We started with some yummy cocktails and the okra fries which were delicious - if only okra always tasted this good. For mains, we shared the chicken tikka, black daal, paneer and garlic naan. Pretty standard Indian order. The chicken tikka was just too spicy and we weren't used to that so it went mainly eaten. My favorite was the black daal but again, it wasn't so amazing that I would go and have it again. Honestly the best dish we had was dessert - the basmati kheer is a perfect rice pudding with crème brûlée like topping. So good. Service was spotty, I constantly found myself trying to find our server or make eye contact with him. They were slammed on a Tuesday night (which I'm sure is the case every night) so that's probably just the way things are but it could've been better. Disappointed but willing to try again, also made me want to try some other Indian spots in London next.

I've been passing this place many years always Sean very busy.I thought let me try once if like I'll come back if not I'll go back to my old place but I'm regretting now why I didn't try many years ago. What can I say from service to food everything was top notch.very friendly staff and food is freshly cooked so they can cook any dishes according there customer choices and if something not in the menu still they can make aswel.i tried next door few months ago food wasn't good as this one. The Rajdoot was absolutely excellent. The staff was extremely accommodating for our large party, and provided us with good recommendations as many of us were not as familiar with Indian Cuisine as we were with Punjabi, which is much more common in the States. My fiancee had the butter chicken (amazing) and I tried the speciality dish that the bares the restaurant's name and was blown away. The naan tied it all together. A Marylebone gem! I travel from the US (North Carolina) several times each year, and always make a point of dining here. The food is terrific, the prices quite reasonable, and the staff is warm and friendly. This is a family run business, and they obviously take pride in what they do. Impeccable service, and you should absolutely follow these gentlemen's advice if you're not sure what to get. The tandoori-cooked meat is spot-on. I ordered 2 small plates to start: the lamb samosas and the Gressingham Duck tikka, which was on their seasonal special menu. The samosas were light and the lamb filling was flavorful and spiced perfectly. You can taste the lamb and the Indian spices used in making the dish. The chutney / sauce that accompanied the dish provided a nice sweet and sour foil to the spiced lamb filling. It was divine. The Duck tikka was more heavily spiced but in a good way. The vermicelli like noodles on which the Duck rested were delicious, as well as the Duck. The savory notes worked in tandem with the little bit of garlic that was in the sauce of the vermicelli, which was awesome. The lamb main dish had such a deep flavor and it didn't disappoint as a main dish with the curry sauce. The apple samosa was the perfect ending to the meal. The apple filling was elevated by the nutmeg and the cardamom. The house made apricot toffee ice cream was creamy and smooth. After the starters, they brought out a complimentary drink that I was highly skeptical of. It looked Bloody Mary-ish, and I hate tomato juice, but one smell, and I was in love! It was so unexpectedly amazing; it was my favorite part of the meal. It was served hot and was very cumin-heavy. It tasted like the best, most flavorful ramen broth you could imagine. I could've downed an entire bowl of that stuff! I dipped my bread (partha) into everyone's sauces, and they were all so good. We tried the regular partha and the kind with egg in the middle. The eggy one was the favorite, but both were delicious. For dessert I got a lemony cocktail - and of course, it was amazing, too. I definitely will plan to come back the next time I'm in London! Oh, but I'll bring a jacket next time! The only teeny-tiny negative is that it was so cold in there!

Oyster 2 ways was served very creative, cold with smoked red pepper and hot, pan fried with pepper masala. Vegetarian tasting menu was a bit of disappointment. They started with banana stem soup which was served warm almost tepid, to me soup should be hot. I had to return it. Rest of vegetarian menu seemed like regular South Indian dishes and taste was just ok. Service was quite sub par considering the expectation of a Michelin star restaurant. Our drinks were not filled on time.. we ordered a bottle of champagne and had to hunt down our server to refill it as he kept it in a bucket far away from us. The staff lacked experience in describing the dish. After the dessert course, one of the servers got something sweet in a plate, just kept it and left. I asked her what it was and she had no idea. Overall it was not the experience we expected compared to other Michelin star Indian restaurants in London. But we would definitely go back to have that black cod from ala carte menu.
