This is by far the worst coffee I've ever had. I've had canned coffee with better flavor. The extraction left the coffee so acidic, it was like drinking sour lemonade. I've been to all of their locations in Temecula hoping to find one that has at least 1 barista that knows how to make coffee. Local coffee shop located in old town Temecula. Pretty popular as there was a line outside, but it moves along. Their most popular specialty drink is the BSC which is brown sugar caramel. I asked if that one or the coffee cake is better, he said coffee cake is great if you like cinnamon and vanilla. I went with that one and my boyfriend got the honey lavender. Nice presentation of drinks and I really enjoyed the coffee cake latte - good amount of cinnamon and a smooth vanilla flavor. When you're in Temecula, you need to stop at one of The Press Espresso locations for your morning coffee. They began their coffee journey with the desire to share the fun ritual of coffee with others, and they currently serve from multiple locations in the Temecula & Murrieta communities. We were only able to make it to their Old Town Front Street location because we were in town for a wedding, but we were lucky enough to be able to visit twice. With freshly roasted coffee & aesthetically prepared beverages, for our first visit we went with classic oat milk lattes and they were smooth and delicious. The Belgian Mocha ($5.95) at The Press Espresso is great for anyone who enjoys chocolate, and I recommend going with this before you try their Mayan Mocha ($5.95) with spice so that you can truly appreciate the quality chocolate. Based on our two experiences, I recommend going with their hot drinks over their iced beverages, as both the Oat Latte and Oat Belgian Mocha were amazing tasting, while the Iced Oat Latte and Iced Thai Coconut Espresso ($5.75) didn't live up to our expectations from the quality levels on our first visit. Listen, if you ask me about just the coffee, it's 5 stars. I absolutely LOVE The Press in murrieta and the location near the Temecula mall. This location though has been awful to visit. The staff are very rude. Today I felt uncomfortable even putting in my order. The staff didn't say a word to me through my entire order. I ordered my son a "cruffin" and asked for it to be warmed. He placed it in the warmer and then I paid for my order. The order was ready and the cruffin was still in the warmer. I stood there and was ignored by every staff for a solid 2 minutes. Finally got someone's attention and asked for the cruffin. She pulled it out of the warmer and placed it in a plastic container. The container was then set on the receipt and when I went to pick it up it was SCORCHING. It sounds crazy but it left a black mark on the receipt from its heat. I pointed out that it had been in the warmer for 8 minutes and she asked "do you want a new one?".... Yes. I will not feed this to my 11 year old.. obviously. Again, I love the press, I've had great experiences at the other locations but this one needs an overhaul and probably some training from the staff at the other locations. Edit 9/25: owners have been super responsive and I really appreciate it. The truth is the staff could verbally assault me and I'd still be back because the coffee is that good. I had left a positive review before because I have visited the shop several times and was always treated with friendly service. This past weekend however it was not a great experience. I hope the owners take into consideration who they hire because employees are the face of any business. I was not greeted or acknowledged by the staff members. There was a blond guy who had walked away when it was my turn to order and he started wiping the counter top. I was IGNORED for a good 2 minutes, I was about to leave but the employee (a female) before walking up to the register tells the blond guy "look at you, being so clean" and then she asked if I was ready to order. There was no, friendly greeting. I'm not sure if they take turns on taking customers orders or what the deal was but it made me feel unwelcome to be there. Her face expression was so blank and unkind, almost as if she didn't want to be there. Probably won't be going there again and spending my money there. I came to Temecula on a quick vacation with family. I always look for a coffee shop prior to vacations, and this place peaked my interest. First off the town itself is adorable! Makes me feel like I'm in a Hallmark Christmas movie! When I walked in, it gives cozy coffee house vibes. It was okay, but just tasted like a very milky drink. I couldn't really taste any of the tiramisu flavor. However, there was a long wait time for our desired food place, so we decided to stop for a quick coffee at a place that was walking distance, which ended up being The Press Espresso. We got a whole-milk latte and a honey lavender latte with oat milk. Both were fairly priced with what we got, just north of $10. You could taste the quality of their beans through both drinks, but they were also well balanced and not too bitter. The ambiance was fantastic, perfect for meeting with a friend, having a comfortable place to read a book, or a place to sit down for a couple hours and hash out some work.
