I visited a little while ago with my friend and we had the hugest piece of fish ever. It was so decadent I love a good piece of fish.

Claims to have the best fish and chips. The fish was good, the chips terrible. Just soggy fries. Chips should be cooked at two temperatures but these missed out on being crisped at a higher temp. But I'd go back for the fish (and totally avoid going anywhere near their coleslaw). read more

We were served by Ashley, she seemed very attentive, polite and personable. It's Saturday, but the wait was not very long at all. We were seated right away, and our waitress Ashley came to get our drink orders right away. I ordered yellow Submarine infused with CBD, it's pretty good and my husband ordered the Imported Kaliber, a non- alcoholic beer. It tastes like real beer. We did not wait long for our food to be delivered- the fish was cooked to perfection, the burger was a mess but delicious, and the pesto flat bread was really good. I just wish it comes in a bigger size. Also, the bathroom was clean and smells good. This place BLOWS... the other location away!! I can't believe the night/day difference between this spot and the Rookwood location. This Pub at Crestview does everything right- atmosphere, very cool - staff (amazing) - and food has never disappointed. Highly recommend the fish and chips + fried pickles. Honestly, the only good thing about this restaurant is the staff. Our waitress was very nice and super helpful giving us suggestions and helping us decide what to order. The buck stops there... well except maybe the drink. Let's start with my margarita. It was definitely heavy handed so between THAT and the waitress is the second star I give. Everything else was terrible. My bf's shepherd's pie was absolutely disgusting. I'm glad he was the one who ordered it because he's a human garbage disposal and will eat anything even if it's gross so he at least filled up. If it had been mine I would have eaten two bites and not been able to eat anymore. And that's hard to accomplish cause I eat anything too. It said beef but it had an odd lamb taste. Like... lamb that was reheated a few times. It also tasted like they tore open a Mccormick taco seasoning packet to season the sauce. Cumin does not belong in a shepherd's pie. It was so strong that even with 4 peas only on my fork I COULD NOT taste the peas through the taco taste. The potatoes weren't spread atop the stew mixture. It was plopped on with an ice cream scoop and had the texture of dumplings rather than mash. Moving onto my Mac and cheese. It had a very liquid-y sauce and was a small portion which sucked because it was the only thing I had to tone down the crazy amount of salt in my fried chicken. Which was cooked very well and the seasoning WAS good it just had so much salt I was literally eating a bite of mac with each bite of chicken. My Caesar salad wouldn't have been bad if I had received more than a tsp of dressing. The kids pizza was actually not bad and neither were the fried pickles. And the bathrooms were clean so I guess there were a few more pluses. Overall, I'll never be back but shout out again to the staff. I just can't forgive a "pub" that serves taco packet flavored shepherd's pie. read more

Black Friday; where do you go the day after you've strapped on the feedbag of deliciousness and you're hanging out in Lawrenceburg IN for a few days? Crestview Hills is super easy to get to being right off I-275- takes us less than 15-20 minutes to get there from the Doubletree. Why do I love this place so, so much? Firstly, when I walk in it feels a little kitschy, but it also has that warmth of your fave pair of shoes. Comfortable, supple [yes, I said 'supple'], familiar. Good God, I love to just look at that bar. Secondly, I love this serious menu of comfort food. We're on lower carb but I'll make an exception w/ the fish n chips and be good by subbing fresh cut sweet potato steak fries. Not sure how they manage to make it seem more savory than sweet. If you're not watching carb count - go for the shepherd's pie. She loves it! Bunless burger w/ beer cheese? No problem. Substitute swt potato fries for the chips? Yah - no problem. Some day I may move past the fish n chips - but why? It's huge and perfection on a platter. Strongbow on tap. Good stuff. You want whisky? Yah, that's right - no E in proper whisky - they gots a catalog for you. Bourbon? Check. Black n tan? Yep. Prices are good - portions are great - food frikken awesome & delish. My family and I ate here for dinner on a Saturday night. The Scotch Egg was eggcellent! The Shepherds Pie was not good AT ALL!! It had green bell peppers and cumin....it was not a good combo!! My husbands fish and chips were good, but my daughter had the Countryside Chicken which was dry and the Gouda Mac and Cheese had a good flavor, but was too runny. I stopped in for breakfast this morning. I understand that they were short staffed and really can`t complain about the speed of their service. The bartender was very friendly and did a great job, other than not making the cooks remake my order. My over-medium eggs were lukewarm at best and one of the yolks was broken and hard. On top of that, she said that they gave me white toast instead of the wheat that I ordered...as if that was her call. I didn't eat white bread as a rule, so she had them remake my toast - wheat this time. I`m not cheap, and but for a $10.00 breakfast they give you on piece of toast and two rashers of bacon, that were not well done, as requested, rather they were limp and gross. Stepped in out of the rain to enjoy some "proper" fish and chips. Our server was gorgeous in her red plaid kilt, had our large plate split by the kitchen, and brought hubby and I our own plates of beautiful golden crisp haddock, thick cut chips, along with sweet delicious coleslaw and tangy tartar sauce with a lemon wedge. What more could our hearts desire???? A pint of Guinness to savor rounded out our perfect dinner, leaving us both very satisfied and not overly stuffed. Very fairly priced, friendly pub! read more

We used to love this place. The food is great but this location is awful. The service has gone downhill and tonight was the last time we try to go there. We waited 30 minutes and was told they called our number already when I asked where we were in the queue. They were rude and said we would have to put our name in again. Manager came and had no idea what she was doing and was also rude and said our phone must not have been set up right to accept their number. Thanks for ruining my wife's birthday dinner. I came here for my birthday dinner tonight. Ive always wanted to eat here and I wasnt dissapointed. I was so excited to order shepherds pie. It was very very good. I also got a glass of Chardonnay and Cabernet. Very good as well. We ordered 1 of each dessert. I liked the Bread Pudding the most. The rest of my party ordered fish n chips and 1 ordered the bangers and mash. That was also very well done. We started our meal with spinach and artichoke dip which was very good. I was really looking for a place that took you somehwere when you went there, somewhere with character and the Pub was perfect. The bar is outstanding and is really the star of the place. Went in for the first time to check this place out during their Happy Hour on a Monday night. Found out there was trivia starting later that evening and we decided we had to hang out for that. This was definitely a cool Pub atmosphere and everyone- hostess, server, trivia host were all very friendly. The trivia was really fun and would highly recommend it. The Happy Hour was ok. Beer specials were really good- $3.25 for a short, $5 for a tall of most of their draft beers, and their selection was ample. Their cocktails were $6.50, which seemed like a good deal if you're looking for non-beer. The apps we ordered were just alright. Pretzels were really good, but didn't think the beer cheese or pimento cheese had quite the right flavor profile. The fried pickles were nice and crispy, and the cheese balls were also nice and crunchy, but the marinara could maybe use some amping up. Overall, was really fun, and would definitely go back and try some of their other menu items. Would like to say how entertaining the Trivia Guy was.... good job! Cheers! read more

A jolly good place as English pubs in this area goes. I've been to the one that used to be on the Levy and was disappointed but not so with this place. I've seen real English pubs in tv\movies and this place wouldn't pass as real but it's not too far off. They offered classic pub meals and libations with a pleasant atmosphere with music volumes just right yet the lighting could have been a little brighter in the section I was in. I ordered the fish&chips which came with cole slaw and enjoyed every bite. The wait staff was nice &attentive but the prices were a wee bit high but worth it for the experience. read more

I sat at a booth with a view of the bar, although I think every seat has a great view. My waitress, Krysta, came and was super helpful and patient in helping me narrow down my libation choice (first visit). Although my order was already taken, three other servers came by to ask if I had been waited on. This is why I gave this place five stars. From what we had it was a solid choice. I ordered the "best fish and chips in the US". The server confirmed that they won a contest and won the best taste in the IS. The fish was good, not over breaded. The chips were just thicker cut fries (frozen/not steak fries) The side of coleslaw was adequate and good but nothing fantastic. My husband order the Welch Dip sandwich (shaved prime rib) and thought it was good. One can change out the sides with many choices like salad, sweet potato fries as some options. Service was great and we were there late. They had a good acoustic guitar player singer there. I'd for sure go back again if I'm in the area. read more
