate parking, but we parked right out front and it ended up being fine. The restaurant itself is very small, with only a few tables. There weren't many people dining in, which makes sense because it seems like most customers are office workers grabbing takeout and heading back to work. Despite that, the staff were extremely friendly, which made the experience really pleasant. We ordered the crispy pork dish, and it was incredible, super flavorful and definitely the highlight of the meal. The food overall was really good. It is on the pricier side for Thai food (around $15-$20 per entrée), but the quality matched the price. One thing to note: the bathroom is located outside of the restaurant. The staff will explain how to get there, but it's a bit of a walk and kind of tucked away in the corporate area. Overall, this place was solid, and I'm really glad we came. If you're in the Sorrento Valley area and craving Thai food, I'd definitely stop by.

A regular workday lunch option, despite being on the pricey side for the portions. We recommend the sausage fried rice, panang curry, stir fry options (e.g., kra pow, eggplant), not necessarily the pad thai. Our go-to protein is the fried pork, though one receives 4 bite-size pieces for the $4 up-charge :( Minor thing, their spiciness level is inconsistent - the max 10 can be underwhelming on some days. Order online prior to pickup as they can get backed up on orders. Parking and seating have been available whenever we have gone here, even while nestled in the business park. Friendly staff.

Lots of parking for the restaurant but seating can be limited. Great for a quick lunch if you work in the area. Spice levels are definitely on point. Great Thai option in sorrento valley. Service is fast casual, you order at the cashier and find a seat with your number and they will bring your food to you. Casual sit down restaurant. Can be pretty busy on the weekdays during peak lunch hours.

There's a new dish! I don't know how long it'll stay on the menu so you guys should run to the restaurant and try it! Egg noodle with BBQ pork (thai style). Thai BBQ pork is not as sweet as the chinese version. This one tasted more like honey roasted BBQ pork and it's still not as sweet. I have not had this type of BBQ pork in more than 20 years! So good. The noodle came with BBQ pork, some fish balls, chicharron, garlic oil, green onions and cilantro. The flavor is on the mild side with a tiny bit of sweetness (thai people love to put sugar in their food. it's actually good as long as you don't use too much sugar). It also came with a little bowl of soup since in Thailand you typically can order the dry or soup version. And the dry version would come with soup on the side. The entire dish is exactly as you'd get from food carts around Bangkok. I grew up eating this type of noodle and it really took me home. If you have visited Thailand and had this dish before, RUN!! You don't want to miss it!

I had a great experience here. I came here on a Thursday afternoon and it was quite slow considering it was a workday. It's located in a huge corporate office building complex, which is why I rated it only 4 stars. It's not very walkable to anything nearby but it is a good spot especially if you're working there. Other than the location, there are many menu options to chose from. Pad see ew is one of my favorite dishes in terms of Thai cuisine and they did it perfectly. It wasn't overly oily and the flavor was amazing. I would recommend if you like this dish or anything similar. The inside of the restaurant was tastefully decorated and I liked the vibe. It was clean and we were welcomed upon walking in. The food came fast and they had lots of seating! Overall, I had a great experience and would come back if I'm ever in the area!

Cute little thai shop with tropical decor, came on a Monday off for some lunch. I would agree with the other reviews that they do take a while to make your dish. I believe my group of 3 got our food after 30 minutes of waiting.. so I wish it could've been more speedy. The worker was really nice though and I liked how they have a self-serve water station for the wait. I got a crispy pork belly with green beans and basil. It was crispy but not dry. Green beans were cooked well and had a nice coat and snap to it. The flavors were really yummy, simple but fulfilling, I just wish portions were bigger for the price because it is on the pricier side for how much you get. I got a spice level of 3 and it was a mild spice, perfect for me. (4/5) My bf got a pad thai with a 4 spice level and the spice jump was bigger than anticipated. Pad thai was flavorful as well, I would just say the same thing about price compared to smaller portions. It was good but nothing crazy (3.5/5). Overall, I would try other dishes from here but wish it were more reasonably priced and better cook time.

Solid Thai spot! You go up to the register and order and they'll bring it to your table. The decor here is cute and old school; the service was quick and friendly, and the food was good. I wasn't blown away by anything but the pad Thai and egg drop soup were pretty good! The Thai tea wasn't my favorite, I think it could've been a little creamier but overall not bad. Would definitely come back to try some of their other dishes!

Still one of the best Thai food in the area. We usually Order Online, and the food is ready in about 20-30 minutes. Pad Thai with chicken is our go-to. Good amount of chicken. Spice level of 3 is perfect. Entire entree is tasty. I love the Drunken Noodle with beef. Oh so good. Spice level 5 for me. Yellow curry is delicious too. This dish fill you up, especially with the amount of rice. Super cute decor. Plenty of tables inside. Want a super nice view of the canyon and ocean? Go to the west-side of the parking lot and eat your food there. It's beautiful.

Came as a party of 2 on a Friday at 1:30 PM. There was no wait. Parking: Convenient and stress-free. There are several parking lots nearby, so finding a spot is easy. Ambience: A smaller, quiet restaurant perfect for casual work lunches, as it's surrounded by local businesses. The atmosphere is simple but functional. Service: Quick, friendly, and efficient, even during busy hours. The staff keeps things moving smoothly. Food: Portions on the smaller side for the price. Gra Pow Kai - 7.5/10: A decent dish featuring minced chicken, onions, serrano peppers, and basil leaves served with jasmine rice. While the flavors were good, it didn't stand out as anything extraordinary. Spaghetti Kee Mao - 6/10: Unfortunately underwhelming. The dish lacked bold flavors and came across as bland. Summary: Thai Test Kitchen offers a wide-ranging menu that I'd be happy to explore further. With cute decor and at an accessible location, it's worth another visit to try their other dishes.

Came with my coworkers at lunch on a Tuesday and this place was pretty busy! I ordered the Khao man gai and I was happily impressed. Always looking for some good hainan chicken and this satisfied that craving. The spicy sauce is actually super tasty, be warned it does get quite spicy! Their portions are a little small for the price, but food was really good. Service was pretty quick considering they were busy!

Such a cute little hidden spot that I highly recommend! I met one of the owners who was so sweet and told us how her and her husband started the restuarant. She told me about the decorations of the restaurant, which is all from her son, who is famous on TikTok @koysun! Should totally check out! Pad Thai: It's sweet and savory! I love the crushed nuts on my pad thai. My favorite! I'd say a generous and flavorful portion. There is yummy cilantro and green onion on it. Pad See Ew: Savory and love the little saltiness from the soy sauce. Can taste a little sweetness. If you're craving thai food and want to support a small business please look into this restaurant!

This is such a cute little place hidden away in an industrial plaza area! I would never have stumbled upon this place so I'm glad I found it on maps by chance! They have plenty of seating inside and some seating outside as well. They have so many delicious looking dishes on the menu. They are also accommodating for vegan options! I got the drunken noodles and it was so amazing! I can't believe this place is tucked away, that's such a disservice to everyone. People need to know about this place. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to come back to try more things here.

Khau mun Gai - not on their menu. 5/5 !

The girls in front of us said it was their second time there that week and recommended the Biscoff matcha, so of course I had to try it. The shop itself is beautiful. While you're waiting in line, you can stare at all the delicious-looking cakes in the glass case, and the back room is gorgeous--open and bright with tons of plants and natural light. My matcha was good and I really liked how creamy it was without feeling too heavy. The matcha itself was a little boring and didn't have a ton of flavor, but the Biscoff was light and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. My husband enjoyed his latte but said afterward that he wished he had tried the pistachio instead. I'd definitely like to come back on a weekday when it's hopefully a little less busy and crowded. I would say the ambiance was the best thing out of our experience. Next time we're both going pistachio--matcha for me and latte for him!
