The reality of this hotel is that it is crawling with prostitutes unlike any hotel I've ever stayed in worldwide. Its shocking. It's a virtual brothel and the fact that the hotel allows such blatant illegal activities is shocking. If you are into that kind of scene then maybe you'll like it. It's not for me though.

I also stayed here a few years ago while going through a breakup and had a pretty solid stay then as well. One of the biggest positives is the location. It's in a great area as far as accessibility to the city, and there are plenty of places within walking distance. I was even able to walk to a pub that was open late and had some of the best mozzarella sticks right around the corner. I saw some reviews mentioning concerns about the area and people hanging around the hotel, but I personally didn't experience any of that during either of my stays. The main front doors were closed for most of my recent visit, possibly for security, so guests used the side entrance. There were always employees there monitoring that entrance, which I appreciated. The rooms are spacious, and I really like how some of the floors have little study and lounge areas that give the hotel a nice aesthetic. My only real complaint was a leak my mom had reported that was never addressed. It caused a dripping sound throughout the night, but thankfully we were able to close the door and tune it out. I would definitely stay here again. I'm not sure whether they normally offer free breakfast since breakfast was included with the conference, but if they don't, that would be a nice addition. I love the mirrors in the rooms but also the light near the front of our room was on a consistent dim setting like the bulb was about to blow

I was offered the chance to change rooms, which I declined. I was then told that I would receive 10,000 Bonvoy points, which I am still trying to collect. On my last day I was panhandled while sitting in the lobby. There is no prohibition from anyone walking into the hotel from the street. The area immediately around the hotel is a little depressing; very dark, and a lot of homeless people. Watch out for the Waymos! I had a great view from the 18th floor, and food service was consistently excellent. I had no problem catching an Uber when it was time to go to the airport. A very long wait (half an hour) to check in. Most of the staff was very pleasant and hospitable, if not always knowledgeable. I stayed at the hotel for NAMICon, which was a great experience. However, I was promised a discounted rate (approximately $250 a night), which wasn't really a discount. I only received housekeeping service one day while I was there (for four days). The Marquis is definitely showing its age. I wasn't able to take the elevator to floors other than my own, but I COULD take the stairs. A pretty easy security work-around. I didn't try the pool, although it looked inviting. The fitness room was great, and very popular at 5:45 in the morning. This is the largest hotel in the state of Georgia, and I kept getting lost. I enjoyed my room: great bed, lots of space to store my clothes, and a nice table for working and eating.

The security guard tried searching and calling out for concierge, but couldn't find anyone. Several minutes later, someone finally came out, and each person in front of me took a while, as their cards didn't work or they were arguing amongst each other over how many rooms they were supposed to have. It took 35 minutes after arrival for me to check in. That is unacceptable at peak check-in hour. Again, 6pm, not 2am. However, I did not book the Connally for luxury. I booked it purely as a place to sleep for two nights, and spent very little of the day there. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the complimentary breakfast was...middling, but at least it existed. I expected a no-frills experience and got one. Note that proximity to the tracks means you will hear a few freight trains at night too. Not constant, but I did get woken up once each night from it. The surrounding area was all under construction, so I couldn't get a firm gauge of how safe it normally feels. Wouldn't stay here again, but it wasn't unsalvageable.

As a woman traveling alone (this was a conference hotel) I in no way felt safe to walk around outside the hotel. It was loud all night with police sirens, a train, very loud people, and I'm pretty sure I heard a fight on the street. A local friend was really concerned when they dropped me off and saw where I was booked for the conference. My hotel room was not great. I had hopes when I walked in because the layout was kind of cute. The shower struggled for heat and water pressure. The room was either freezing or hot and humid. The pillows, though plentiful, were bad. My neck is sore after a few days sleeping on them. I feel like it isn't fair to rate breakfast as bad because I know the hotel was booked solid for the conference, but they ran out of things, or were just not quick about refilling them. I grabbed a Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich which was better than nothing. I really hate leaving bad reviews, but I think it's important for people, especially women traveling alone, to know the information. Again, the staff were so friendly, but I would never stay here again.

The Pros: Easy Check-in: The gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant and made the arrival process seamless. Convenient Location: While the walk to the local pub involved seeing "a few characters," it's exactly what you'd expect for this part of downtown. I ended up using the room primarily for sleep and walked over to the neighboring Hyatt for meals and entertainment. Value: It delivered exactly what was expected for the price point. The Cons (Why it fell short of 5 stars for a budget hotel) Room Condition: There was quite a bit of wear and tear in the room, particularly the bathroom door, which is in need of a significant repair. Light Control: The room didn't get very dark at night; better, thicker curtains would make a big difference. Noise/Housekeeping: The most frustrating part of the stay was the housekeeping staff. Every morning, the shouting in the halls about checkout times was quite disruptive. Providing "Do Not Disturb" signs for the doors would go a long way in improving the guest experience. Overall, if you are looking for a straightforward, affordable place to rest your head downtown, this does the job--just don't expect a quiet, luxury experience.

This stay was by far the worst experience I've ever had. I checked in normally, but from 4:30 AM until after 10 AM there was extremely loud construction directly near my room -- constant sawing, sledgehammering, and floorboards literally moving up and down. It was impossible to sleep. When I called the front desk to complain, instead of addressing the issue, the staff immediately became confrontational. They told me that if I checked out at 11:01 AM, they would charge me for a full additional day and hold my $50 deposit. I had already called multiple times the day before to request a late checkout and was told it was fine. When I tried to leave, they threatened to tow my car. I was calm the entire time and was not yelling or causing any disturbance. I asked for a printed receipt on my way out (as a long-time customer) and was denied. I even offered to show them recordings of the construction noise, but they refused to look. Corporate later told me I had to deal directly with the property, which was completely unhelpful. This was the most aggressive and unprofessional treatment I've ever received at any Motel 6. I will not be staying at this location again.

The rooms definitely need a refresh, mine had cracks on the glass near the shower and the paint on the bathroom door was worn away. The decor has personality without trying too hard. My room was on the smaller side, but it was very well designed. Everything felt intentional, clean, and put together. And the bed? Super comfy. I slept good-good. I also loved that they have a restaurant on site makes it convenient when you don't feel like leaving the hotel. The only downside for me was the parking situation. It wasn't terrible, just not as smooth as I would've liked. Overall though? I'd definitely come back. It's a cute, stylish spot right in the city.

Even though we were early they had rooms available for us to check into. Being here for a conference they had a room block set aside. With a room block, you would think that when we checked in, we would all be kind of in the same area. For the four of us that were here early, that was not the case, everyone in our party, but me, were placed in the main tower. Rooms with balconies, decent views, straight shot to the conference area. Me, I got the International Tower, a walk from everything in the hotel. Yes, it kind of connects to the conference portion of the hotel, but it is a hefty walk through corridors that aren't always free of people. Get to my room and I do a quick onceover, no balcony like my reservation confirmation stated. Wouldn't have mattered anyway, I could barely get to the window to close the curtains for sleeping. The awkward couch was awkwardly in front of the window. Felt like this might have been put there as an afterthought. As for the rest of the onceover, I noticed a few more things. The drawers in the dresser were iffy. One was visibly broken, but surprisingly the one that actually worked well on the track. The other drawers were not as easy to pull out. The outlet in the desk area, did not work in the least. I had to reach the plug to the wall. The fridge, not the biggest. The bathroom, water pressure wasn't great. Also, regulating the water temperature was like being a sorcerer. There would be days that it would be fine. There would be days where you would have to put the temp all the way up to hot to get decent temp. Then, there are days that you would have to have it completely cold and still be scalded. Don't get me started about changing between tub and shower. The wall button does not really work much. Now, for the conference portion. They were absolutely amazing. They took care of everything. The rooms were well maintained and readily usable. I honestly could not complain too much about this. But there are a few complaints, but they should not overshadow the service we received. Where we had our information desk for our conference we were positioned very close to where there garage was. This wouldn't have been too bad, but the one door to exit rarely stayed closed. Constantly letting in exhaust fumes from the garage area. Then there was the bat that was flying around the one area we had in use. And, let's just say that the unhoused can and do make their way into the hotel and hide in places that aren't always watched. Some of them do unsavory things. There was something about this hotel too that made me go a little wacky. Not crazy, but this building messed with my ears to the point where I could not hear anything for a good part of a day. I'm not sure if it were allergies, or the mixture of fumes and the way the elevators really flew up and down. I could only get my hearing back by taking a cocktail of over-the-counter medications. After being here for over a week, I was ready to head out. I actually came to love the fact I was in the opposite tower. It gave me time to explore how to traverse this hotel without going through the lobby. It also gave me solitude after long days making sure the conference ran correctly. The amenities were kind of cool, the pool area was a nice oasis. Then to find the hidden smoke sections were a godsend, another oasis unto their own. Overall, I could overlook the room not being up to standard, because this became a home away from home.
