Lots of parking for the restaurant but seating can be limited. Great for a quick lunch if you work in the area. Spice levels are definitely on point. Great Thai option in sorrento valley. Service is fast casual, you order at the cashier and find a seat with your number and they will bring your food to you. Casual sit down restaurant. Can be pretty busy on the weekdays during peak lunch hours.

There's a new dish! I don't know how long it'll stay on the menu so you guys should run to the restaurant and try it! Egg noodle with BBQ pork (thai style). Thai BBQ pork is not as sweet as the chinese version. This one tasted more like honey roasted BBQ pork and it's still not as sweet. I have not had this type of BBQ pork in more than 20 years! So good. The noodle came with BBQ pork, some fish balls, chicharron, garlic oil, green onions and cilantro. The flavor is on the mild side with a tiny bit of sweetness (thai people love to put sugar in their food. it's actually good as long as you don't use too much sugar). It also came with a little bowl of soup since in Thailand you typically can order the dry or soup version. And the dry version would come with soup on the side. The entire dish is exactly as you'd get from food carts around Bangkok. I grew up eating this type of noodle and it really took me home. If you have visited Thailand and had this dish before, RUN!! You don't want to miss it!

I had a great experience here. I came here on a Thursday afternoon and it was quite slow considering it was a workday. It's located in a huge corporate office building complex, which is why I rated it only 4 stars. It's not very walkable to anything nearby but it is a good spot especially if you're working there. Other than the location, there are many menu options to chose from. Pad see ew is one of my favorite dishes in terms of Thai cuisine and they did it perfectly. It wasn't overly oily and the flavor was amazing. I would recommend if you like this dish or anything similar. The inside of the restaurant was tastefully decorated and I liked the vibe. It was clean and we were welcomed upon walking in. The food came fast and they had lots of seating! Overall, I had a great experience and would come back if I'm ever in the area!

Nestled in an office park well off the beaten path, this Sorrento Valley gem is a wondeful place to sit down and eat. Don't let the photos fool you. I came here on a Friday around 2pm and the office park was dead, so this place only had a couple of diners. I had the Singapore Noodles, my wife had the Pad Thai. Both plates were excellent! Best Singapore Noodles I've had. The Pad Thai was delicious as well, but my wife kept taking from my plate. In fairness, Pad Thai is a common dish in Thai restaurants. Get the Singapore Noodles, you won't regret it.

Cute little thai shop with tropical decor, came on a Monday off for some lunch. I would agree with the other reviews that they do take a while to make your dish. I believe my group of 3 got our food after 30 minutes of waiting.. so I wish it could've been more speedy. The worker was really nice though and I liked how they have a self-serve water station for the wait. I got a crispy pork belly with green beans and basil. It was crispy but not dry. Green beans were cooked well and had a nice coat and snap to it. The flavors were really yummy, simple but fulfilling, I just wish portions were bigger for the price because it is on the pricier side for how much you get. I got a spice level of 3 and it was a mild spice, perfect for me. (4/5) My bf got a pad thai with a 4 spice level and the spice jump was bigger than anticipated. Pad thai was flavorful as well, I would just say the same thing about price compared to smaller portions. It was good but nothing crazy (3.5/5). Overall, I would try other dishes from here but wish it were more reasonably priced and better cook time.

Solid Thai spot! You go up to the register and order and they'll bring it to your table. The decor here is cute and old school; the service was quick and friendly, and the food was good. I wasn't blown away by anything but the pad Thai and egg drop soup were pretty good! The Thai tea wasn't my favorite, I think it could've been a little creamier but overall not bad. Would definitely come back to try some of their other dishes!

Still one of the best Thai food in the area. We usually Order Online, and the food is ready in about 20-30 minutes. Pad Thai with chicken is our go-to. Good amount of chicken. Spice level of 3 is perfect. Entire entree is tasty. I love the Drunken Noodle with beef. Oh so good. Spice level 5 for me. Yellow curry is delicious too. This dish fill you up, especially with the amount of rice. Super cute decor. Plenty of tables inside. Want a super nice view of the canyon and ocean? Go to the west-side of the parking lot and eat your food there. It's beautiful.

Came as a party of 2 on a Friday at 1:30 PM. There was no wait. Parking: Convenient and stress-free. There are several parking lots nearby, so finding a spot is easy. Ambience: A smaller, quiet restaurant perfect for casual work lunches, as it's surrounded by local businesses. The atmosphere is simple but functional. Service: Quick, friendly, and efficient, even during busy hours. The staff keeps things moving smoothly. Food: Portions on the smaller side for the price. Gra Pow Kai - 7.5/10: A decent dish featuring minced chicken, onions, serrano peppers, and basil leaves served with jasmine rice. While the flavors were good, it didn't stand out as anything extraordinary. Spaghetti Kee Mao - 6/10: Unfortunately underwhelming. The dish lacked bold flavors and came across as bland. Summary: Thai Test Kitchen offers a wide-ranging menu that I'd be happy to explore further. With cute decor and at an accessible location, it's worth another visit to try their other dishes.

Came with my coworkers at lunch on a Tuesday and this place was pretty busy! I ordered the Khao man gai and I was happily impressed. Always looking for some good hainan chicken and this satisfied that craving. The spicy sauce is actually super tasty, be warned it does get quite spicy! Their portions are a little small for the price, but food was really good. Service was pretty quick considering they were busy!

Such a cute little hidden spot that I highly recommend! I met one of the owners who was so sweet and told us how her and her husband started the restuarant. She told me about the decorations of the restaurant, which is all from her son, who is famous on TikTok @koysun! Should totally check out! Pad Thai: It's sweet and savory! I love the crushed nuts on my pad thai. My favorite! I'd say a generous and flavorful portion. There is yummy cilantro and green onion on it. Pad See Ew: Savory and love the little saltiness from the soy sauce. Can taste a little sweetness. If you're craving thai food and want to support a small business please look into this restaurant!

This is such a cute little place hidden away in an industrial plaza area! I would never have stumbled upon this place so I'm glad I found it on maps by chance! They have plenty of seating inside and some seating outside as well. They have so many delicious looking dishes on the menu. They are also accommodating for vegan options! I got the drunken noodles and it was so amazing! I can't believe this place is tucked away, that's such a disservice to everyone. People need to know about this place. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to come back to try more things here.

Khau mun Gai - not on their menu. 5/5 !

This place is my once a week go-to lunch now. The service is above and beyond. My staples - Papas noodles - I think this an unassuming star of the menu especially because i think it's a persona recipel to the owners family and I haven't seen anything like it on any menu. Basil Eggplant - just excellent! Khau mun gai - perfect if you're craving that chicken and rice. My original review has info on this and search for chicken and rice after a trip to a Singapore made me stumble on this gem!

Hidden gem in a business park in Sorrento Valley Thai Test Kitchen is wonderful. You can smell all the tasty dishes as soon as you walk in the door. The menu is accommodating for vegan and gluten free diets as well. The portion sizes and prices are very good. Just wish it was open a little later to be able to bring friends for dinner after work!

We also ordered the garlic green beans, but they came out so late that we were already completely full from the noodles, so we took them to go. Beef noodle soup - excellent flavor overall, including a strong broth and a nice, soft texture to the noodles. Out of the countless Chinese restaurants I've visited for beef noodle soup, this makes its way into the top three. 5/5 Lamb skewers - wayyyyy too dry. This is certainly not their specialty, and asking for extra cumin to sprinkle on the lamb did not redeem the firmness. I struggled to slide the meat off the skewer and ended up just eating it while still on the stick. 1.5/5 Fish fillet - so good. Easy to eat texture-wise. Caution -- a bit saltier than it looks. The bell peppers in particular were seasoned spectacularly. 4.5/5 Dry fried green beans - a delicious option for vegetables to add to the table. Most people will enjoy this one in my opinion. A bit more crunch than I expected, which is not a bad thing. 4/5 Double cooked pork - I've never seen it cooked this way, and am not a fan. I'm used to a more oily version of this dish. It contained a bunch of dried and crunchy... yams? Potatoes? Overall, the dish was mainly crunch with no flavor, and contained a relatively small amount of pork. 1/5

Definitely more comfort-focused than trendy, and that's part of the appeal. FOOD / DRINKS Spicy Miso Noodle Soup (Recommend) This was a solid bowl. You're getting a spicy miso broth with slow-cooked pork belly, bok choy, carrots, and noodles (ramen or udon)--so it hits that comforting, savory lane right away. At first, she said the order only could be done on 1 bill. And then later she compromised with 2 bills, 5 people per table. That was nice of her! I just had 2 coffees before entering so I decided to skip ordering Thai tea. But they had a large drink menu, of fruit teas and more. My friend had the lychee tea which was very large and looked super refreshing! They also came by often to top off our waters which was nice. To eat, I ordered the $16.99~, Cashew Chicken Stir Fry with White Rice. It came with onion, green onion, carrots, zucchini, bell pepper, and cashews. The carrots were beautifully cut, but a little too crunchy for me to properly enjoy in the stir fry. Everything else was delicious! I think this could definitely be shared between 2-3 people. It reminded me a little of chicken satay~ it smelled and looked incredible. The restaurant used thin rice noodles, but it didn't clump excessively compared to other restaurants. The prices are what you'd typically see at a Pan-Asian restaurant, a few dollars more than what you'd want to spend. But these kinds of restaurants, in my opinion, are for enjoying with others.
