(May mama Coco rest in peace) The cocktails were solid overall, and I was happy to see a couple of mezcal options on the menu. That said, the drinks are definitely on the pricier side. After tax and tip, each cocktail came out to around $20-$30. Still, it's a fun spot to check out, especially if you're already visiting Century Grand and want to experience one of their rotating themes.

Not many restaurants give you an emotional rush, bare with me, this is embarrassing... I just broke up with my girlfriend, and wasn't feeling the greatest as you can imagine, so my friend, business partner, and hetero-life-mate took me out for dinner and drinks. Little did I know I would meet Mickey, probably one if the best restauranteurs I've ever had the opportunity of knowing. When my hetero-life-mate refused to Lady and The Tramp The Porch's signature Giant Moscow Mule with me, Mickey suggested we imbibe with our own mules. One became two, and two became six, and before we knew it we had consumed most of their mule supply. The manager said we had enough, but Mickey, the best person in this place, said we were good to go for another round. Even after I berated the manager with inappropriate language unbecoming of a gentleman like myself. Not only did Mickey have our back, but he got us an Uber with the most strict Covid-19 guidelines. Mickey even wiped down the whole uber himself. Even after all the nonsense we put Mickey and his professional and courteous manager through, they still had our back. I'll never forget Mickey. We were looking for somewhere to eat before heading to a concert. Could have gone to a regular haunt but decided to checkout The Porch. One of the reviews cautioned on limited parking. I agree, but we were lucky to find a spot because someone was leaving. If this place is full, I have no idea where people park, but I digress. We sat at the bar by choice. Service was prompt, courteous, and continuous. Didn't catch the name of the bar staff member who took care of us. I ordered a rueben, and my spouse got the Nashville chicken sammie. Both were tasty. Really want to try this place again; it looks like it'd be a lot of fun on weekends or when relevant sports events are occurring. Patio is inviting. read more

This is easily the best bar in Phoenix. Kaylie is easily the best bar manager I have come across, plenty of personable conversations and an absolute attention to detail. You will never wait for a drink with her or any of the bartenders. Everyone on the staff is super laid back and will go above and beyond to make sure you have a great time. Customer service is on point every time I am here. If you are looking for food the quesadilla and the burgers are absolutely amazing. They have trivia and plenty of people to get along with there. I came to The Porch in Scottsdale recently and unfortunately was really disappointed with the food experience. I waited about an hour for my meal, and when it finally came out it was lukewarm at best. I ordered chicken tenders, and the portion was shockingly small -- more like a kid's meal than a regular order. For the price and the wait, it just didn't feel worth it. On the positive side, the staff and service were friendly and attentive, so I don't fault the servers at all. But the kitchen really needs to step it up on both timing and quality.(The star is for the service.) read more

Especially when The Vig next door has $3 Mimosas and a $4 bloody mary bar. $12 for a bloody mary & $8 for a Mimosa is crazy expensive. I think The Henry is less than that and so is OHSO. Both who make great Bloody Marys. I had a Michelada and it was $7.75. Thats to much! They do use Zing Zang for the mix, which is awesome! If they could get the drink pricing more in line with their competition, it would be a solid go to spot. Staff was on top of stuff too. Well done. read more

FINALLY OPEN!!!! I have been counting down the days till this place opened and it does not disappoint!!! Killer vibe, amazing playlist, and tons of fun games! I had the border bowl with chicken and it was great! Nice cilantro dressing with perfectly cooked chicken. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Tons of TVs make it easy to watch your team, but you don't feel like you're at a sports bar, it still feels like a neighborhood joint, not buffalo wild wings. The Porch Arcadia is a fun neighborhood spot with a cool sports bar vibe and daily food + drink specials that keep things interesting. The Wednesday short rib grilled cheese for $12? Total steal! Went with friends and we also shared the eggrolls and giant nacho, those nachos were piled high with toppings, especially the guac, which was the perfect refresher on a 100-degree day. I've had AWESOME experiences, I run restaurants and breweries and really appreciate that they had local options like Church Music on tap. I have been 3 times and welcomed each time. The bar staff was great, I've only had one food item, the potato chips where delicious. Vibe is great, the energy better and opening a new space is difficult, they did an awesome job and it will only get better and better. This places rules! The food is BOMB. Highly recommend anything with the short ribs in it OR the waffle battered wings. The wings will honestly change your life. The vibe here is exactly what you are looking for 100% of the time. You would be cheating yourself if you didn't come check out this lovely neighborhood bar! The secret weapon is Christina. Great titty bar! If you're looking for a place to bro out and watch intoxicated women in crop tops flash their tits then this is the place for you! The management has the situational awareness of a hibernating polar bear and will continue to pour shots for people who are obviously way too drunk and will do nothing when those people throw drinks in your face. Had a great time tonight at The Porch. Really appreciate the attentive service and precautionary measures they are doing during this time. We know it's not easy maintaining everyone, but you can tell they are doing their best. They take your temperature at the door and sanitizer is available. There were also signs everywhere about wearing your masks when you get up from your seat. My girlfriend and I both had a burger that was delicious, drinks were also very refreshing. read more

I just came in for lunch for my first time with my boss as I heard this place had great food and a cool atmosphere. Our server Bruce recommended a few items he thought to be the best and we ordered the French dip burger and the short rib grilled cheese. We recently stopped in for some dinner as we wanted to try something new. I am really glad we did! I had the Chopped Salad and not only was it great tasting but really cute as the way it was presented (in a mason type jar). Very flavorful. I could not wait for this place to open! Sports bar with amazing cocktails! I went in there and made sure to ask about the cocktails with the server, she crushed and sold me on every one of them. Super cool vibe, great service but uhh your kitchen needs a 101 on French fries... first round came out cold. Not even Luke warm like they were under the heating lamp. Just cold. Sent them back got them back and they were microwaved or since they apparently don't have microwaves they were thrown back in the fryer. Parmesan was completely melted, fries were hard as a rock. I ordered this as part of the summer menu which it comes with a choice of their daily soup (which was a creamy chicken soup on a Saturday), Sicilian meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, Simple Salad or Charcuterie plate. I went with the charcuterie plate which had a array of foccicia bread, pitted green olives in an olive mix of rosemary or thyme theme taste, sweetened figs over a soft cheese spread, pecorino cheese I think, candied nuts, a jalapeño forward pickled veggies such as carrots, cauliflower, prosciutto, speck (another type of prosciutto). Other dishes were kids Alfredo pasta, Margherita pizza and the ricotta cavatelli which has lump crab meat and shrimp, mint and lemon olive. Our server was absolutely 100 percent as well as the rest of the staff. This place used to do valet but when we came for lunch there was no valet which I appreciated as the lot is just a regular private parking. This still has the same set up as it was 10 years ago or so with the barnyard type of structure and an open kitchen. Oh how I missed coming to this specific location. I'm ready to eat here again!

For quite a few months, I had it on my list to visit. I finally made things happen on a Wednesday evening for a drink. Located on the roof (of course) of a boutique hotel, I find free parking in the hotel's parking lot. While it was a busy parking lot, I was able to find a spot. Unfortunately, my night consisted of a comedy of errors. Ambiance (3/5): When you think best rooftop in the state, you're thinking scenic and peaceful views. Don Woods' certainly has that, though I've seen better in Phoenix. You can see the mountains in the background, but that's about it. The hotel is located on a busy street, where you'll often hear the noise of cars buzzing by or the train choo-chooing. Did I just make up a word?! I imagine the best time to stop by is during sunset. The outdoor area is relatively narrow with seating for about 20-30 people. It's a mix of comfortable seats and tables/chairs. There's also a charming indoor area, where the bar is located, but I felt like I had to sit outside. The weather was perfect, too. Service (2.5/5): This is where the comedy of errors began. I was given a menu and some water and was left to peruse the menu. Before the waitress had returned, I had picked out an appetizer and a cocktail. I then discovered that their cook had quit the other week and as a result, no food was available. That's fine and all, but you've gotta give me a heads-up when giving me the menu. That way, I wouldn't have spent the time to look over the food menu and get my heart set on a particular dish. On a better note, they have free WiFi. And service was overall friendly and pretty efficient. Food (N/A): While I was unable to order some food, on most nights, they have a small menu of small plates. More of a snack type of spot then a full meal type of establishment. Drinks (3/5): Don Woods is know for its cocktails and they have a list of 10 or so craft cocktails. Plus, beer, wine, and the typical options that you would find when there's a full bar. I feel like the bartender messed up the proportions on my cocktail as it was a bit rough. One drink and I was out. It seems like Don Woods' is experiencing some turnover which is leading to some mishaps. Combine that with some high expectations given the accolades they won, and it was the recipe for a disaster. I love a good rooftop bar, so I was hoping for more at Don Woods' Say When. Even the lobby of the hotel was experiencing issues. They sell popsicles in the lobby but the guy temporarily manning the front desk didn't know how to get their Square device working. Which ended up meaning no appetizers for me at Don Woods and no popsicles from the lobby. Two strikes. We live to fight another day.

The space is small but has a patio that opens when the weather isn't too hot. The place fills up quickly sometimes so it can be hard to find a seat sometimes. Especially at the bar.
