The Ra Ra Room is the private restaurant underneath PHX Arena that welcomes only members and their guests for an exquisite dining experience. After being led into the arena through a back door and down several flights of stairs, the sterile concrete walls give way to a speakeasy-style entrance and a luxurious dining room filled with plush chairs, draped curtains and a mix of paintings and photography. The cocktails were fantastic. My dining companion liked her dirty martini enough to order a second one, and my mai tai was strong and not too sweet. My espresso martini was excellent. The food was incredible. We started with the Caesar salad, which was made tableside and had perhaps the best croutons I've ever eaten. The Carbone spicy rigatoni vodka lived up the hype and reheated well the next day, too. The last part of the experience was the visit to the candy room, where we were able to take whatever we wanted. We picked up Ra Ra Room-branded Cerreta peanut brittle, jellybeans in different flavors and cold drinks to go from the little refrigerators. A couple things to know: Unless you specifically ask for tap water, you'll be charged $9 for water. Also, we thought that the anchovies would be smashed into the Caesar dressing, so we said yes to them, but they were added whole to the salad. Overall, if you receive an invitation to The Ra Ra Room, don't hesitate. It's one of the best dining experiences in Phoenix.

Key Lime pie was the best I have ever had.

If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, the Ra Ra Room is where you need to be. From the moment you step in, you're transported to another time--think Rat Pack era, specifically the late 1950s and 1960s, when the iconic group--led by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr.--dominated Las Vegas. With gold accents, mood lighting, and a sophisticated, vintage vibe, the decor gives off a glamorous, timeless feel that makes you feel like you're stepping into one of their legendary Vegas hangouts. First off, the custom cocktails are absolutely phenomenal. The bartenders really know their craft and will happily craft a drink that suits your mood or vibe for the evening. I ordered a cocktail based on a suggestion, and it was the perfect balance of flavors--smooth, bold, and refreshing all at once. It's clear that they take pride in what they serve behind the bar, making the drinks feel truly personal and unique. Now, onto the service--wow. The team here is friendly, attentive, and genuinely cares about making sure you enjoy your time. It's not the kind of service where you feel like you're just another customer. The staff pays attention to the little things, remembering preferences and anticipating needs before you even have to ask. They strike the perfect balance between being helpful and allowing you to relax. And then there's the food. The Caesar salad is not to be overlooked. The fresh, crispy romaine paired with a perfectly creamy dressing is great on its own, but what takes it over the top are the croutons. I honestly wasn't prepared for just how amazing they were--crispy on the outside, but soft and flavorful on the inside. They've taken the humble crouton to a whole new level! From the cocktails to the service to the unexpected perfection of the croutons, the Ra Ra Room is the kind of spot that knows how to make an evening unforgettable. Whether you're here for a night out with friends, a date, or just a casual meal, this place has something special for everyone. Add in the Rat Pack-inspired decor, and you've got a truly unique and stylish experience that feels both classic and chic.

We met some friends for dinner at Ra Ra Room, and it definitely has that fancy, special-night-out vibe. The cocktails were spot on, and the rolls with the chive butter were next-level--honestly could've made a meal just out of those. We tried the house chopped salad, but it fell a little flat flavor-wise. Our friends got the Classic Wedge, and that one looked way better, so I'd go that route next time. The Crispy Chicken Milanese was the highlight of the night--perfectly breaded, tender, and paired with garlicky mashed potatoes that were so good. We also shared the pigs in a blanket appetizer, and they were delicious little bites. But the most fun part? The candy room. You can scoop up candy and popcorn, and it just adds a playful twist to the whole experience. Overall, a mix of upscale dining with a little bit of whimsy--I'd definitely come back.

First, for a divey-style bar, the barkeep was really friendly. And they have good drinks. He made a stiff dirty martini, an espresso martini, and a few of their Mezcal-based "Smoke and Berries." Outside, we feasted on cheap eats from (I can't remember the name), but we ordered everything from tacos to nachos to fries and I think empanadas? Great music, great lighting, service, and drinks. From the jump, the energy was chill but not boring... lights were warm, music had bounce, and the whole place felt curated without being corny. Bartender energy? Different. No menus needed... we gave a vibe, he poured what matched it. Not sure what was in the glass, but it slapped. You ever drink something so good you start reevaluating your life choices? That. Clean pours. Balanced. Not over-mixed. Just enough sweetness to get you in trouble. Crowd was mixed, stylish... looked like people who know where to be without needing to post about it. The seating's cozy enough to post up and talk but open enough to float around if you're trying to socialize. It had that lounge-meets-night-out energy. Bathrooms were clean... that matters when the drinks are flowing. Never felt like a dive. Never felt like a bottle-service trap either. Entry is free, but you do enter through security guards and pat downs. As soon as we were through security, we were immersed in art through color and sound. It felt like an unending psychedelic labyrinth! Through bushes, we spotted meat cooking on a grill. To our left was a lit up bar, the first of many. Keep walking, and soon we were surrounded by paintings. It was like a choose-your-own adventure! Go left towards art or step to the right to find a covered turf lawn with a live band. We grabbed cocktails at a variety of bars, including a Japanese inspired garden. It was like a lucid dream. We walked through an L.E.D. tunnel, passed couples sitting at elevated hexagon shaped booths, and at one point ended up in a house with a dance party. It's a unique concept. It felt lively and fun, with a bit of adventure as we walked around. I'd definitely recommend this as a solid 4th or 5th date spot, great energy, social, lounge, saki bar, margarita bar and something a little different but all in one place.

My partner and I RSVP'd for a Thursday 7:30pm flight from NYC to Tokyo. Per our email, we were instructed to arrive about 15 minutes early to pick up our flight tickets from the downtown restaurant Wren & Wolf. Spoiler alert: Carry On is a speakeasy attached to the back of the restaurant. After picking up your ticket, you walk around the corner to the large orange "plane" door, which opened punctually at 7:30pm to start our experience. We gave our flight attendants (the staff was indeed wearing flight attendant uniforms) our tickets at the front desk, and were given free Carry On pins before being escorted to our table. Despite being a Thursday evening There were overhead announcements and even windows playing animations emulating a real flight experience from take-off to landing! The interior is gorgeous, from the furnishings to the lighting. Craftily, there are many mirrors inside to create the illusion of a larger space. The menu emulated an in-flight menu, with food and drinks based on the trip's theme! We ordered an additional drink each and an onion dip that were all creatively crafted and delicious! All in all, Carry On is the perfect date night or girl's night experience. While it might not be in most people's price range for a casual night out, it is definitely worth trying for a special occasion if possible. I would love to go back and am looking forward to the next destination's theme!
