Stopped here on our way back to LA, food was great had a good time but our waiter disappeared for 30 minutes so we paid through a waitress that actually was responsive. A bartender FLAGGED US DOWN in the parking lot to verbally harass us in front of everyone for not paying our tab when we fully did with another server. I wanted to add on to my review to give a big shoutout to BREE! She was our host 2 days in a row at the Arcadia location. I watched her busting her butt getting all sorts of tables set up for big parties and she was quick, efficient, and did it all with a smile and great attitude. I came with a large group last minute on Father's Day (because I'm the worst I know) and we expected it to be too packed for us which was fine! Bree let us know it was an hour long wait (which we expected) but helped us navigate placing a takeout order instead. While we were looking at the menus outside, another big party didn't show up so she ran out to us and seated us. It was great!! She was awesome and so was our kind server (Tiana? Kiana? The BEST BIRRIA BREAKFAST! Hash Kitchen Aracadia is one of the best hash houses I've been to! It's got a unique menu which fuses different culinary styles and cultures from around the world. I got the "best f*$&ing birria hash" (that's the name!), it's comes with juicy, slow chile-braised beef, mozzarella, white onions, cilantro, Tajin® lime, quesadillas, demi consommé, and escabeche! Everything was flavorful and fresh. My meal was hearty and very filling, you know it's good when you're cleaning the plate LOL. Into lattes? Hash Kitchen has a great coffee selection, I ordered a non-dairy latte. My latte was perfect, it paired well with my meal. The Hash Kitchen has amazing customer service and staff! Our hostess at the front of the restaurant remembered our names and bid us farewell. She pulled us in from the rain as it was getting stormy outside. The BEST part of our experience was our server Matteo, he was extremely professional, personable, and just a cool guy! It's nice to chat with friendly staff, he provided quality service during a busy day! I got an amazing neighborhood vibe from this location. It's trendy, stylish, and has amazing music. This was my first visit to this location and I was quite surprised and impressed. The service was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere. My husband and had the same breakfast Basic AF 2 eggs potatoes 2 pancake and choice of bacon or sausage. I was a little disappointed they didn't have a chicken sausage or turkey patty or something a little different. The buttermilk pancakes were ok not the best but not the worst not a lot of flavor. This place seemed very generic, like you were in a chain restaurant. We both ordered bowls, which were fine but pretty small portions. I ordered a glass of champagne and my husband ordered a cold brew. They said they were out of cold brew so he took an iced coffee instead. The real issue was the check. The champagne was $1 more than the menu price and they charged us for the cold brew instead of the lower priced iced coffee. While the amount of money is small in the grand scheme of things, it left me feeling that the business isn't really being conscientious in how it treats its customers. With the number of glasses of champagne that they sell at brunch, there are a lot of people overpaying at this restaurant every day. The significant price increases at restaurants that people are already absorbing make it particularly annoying to be charged even more than the menu price. read more

My family and I went to Hash Kitchen for brunch this morning and it was such a delight. We waited 5 minutes for a large booth for the four of us and had the nicest server. Our host forgot it was someone's birthday, so we had to remind our server later, but they ended up bringing out two free shots since the first one didn't come with the birthday announcement from the dj - also another way he made it super special for her birthday and made her feel really treated. Hash kitchen is always loud and a party with the music, so if you want somewhere more quiet and intimate this isn't your place, but we loved it! I ordered the Mexican scrambler and added chicken tinga and ended up bringing half home as it was so filling. The had browns were also so delicious. I got a medium spicy Bloody Mary and it was perfect. The perfect kick without being too much and I love the bacon flavor of it. We had such a special breakfast brunch and enjoyed our time. What was great about it was that the music was at a decent sound level. Not so loud you couldn't hear across the table but not too soft you couldn't boogie in your seat if you wanted too. The exterior of the building does not give away the inside. Inside the restaurant it's bright and cheery and gives and big "Welcome" vibe. Open floor with views of the DJ and the bars. When we lived in Phoenix we visited Hash Kitchen all the time. This Arcadia location was not completed yet when we left so now that we were in town we wanted to check it. Like all the other locations this one did not disappoint. We all ordered a a different hash: Carnitas Hash, Huevos Rancheros Hash and Birria Hash. They were all excellent but I will say the Carnitas one was the most flavorful. I personally had the birria and really enjoyed it. The birria was tender, came with perfecly cooked eggs, the potatoes were cheesy, came with 3 quesadillas to make quesabirrias and came with a flavorful consome to dip your birria in. We didnt have drinks this time, other than coffee, but usually the drinks are great the build your own bloody mary is always fun. I really wanted the lemon ricotta pancakes but they were out, so I got the strawberry matcha pancakes for us to share. It was rather disappointing. Ordered a coffee that took a while to be served. I did my Yelp homework about HK so I narrowed down my choices. I was between the Huevos Rancheros, Birria hash or chilliques. Brody definitely got the biggest portion and I tried it and it was really tasty. Bloody Mary bar? Check. (I don't care for bloodies so I didn't have them). I went twice on my trip to the valley. I had the fried chicken Benedict hash - they have fried leeks on it which seems to be a thing here. For a place called "hash kitchen," their servers seem to call their hash Browns "McDonald's".Oof. But crispy and good nonetheless. The potato tacos had a lot of stuff. The brunchilada stack hash has mashed potatoes! Such creative and clever platings. Don't go here thinking you can just get bacon and eggs. Also my husband got a make your own scramble. It doesn't come with toast. So you have to order it a La Carte. I dunno. I think that's dumb and cheap. The open air format, with the bar being half outside, is very welcoming. I can see it being an issue in the sweltering desert heat, but in spring it wasn't bad. My other gripe? I saw years ago there was a Flintstone's hash which looks like it's not a regular menu item. Weak! I need that in my life. read more

I had no clue that it took 30 minutes on a non busy day to get served, nobody asked us for water or anything the boss and the hostess aren't doing anything but going to the back and eating. My husband and I have been sitting here ready to order for the past 45 minutes. And all the servers keep looking around not asking if we've been helped or anything. This is beyond me. And then when we were asked who sat us the hostess says she didn't seat us. So we just walked in here and sat down. The menu had so many choices that before we ordered, we vowed to come back. My husband ordered the Birrea Hash. It was beautiful and delicious. Mine was also excellent! The portions are large and we brought home leftover for a late afternoon snack. We arrived a little after 8 am on Sunday and there was lots of open seating. When I went here a few years ago, we had amazing food, service and the bloody Mary was absolutely unforgettable. However, when we returned with a large party, the service was extremely poor, even though we were there on a weekday and the restaurant was mostly empty. The coffee was terrible, the bloody Mary was watered down and many of our dishes were overcooked or lacked flavor. I'm not sure if it was just an off day for the restaurant because reviews are so high or if things are going downhill. I hope it is the former. read more
