Tomato and burrata/mozarella, and prosciutto and melon. Delicious. 10/10. Prawns: so good, so flavorful, and I typically am not a shrimp/prawn girl. Skirt Steak: this was such a juicy and moist (sorry) steak. I don't like chimmichurri (cannot spell that omg) but it was good! The fries were also a winner. Moroccan Hen: this felt like a cookout bbq to be honest but in the best way. It's super flavorful, very smoky, and SO juicy. It should've been a seamless experience but we had several friends waiting on their food while others were halfway through. The food quality itself was hit or miss. The pork belly app was delicious! Crispy and tender. But the octopus was overly chewy and weird. We had 2 dishes with it and both were cooked like that, it wasn't good. The lobster poutine was delicious and went quick. Paella was okay - the shellfish was overcooked and seemingly dried up. Drinks were good and staff was friendly. Overall, there are a lot of kinks to work out. I inquired about hosting a dinner and one of the owners, Matt, got back to me within a day. From there, the planning felt effortless. He answered all my questions, stayed in communication, and really helped bring the whole vision together. We had close to 30 people for the dinner in one of their private dining areas, and when I say the staff was impeccable... they were ON IT. My friend had no idea where she was going, so this was a full surprise. Once we gave the staff the green light, they were ready and immediately started accommodating everyone. Everything just flowed from there. We did family-style appetizers, which I loved because everyone got to try a little bit of everything. Everything was flavorful and came out at the perfect pace. For my entrée, I had the salmon and it was so good. And listen... I hosted the whole thing, ate there that night, AND still had leftovers to take home. That's always a win. They were also super accommodating leading up to the event. I was able to drop off the cake and cake pops the evening before, and I was even able to decorate the private dining area, which made everything feel really personal. What could have easily been a stressful experience ended up feeling seamless. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful. The private dining area worked perfectly for our group, and they even have an upstairs outdoor area as well as a downstairs outdoor space, which I didn't get to experience this time but definitely want to the next time I go back. Apparently he also had a rep for being rude and nasty. I will never eat there again. You have a kitchen with seafood and meats and have no food handling controls?
