The service is so terrible. I thought the other reviews were lying but no. The servers are incredibly rude. Waited over an hour for our wings to come out. When I questioned the waitress she was so rude. Although the ambience was nice the service and quality of food would never make me come back. Stay away. read more

Came here on a Saturday night and it was great. My friend and I got a bottle of the Scotto Sangiovese Rose and it was delicious. The price was not bad at all, for the bottle it was $28 and we each had at least 3 glasses. The service here was excellent. Our Rose was brought out promptly and closer to the end of the night, the servers gave everyone free dessert they were going to discard the next day. We got to try the brownie and it was probably one of the best brownies I've had in a long time. I loved how fresh and homemade it tasted. I'm a huge fan of this place. It didn't get busy at all, which I loved. The ambiance is very classy, but the people who were there weren't dressed formally, it was dressy casual. It's a really cute place to sit inside or out and I definitely will come back here again. read more

Kids loving their kid mimosa and I am relaxing waiting for a birthday party to finish. Got plenty of time for the bottomless mimosa for brunch! We had the chicken and waffles and the French toast. Gotta ask for their bacon on the side... was so savory! Fruit on the side was fresh and sweet. The chicken and waffles were awesome! The waffles and chicken were very crispy. Also the mimosa was good. The spice on the chicken breading was tasty too. Gotta order a bottomless mimosa and stay for awhile! Perfect mix of juice to champagne ratio... and best of all their mimosa isn't super diluted with juices. After a while you can only handle so much flavor. The pesto chicken bruschetta was very good, and I'm not typically crazy about pesto. Service: I'm blank on names but the ladies were all friendly and helpful as I worked my way down the wine list attempting to come to a decision. The con: It's a little on the pricey side (for me anyway), ranging from $12-15 per glass for the most part, with a couple $8 options... Always wanted to try this place and I'm glad I did! It's a quant, and cozy wine bar with comfy seats, it's clean and beautifully decorated. Service was friendly and food was delicious. Boo! First time here. My girlfriend and I came in on a Thursday afternoon around 5:30. We walked in and grabbed a table outside. We sat there for more than ten minutes and never saw a server. It being our first time, we walked in and sat at the bar where I asked Kayla what the situation was, did we have to order at the bar, or did they serve the patio? I was told they serve outside, but she was busy as she was the only one "running". I'd have accepted that but there may have been seven people in the whole place. We decided to sit at the bar and proceeded to order a glass of wine. There were two other employees (maybe one was the manager/owner) standing by creating a menu. It took ten minutes to get a glass of wine. You'd think the customer is more of an inconvenience than anything else. I asked about an item on the menu and was given a very vague answer to the specifics I mentioned. I asked for more detail and the reaction I got was defensive and as if I insulted her by asking. Dining al fresco is one of the joys of summer. In Tracy that can be hard to do. Only a few places have outdoor seating, and those that do don;t have much. That is one of the reasons the Press is such a welcomed addition to town. the entire place is really nice, but the patio really shines. most of it is nestled under the shade of a gorgeous old (elm?) tree. It provides plenty of dappled light and relief from the (often) unrelenting Tracy sun. Tables are spaced far enough apart to allow for some privacy. In this outing, I checked out brunch. I started off with the french press coffee. It divides perfectly into two servings. Terrific if you are getting your caffeine fix for the day, or if you want to share. It's served with sugar cubes and fresh cream, I wasn't sure about serving sizes, but I decided to try an appetizer anyway. On both previous ventures I went with people who don't care for smoked salmon. I love it, so I elected to try the smoked salmon crostini. They were lovely both to look at and to eat. The crostini were nice and crisp.They were topped with guacamole, slivers of salmon, a slice of pickled onion, and arugula. There are five toasts, which is enough to share or to make a small meal. I was still hungry and they don't serve dessert, so I opted to have the cinnamon vanilla french toast. It was served with honey butter and syrup. It was also really nice. The portion size was modest (in a good way). Sometimes I get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of food that comes in a typical breakfast serving. i can rarely eat it all, feeling over stuffed when I do and guilty when I don't (breakfast doesn't typically reheat well so extra goes to waste) The four slices of toast and two slices of bacon were perfect. It might not be enough for larger appetites, but it was perfect for me. If bacon isn't your thing, all the brunch entrees come with a choice of bacon, roasted potatoes, fresh fruit, or tomato basil salad. All in all I was very happy with the atmosphere and my meal. The staff, including the owner, is really nice. They pace things well and don't rush you. I've been here three times and in each instance I've been able to take my time. the Press is a really wonderful addition to Tracy. I hope it sticks. Recommended. read more

This place is pretty great if you are looking to hang out on a Sunday morning and get drunk lol They have bottomless mimosas and brunch available. I've been there twice and both times the girl who served us was on point! I can't remember her name but she did remember me from the time before and knows that I drink fast so she was on it with the champagne! Lol! She made sure our glasses were full at all times, it was awesome. However, they do not have a great menu selection and what they do have is a little pricey. I ordered the breakfast panini with the potatoes, it wasn't anything amazing but it wasn't bad either. I would definitely recommend this place and I will definitely return for some mimosas read more

A hidden gem in our sleepy downtown. Two weeks in a row my family has gone to The Press, looking for a decent lounge in a city known for lines out the door at Texas Roadhouse. From a well-edited wine list with a mix of big names (Rombauer and Frank Family) to local-ish names from Lodi and beers from Tracy's own Morgan Territory, there's nothing quite like it in the city. The food menu is interesting and always tastes great, despite lacking a bit of focus as to whether it wants to serve appetizers or meals. The cheese plate is always lovely, and I can't wait to visit for Brunch. The more places like this in Tracy, the better. read more

I visited The Press when they first opened, but didn't get to try their appetizers until this evening so I waited on the review. I love their space, cozy spots by the fire during cold evenings but also a very nice outdoor area for those warm summer nights. The wine list is great, there's something for everyone. Happy to see many local wines, and I mean very local - lots from Tracy! The food: wow. I loved the pesto chicken bruschetta - so much flavor! The pulled pork sliders were the special for the evening and I don't think I'll ever make my pulled pork sliders without adding apple to the slaw again... delicious. When I go to a wine bar, I expect to have a nice glass of wine and pair it with cheese and I'd be a happy camper. But the food at The Press is just as amazing as some of the best restaurants in town. I'm very excited to try the rest of the menu items, and stop in for brunch! Friendly/knowledgeable staff and amazing service just adds to the overall awesomeness of this place. Great service! We brunched here this morning and had the bottomless mimosas. They have different juices you could try and I thought that was unique because most places just offer plain OJ. There were plenty of refills on our mimosas and the food was great! While their menu is small, you know they're putting 100% quality ingredients into those dishes. If you have not been to The Press Wine Bar in Tracy you must. The best independent restaurant in Tracy. They serve so many fine wines, but they also serve great food. The Press has just expanded its menu to include a delicious array of pasta dishes. Open Wednesday through Sunday. Some nights and on Sunday there is also music entertainment. Nice and friendly place. New outdoor patio/court yard was wonderful with regular sitting and fire pit sittings. We had brunch specials of poached eggs with biscuit and gravy and spinach and feta Frittata. Both were very tasty but wish it served with potatoes or some other sides. We were still a bit hungry when we left. Also ordered bottomless mimosa for hubby and french press coffee for myself. They didn't have decaf and the french press should be stronger that it was. We didn't see the bottom of the mimosa glass until we left as it was kept refilled to hubby's full satisfaction! (and tipsy!) Wish they would open earlier than 3pm on Saturdays since Tracy doesn't really have that many nice lunch places especially with outdoor seating. read more

My daughter and I thought we would try their brunch on a Sunday. We sat at the counter since they were looking full, first of all the server kept telling us she would be with us in a moment. That turned into 15 minutes because she was more concerned about serving alcohol! Our food took a long time and then sat for another few minutes until we asked if that was ours. Once we got our food it was cold and again our inattentive server couldn't seem to help us. We sent our food back to be re warmed but honestly, it wasn't worth the wait, the food was nothing to write home about. The entire dining experience is not one I will ever repeat. Pass on this place if you're expecting good food and good customer service. read more
