This is THE spot for the afterwork crowd! I didn't expect it to be so busy on a Thursday. Pretty loud in there, but they also have a large patio which is partially covered. The food was incredible. I had the Rabbit Pie and the Lemon Posset. I would go back just to have those! Service was great too, our server, Kieran, was great. He knew the menu well and was a great guide. After reading and seeing all the reviews and food, we had to try this place, especially since it was right next to our hotel, St Regis. We didn't make reservations but was able to get seated right away at 6pm on Thursday. Apparently the menu changes so we did not find the seafood pie or just about anything on yelp. We ended ordering the rabbit pie and lamb Rigatoni. Our waitress was a bit young and appears inexperienced but at least got our order right. The food came and looks great however the pie was much smaller and flat compared to the pictures of the seafood pie posted. The pie sat on top of a layer of mashed potatoes which was a bit soggy. My wife found a few small bone while eating the pie. Guess that authenticates the it is rabbit and not chicken. The flavor is meh. Nothing to special. It's the lack of flavor my wife was a bit disappointed. As for the lamb rigatoni, it too was meh. Same problem. Lacks flavor and just a typical rigatoni. Oh service is also meh, since our waitress never came back to check on our food or refill our water. read more

Didn't care too much for the lamb sirloin meal - the sweet potato purée did not mesh well, and neither did the hush puppies and veggies. It all just tasted strange together so I just picked at the lamb. Food took a while to come out. The cheese bread with Worcestershire sauce was good but not great. read more

Drinks are delicious but the food is meh. The dead man dancing drunk tastes like Christmas in a cup. Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle has a lot of alcohol but doesn't taste like it, which is deliciously dangerous. And the Queen's Tea's presentation is very Alice in wonderland with the teapot and tea cup. In terms of food, the steak & mushroom pie had a gravy sauce that was way too acidic/sour & the fries are thick and bland. I did enjoy the fish because it was tasty, batter was light, and cooked perfectly. I asked for soup instead of the "chips". My friends ordered the mushroom pithivier and they said it was just "alright". The sticky toffee pudding was good but maybe a bit too much crumble. More sauce would have been better. But the ambiance and location is on point. Service was great. read more

Great food, drinks and atmosphere. We shared the scotch egg and I had the steak pie. Both were really good. The steak pie was really hearty, filling and comforting. We found The Rabbit Hole by pure accident!! What a find!!!! After traveling all day we decided to get our dinners to go and relax in our suite. We ordered the Fish and Chips- wait... is this review really about FISH AND CHIPS?!?! You're damn right it is!!! With a 7 minute walk back to the suite- I was anticipating a soggy serving of the fish and some pretty listless chips- nothing could prepare me for the absolute pleasure derived from this meal! The fish was delicious, flavorful, and flaky. The Ale batter was so crunchy and was the perfect compliment to the fish!! The chips- just as crusty and crunchy as the batter, yet, soft and heavenly on the inside!! We finished that incredible dinner by splitting an order of the Sticky Toffee Pudding.... If you do not experience this decadence- your life is just... well... incomplete!! The perfect ending to a excellent meal!!! We are definitely returning to enjoy the ambience- what I would describe as "upscale comfy" English pub. The service was attentive and so polite and helpful. The cucumber pea salad was delicious and refreshing, I loved the mushroom pithivier ( tart) with portobello, squash and mushrooms on cauliflower purée. The beef tartare had a creamy dressing that made it very tasty, especially with the radish pieces mixed in. Nicely done patio atmosphere too! The only reason they are getting 4 stars is because of the inaccessibility. As a person who uses a walker, I knew there were stairs so I brought my cane since my friend was with me. As my friend drove down to park the car, I went to get our table. Me standing there with a cane. I was taken up every flight of stairs to the highest level vs offering me the nearest table on the lowest level. From an accessibility perspective she missed the mark on that one. Could I have said something? Yes. Should I have to? No. Because they are short staffed, the pandemic, reopening, etc... they were not open inside. So we didn't get to see inside the restaurant. The staff are amazing. The food was absolutely delicious! I love my O&B restaurants and the Rabbit Hole is their new addition. I would sum it up as classic English pub fare but with the O&B classy twist that takes it up another notch! 1. Crumpet with apricot marmalade - absolutely the best I've ever had. 2. Pigs in a blanket but not called that cuz these were classier! Pickle brine dip, soooo good! 3. Daily special: seafood chowder pot pie. Really nice but a bit bland, it could use a bit more flavour seasoning wise. 4. Steak & frites: he said it was cooked to perfection. 5. Blueberry pie but the pièce du resistance was the crème fraîche! I asked for more! There was some citrus zest in it that just made everything explode flavour wise. 6. English sticky toffee: he said it was the best he's ever had! 7. I asked for a non alcoholic drink and they could be creative. She asked if I liked savory or floral. I said at Maison Selby I've had the Selby Mule and something that had lavender in it. Go ahead and surprise me! I got a pomegranate, ginger and rosemary delight! Ginger was the first strong note that stick out then the rosemary. I wouldn't have known pomegranate was in there so next time punch that up a bit more. It was so yummy and refreshing. I asked about washrooms but she was honest and said it was far and a bit complicated to get to. I can't walk that far without the walker. So I was ok to wait to get home. Parking was a far, like a million levels down. He was literally gone 10-15 minutes and he said finding his way back was confusing. It is First Canadian Place so it is the business district. Subway or taxi there might be easier. This was his birthday dinner and he was very happy with our dining experience. I would be inclined to go back but the stairs are a big deterrent. read more

We were there for our anniversary and I must say, it totally exceeded our expectation. All the drinks, food and service were on point. My partner is the pickiest eater and he didn't make any changes to the food and thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the Queen's Tea (it comes in a teapot and you can get 3-4 drinks out of it), the dark and stormy, blushing bunny and queens heart. Scottish egg was one of the best we've had. The steak and fries was made perfectly with the excellent aioli for the chunky fries. The rabbit tagliatelle was made with a butter sauce with a hint of lemon and chunks of braised rabbit meat, greens and peas. It was not what I expected but it was so good! We finished our meal with a sticky toffy and could not be more satisfied with this whole experience! Will definitely be back! read more

Last night was the first time I went to the Rabbit hole for dinner and I had a great experience. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is an upscale British pub. The menu has classic British fare with a twist. For the appetizer we got the scallops and oysters. The oysters were standard compared to what you get at most other restaurants. The scallops dish on the other hand was very unique. The scallops were served on a bed of purée cauliflower and green tomato with bits of bacon. The flavour combinations were excellent. For the mains we tried the Braised Lamb rigatoni and roasted chestnut risotto. Both meals were equally satisfying as filling. We ended off dinner with the Black Forest trifle. The chocolate cream in the trifle was delicious but I found there were too many cherry pieces for my liking. Overall, the food and atmosphere at The Rabbit hole was great. I would recommend coming here if your looking for a place to have a special night out. read more

We went in for a drink today - sat at the bar . The 2 bartenders ignored us and waited on others that sat right next to us at the bar . We waited for 10 minutes trying to make eye contact and order a drink . It never happened so we ended up leaving - very rude service . No one in the place acknowledged us or even said hello . I arrived early to a lunch meeting with a friend and was told that plenty of tables were available. Fine, I said, I'll wait outside. When my friend appeared, we took one of the numerous empty patio tables. A man soon appeared to tell us that table was booked and he could only fit us into a small and rather unattractive table in the corner. We moved to that location and a had a long and overpriced lunch while multiple tables around us (including the one we had originally sat at) remained unoccupied. Not impressed by this treatment.
