We had an amazing experience at 702 Range thanks to Oscar! He assisted us during our range session and later helped us with our CCW class. Oscar is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and friendly, but what really made the experience special was that he's bilingual. Spanish is my wife's first language, and being able to communicate with her in Spanish made the class much easier to understand and much more enjoyable for her. He took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure we both felt comfortable and safe throughout the entire process. If you're looking for excellent customer service and a great instructor, ask for Oscar!

Just took my CCW class at 702. I thought the class would be 8 long hours of boring safety lessons, but Jeff, our instructor, made the class engaging with real life examples and situations. I highly recommend this class for everyone, whether you want to conceal carry or not. You learn a ton and have new respect for your firearm. The facilities are excellent, clean, and the instructors are knowledgeable. Go check out the range and take a class.

Went through their CCW class yesterday with Casey as the instructor and it was a great course. Being from California, this course really caught me up with all the laws in Nevada and differences from carry license expectations between each state. Casey made the class entertaining and not boring which is nice because it's a full 8 hour class. Make sure to bring snacks and water as well. All of the staff is very nice at the facility and doesn't make you feel unwelcome. I spoke to both sides of the registers because I had questions on the memberships and about the facility and everyone was awesome! Yes, a ton of options in the city to go to but there is a reason they do 500+ ccw applicants a month :) GO!!!!

Solid CCW class, informative af and Casey knew his shit. The place is clean and very friendly. Didn't bring a gun but the rental was cheap and it was a nice Glock. 10/10 would recommend. One of the dudes there is built like the hulk.

Oscar was beyond best instructor!! Love how helpful and direct he is Def gonna go back for some one on one training classes

We had Oscar as our range officer and God forgive me for not remembering the guy that picked us up's (& drop us off's) name. We had a great time. Couldn't have been better. Nice facility. Friendly workers. We did the "couples therapy" session. We doubled our ammunition & couldn't have had more fun. Would definitely go back. Shooting automatic weapons & the .50 cal was mind blowing.

Cool place by the look, but not worth the price. Paid $260 for six mags total -- no target change, so by the end I was shooting at paper dust. My Desert Eagle jammed three times, and the staff just took the live rounds and moved on. No replacement, no apologize, just "you're done." Fun for a quick Vegas story, not for value or service. If you're just checking a box on your Vegas bucket list, it'll do. But if you actually care about the experience, there are better ranges where your bullets, and your money, hit something more satisfying.

Had a very good experience at The Range 702 in Las Vegas. It's located just off the Strip, which made it super convenient. We dropped in on a Monday morning and had no problem getting a time slot. We went with the One & Done single gun package and a couple of Triple Threat gun packs for our group. Everything was well organized, and we felt very safe the entire time--the staff was professional and walked us through everything clearly. It's definitely on the pricier side but if you're visiting Vegas and want to try shooting in a controlled and high-quality environment, it's worth it. Pro tip: check their website for discounts if you book in advance.

Ask the Community - The Range 702

Can i shoot a shotgun here?

    Are they open thanksgiving?

    No. Open back up Friday

Can I shoot my own ammo or do I have to purchase theirs?

You can use your own, but hey usually check it before you start shooting

What's the price for one lane with two people?

The last time I was there it was $10 for the first person, $5 for the second for an hour if you have your own guns and ammo. They have discounts with a local ID and they have also have discounts for females on certain day. They have targets for $1+.

If I renew my CCW at Range 702 are high still going to charge me background check if I buy a new gun there?

If you have a CCW permit that was issued after July 1, 2011, you don't have to have a NICS background check.

If I have CCW do I still pay background fee? I've heard your shop still charges for it?

Having a current CCW bypasses the background check/fees in every shop in Nevada and any other pertinent states associated with your permit.

Do I need to have my own gun and ammo in order to take the ccw class?

No, you don't. But the only other option is renting one from the shop including ammo. So you'll end up paying the renting cost plus ammo as opposed to just borrowing one from a friend or something

Are they still doing ccw classes right now may 2020?

Last I heard they were hoping to start mid May. However it's a group class so I would assume governor's restrictions would have to be lifted first. Best to call to inquire.

    Do they have gift certificates?

Yes, they are available on their website.

I want to take a CCW class? When can I come in?

They do the classes Wednesday and Saturday sign up online

I would like to take the CCW class? I don't have my own gun/ ammo, may I know how much would be the cost on top of the $75 course fee?

I think renting a gun will be $25 for the course

Can i bring my own cardboard or paper targets or do i need to purchase their targets?

You can bring your own house target.

Can I bring my own ammo "wolf ammo .223"?

Hi Chris, you are welcome to bring your own ammo. Our only restrictions are no steel, tracer or armor piercing rounds. We look forward to seeing you here soon.

How much is the price per lane and how many people are allowed per lane? Also what is the time limit if any? Thanks.

Good Afternoon John, We have a limit of 3 people per lane. Our lane rental is $10 for the first…

I placed a order in your web, we want to visit on 7/24 afternoon, do I need make a appointment?

Hello Liangjing, A reservation is not required; our lanes are first come first serve so you may arrive whenever you wish. We open daily at 10:30 AM and close at 7:00 PM…

I've never owned a gun before, never held one. So, my questions are, do they sell guns and would they educate me on it? Alternatively, if they don't sell guns, can I bring a gun in and they'll show me how to use it?

Yes Range 702 sells guns, from hand guns up through rifles. Before you buy, you can go in and shoot a variety of handguns and rifles to get a feel for what you like before you purchase. They do offer classes for concealed carry, beyond that it's…

My wife and I came in for a group event to qualify for our CCW…read more I'm a very experienced gun owner, military veteran, prior law enforcement and retired federal agent. Here's what I noticed. I was looking at the handguns before my time up to shoot. The sales people were very polite and seemed genuine. There is a good selection of handguns and they seemed reasonably priced. When we were checking on at the counter the girls behind the counter were super polite and made the experience friendly and positive. The range crew was an entirely different story though. They ruined the entire experience. Based on some of the other reviews I can see a lot of other people have had similar experiences. I put my wife's gun in a lock box and I was carrying it for her. Mine was on my hip in a holster, open carry and very visible. Like every other time I've open carried. There were two range officers inside the range (you can see through the windows). One of them waived us to come inside. You have to go through two sets of doors. The first one takes you to a very small waiting area before heading into the actual range. One of the range officers (who looks 22 years old), opened the second set of doors and started to waived us through and as he is doing so commences to yell at us "hurry up, get inside". Once inside, the second range officer (older white haired gentleman) waived me over to one of the lanes. I walked over as instructed and placed my gun on the table pointed down range. He then says to load it and fire 6 shots down range. I told him it was already loaded. That's when he starts to yell "you don't ever walk into this range with your gun already loaded". I just nodded. After firing my 6 rounds, he moves the target and says to fire 12 more. I do as he asked. He then moves it again and tells me to fire 12 more. Once I was done, I removed the magazine and locked the slide back. When I did that the barrel pointed 1 inch to the left, still putting down range and away. He freaks out and screams "Point the gun down range". I responded "it is pointed down range". I put the gun down and he starts to chastise me some more. I just ignored him and moved back to the window to wait for my wife. She was up next. She was going to use my gun also. I already laid out enough magazines for her to use and left the gun, with the slide back to show our wasn't loaded. She fired her 30 rounds, and the guy was overly nice. As if he was all of a sudden her coach. When she was finished she locked the slide back as I've shown her. He cleared her and said ok you're done. The holster was on my hip. The slide was back and no magazine was in the gun. She started to walk back towards me to give me my gun, when the infant range officer grabbed her and started to push her back to the lane, screaming at her that you don't walk away from the lane without the gun in a locked box. When he put his hands on her I almost grabbed that dude. Don't put your hands on my wife! I yelled at him. When he saw how upset it made her and I he just mumbled under his breath. The range crew ruined this experience and we will never be back here. What a horrible way to treat people. They get 2 stars because the sales crew and the front counter staff were good. When your range crew treats people like trash because you're in "their world", then the rest of your business suffers. Being a range officer doesn't give you the power to be flat out disrespectful and never gives you permission to put your hands on people. After leaving we drove up the road to another shop and bought 10 boxes of rounds and a new Kimber 380.
