I wish the rake was smaller or at least based upon a percentage of pot- like in Reno and Las Vegas - with a maximum rake

The casino has improved a lot over the years. They added a hotel, and they brought the poker room back, which I appreciated. It's running 7 tables, mostly 1/2 and 1/3. Nice touch: even though the casino is 21+, they let 18+ players into the poker room. You just get wrist-banded at security and you're good to go. Great way for younger players to get some real table time. Most dealers were great, but a few who were still learning and a few who commented on player tendencies and play styles to openly during the game, but it's an improvement from their previous set up years ago. The gaming floor is big, the staff is friendly across the board, and the pool is average. Not bad, not amazing, just fine. What pushes this over the top is the family factor. I can take the kids to Kids Quest, or head to the Apex Lounge for bowling and go-karts. We even celebrated a birthday here and it was a great time. Being able to handle gaming for me and real fun for the kids under one roof is what makes it a 5-star trip. Highly recommend.

Stairs or Elevators to access the casino; direct walkway on a certain garage level. There were also parking lots too for each tower. This review is mainly for the concert/entertainment Event Center venue at Cache Creek Casino Resort. Doors open one hour before showtime and close one hour after show starts; only re-entry is allowed after doors close. To attend any show there, you must be 21+. No photography or recording of any kind is permitted during the show (this was included in a Know Before You Go e-mail but NOT announced right before showtime). No outside food or drink (only the Event Center bar), no weapons. Metal detector security check for all, bag check only if they ask. Box office opens 4 hours before showtime. Mom's Mother's Day gift was tickets to see Filipina vocalist Morissette Amon's June 13th sold-out one night only performance of her Ember Tour. From the event description: Morissette is a Filipino singer and songwriter nicknamed in the press "Asia's Phoenix". She gained notice as a runner-up in TV5's Star Factor at age 14 and made her theatrical debut in 2012 as Mitchie Torres in Repertory Philippines' adaptation of Disney's Camp Rock. She received wider notice as a semi-finalist in the first season of ABS-CBN's The Voice of the Philippines in 2013. In 2015, Morissette released her self-titled debut album. It was certified Platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry. The accolades for Morissette's music and performances have included two Awit Awards, an Aliw Award, six PMPC Star Awards for Music, and 38 Wish 107.5 Music Awards, the most such awards of any artist. With ticket purchase, they did provide an optional promo code for 15% off a room reservation valid only for the night of the event if you were interested in staying over. Tickets were non-refundable and managed through an Etix account. Delivery of tickets wasn't available until 5 days before the event, and could be printed or added to phone's digital wallets. From the parking garage elevator, you did have to walk through the gaming area and past the eateries to get to the Event Center. Outside the security checkpoint, the closest restroom that I saw/used only had 2 stalls. Once you get past the security, then the Event Center and ballrooms have their own bathrooms. Ushers were good showing you to your section/row/seats. These were metal cushioned interlocking chairs, no armrests, seat number labeled on top. We were in SEC 5, Row BB, Seats 61 and 62. This wasn't bad at all to see the stage, plus they had the big screens on either side too, although unless you're in a group, unfortunately you can't choose your neighbors. 2-hour show, no intermission, one artist outfit change, acoustics were alright, special effects and lighting were cool. As I mentioned before, policy says no photography or recording but even though we got there when doors opened at 7pm, there was no general announcement/reminder before the show actually started. So, for the opening Tagalog song, many, many folks were recording video. The ushers and security swooped in, pointing and making big "X's" with their arms to get people to stop. At one point, security escorted Morissette down/through the audience aisles during a song and then fans were again taking photos and video and selfies as she passed by. I wish they would at least allow maybe the encore song or something, especially in this modern/social day and age, or a designated photo op. It was great to catch Morissette live for an unforgettable night of powerhouse vocals and pure emotion! She did maybe 4 English songs, a couple Bisaya songs, and the rest were Tagalog. Her 15 years in the industry were well-represented and songs ranged from romantic ballads like Akin Ka Na Lang and Gusto Ko Nang Bumitaw to Secret Love Song, Defying Gravity, I'll Be There, and Rise Up. Jo Koy is also coming August 21-22, but those are also sold out!

It's crazy. This casino resort is too far out of the way for any drivers to take advantage of taking on picking up passengers. There seems to be a network of making us wait until it's too far for any kind of respite. It's criminal! Uber keeps moving our pickup time and now it's after 2am and can't even get a drink to help smooth out our endless wait times! Stay away unless you're ready to stay sober enough to drive out of here safely.

They've also opened a new gaming section that is smaller and tucked away from the main casino floor. I liked having the option to play in a quieter area away from the larger crowds. The casino itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a good variety of games. The bar also had a great selection of drinks. I also noticed they're working on opening a hotel, which is an exciting addition. It will be nice to have the option to stay on-site once it's completed. I don't visit casinos very often, but this is one of the few that I genuinely enjoy. It's clean, modern, and has a nice atmosphere. I had a great experience and would definitely come back to see how everything comes together once the hotel opens.

I could not win a single hand. I won 2 hands in total which was an 88 split and another hand where dealer busted. Other than that I lost every single hand. Even the dealer told me, "I didn't even give you a chance." Yeah that's how you don't get a tip either. (Nahh I would have if I won). Crazy crazy blackjack experience. I've never encountered anything like it. I cut the deck, and 2 others did too. It didn't matter. Luck was on the dealer's side tonight. So how would I rate my experience for my 2nd time here since they first opened? A pretty one and I probably won't come back

My mother in law loves Colusa Casino as it's super close to her home, so when we go it's usually with her. Colusa is a clean casino. With food and games it has all the things you need to have a fun time. We came on a Sunday to try their brunch buffet which runs from 10-2pm. It was a pretty good deal. $30 and a full spread. Nothing spectacular like made to order omelettes or waffles and pancakes. But there are servers handing out potatoes, French toast, bacon, sausage, eggs and even chilaquiles (which was my favorite). Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and said we'd definitely do it again. We often come here for the birthday bingo. The crowd is usually large for it. I'm talking 300 or so people all vying for a pot of $500 to $1000 each round. This lasts for a couple hours. Tons of machines, a few card tables and a nice bar for sports watching. Bathrooms are always super clean. While writing this review I'm realizing how awesome the experience is for the size of the place. It's well run. Machine's are top notch and the crowd is very lively yet not too crazy.
