What a wonderful experience we had at Red Room. It's a beautiful space with live music. The food is traditional Italian and you can taste the freshness in every bite. We started off with the tableside beef carpaccio, then as mains had the short ribs which was the best I've ever had and their pasta special that was a cream sauce with peas and prosciutto. I really wanted to try everything but there wasn't enough room in my belly and gives me a reason to go back. The service was top notch! Lorenzo who's also the bartender was so friendly, attentive and can make one heck of a cocktail. The manager and owner made sure that they were exceeding our expectations. I love live music. We went on a slower night but they still had a fabulous guitar player playing anything from Sinatra, to The Gipsy Kings. This is really a wonderful hidden gem (literally hidden.) When we got in there was a guitar player playing and then the comedy show started which we did not know about. There were comedians one after another and honestly none were good. We could not have a conversation the whole time. The alcohol and food were really average and there was nothing special about any of our orders. We had a wonderful evening of live music and great food at The Red Room. Our son is a guitar player so anytime I can find a place with live music is always such a treat. My husband, teenage son and I had a 5:45 reservation. We walked the red carpet and arrived at the bar where we were immediately greeted by the bartender who confirmed our reservation. We could see the stage to our right, several booths lining the walls on either side, and about a half dozen or so tables in the middle. We were seated at one of the tables and our server came by to introduce himself and offer us menus. Bread arrived shortly afterwards and then we placed our drink orders. Domenico, the owner, made his rounds to personally greet all the guests which was a really nice touch. Additionally, Kimaya (the singer that evening) also came by and chatted with us a bit and asked if we had any requests, which we did and she performed beautifully. Drinks were great and dinner was delicious. We started with the carpaccio and it was the first time I've had it prepared tableside, which was fun. I ordered the short rib and it was tender, rich and saucy. My husband and son both got the lasagne and they thoroughly enjoyed it. My cacio e pepe was a perfect marriage of the pasta, cheese and pepper. My friend really enjoyed the chicken with mashed potatoes. They have a cocktail list that waxes on the sweeter side but can make you anything from the full bar. Wine list is quite solid as well. My only disappointment was the soufflé- there is a 45 min wait time, so order early. But I was really hoping for a lot more chocolate flavor which was unfortunately not there. We decided to check it out and honestly, it felt like discovering a hidden jewel. I travel to Italy every year for work and have spent a lot of time there, and I can genuinely say the food at The Red Room feels like being transported straight to Italy. Absolutely authentic and beautifully done. The entertainment and live music are phenomenal. I've been back eight times already, and last night was especially memorable we heard an artist who performed Gypsy Kings music, and he's actually a family member of the Gypsy Kings. An incredible performance and an unforgettable night. The owner, Dom, is an amazing guy. He makes you feel completely at home from the moment you walk in. Very hidden but cool spot! Located just at the end of the 55 S. freeway in the Celebrations Venue. A few days before dining we received a text with instructions on how to enter the building. Stay in the right lane when you exit the freeway, it's almost an immediate right turn into the big white Spanish looking church/office building. And you have to drive around the entire thing to get to the Celebrations Venue entrance (just before the parking structure). The Red Room features a full bar, live jazz music, red lights to set the evening tone, Marilyn Monroe pictures, very friendly staff, and a small dining space. The owner, Dominico, introduces himself to each table, he's an Italian man and is very excited to have this restaurant be open for 2 months now. The food-- starters we had the Anicini it's like a hush puppy with pork/mozzarella inside a rice ball, very flavorful, the bruschetta was all very tasty. Entrees-- short rib & mashed potatoes were highly recommended & did not disappoint. The specialty Bolognese with meat sauce (not on the menu) was also highly recommended, and incredibly delicious. My mom had the Surf & turf, included Filet Mignon and 2 large prawns. Filet was perfection, prawns were just okay. Drinks-- bourbon smash was light and refreshing. Fig raspberry martini it was good but kept reminding me off cherry cough medicine for the after taste. Desserts-- they have homemade gelato in their celebrations venue (behind bar) I noticed they take the kids back there for that. Dominico brought us tiramisu & vanilla gelato, both very good, we also ordered a crème brûlée and that one was great and had a hint of lemon. Dominico mentioned that they make a great chocolate soufflé but that needs to be ordered 45 mins ahead of time. Wish a server would have mentioned it ahead of time. Dress Code-- business formal, cocktail dress Pros-- beautiful entry, dining experience, food, would recommend to a friend Cons-- we received the bill, and at the very bottom is says Cash total & Credit card total. Basically they make you pay the 2.5% for using credit card (when other restaurants would eat that costs). The Red Room is unbelievably great. Amazing setting, fantastic Italian food and all the alcohol you need. Full bar with a wonderful, friendly bartender who took the time to visit our table, and give us a tour of the entire facility after we finished dinner. As if it couldn't get any better, the owner Domenico is simply an outstanding human being. His physical presence, totally positive attitude, and complete care for the people that visit... If I wasn't a man, I'd be all over this guy. Along with Domenico, the entire staff was so warm and caring. Domenico does it all. We were lucky his place wasn't packed. He came over to chat at multiple points, telling us about himself and the restaurant. He took our food order. He came to our table when each dish was being delivered. After the food was delivered, he personally plated our food and served us with total Italian style. For a party of four people, we shared the seafood spaghetti and braised beef ribs. Appetizers was order of carpaccio plus an order of their meatballs. Instead of wine bottle, we each ordered cocktails or wine of choice. We finished off with their famous chocolate soufflé.... If you have any remote desire for soufflé, make sure you order it at start of your meal. The soufflé is made fresh and takes 45 minutes. Our food order wasn't huge in quantity, but we each were full after having dessert. Ended up being perfect amount. Domenico nor his staff never pressured us into ordering more to run up the bill, like you sometimes run into these days. Domenico also sings! There was a live musician playing music. Every so often Domenico would go up and sing classic songs by Sinatra and Dean Martin. It's just UNBELIEVABLE that this place exists with the full crew that the restaurant has, with a caring owner like Domenico. He welcomes everyone, no matter your background or ethnicity. (He's a big guy who's in shape though, so it'd be interesting to see what happens to any idiot who tries to be a jerk.) In today's general environment where road rage and dangerous drivers tailgate you, with all the public drama and hate online and off, with high costs and inflation... Found this place while searching for a restaurant to have a nice dinner with some live music. The Red Room is one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've ever had! The ambience was lovely and intimate; it's a smaller restaurant but I feel if it was any larger, it wouldn't have the cozy feel that it does. They had a duo performing American Standards and the sound was loud enough to fill the space while still being low enough to talk to each other at your table. The food and drinks were extremely good as well. I got a cosmopolitan and my mom got a lemon drop martini; usually, both of these drinks can be a little too strong, but their bartender really knows what he's doing because it was the most well-balanced cosmo I've ever had! I took a taste of the lemon drop and it was so refreshing and nice. For food, I got the Cannelloni con Mortadella, my mom got the gluten free/vegan ravioli, and my dad got the short ribs. The Cannelloni was great with a nice, rich sauce and the portion sizes were perfect. The ravioli was so good you couldn't tell it was gluten free and the short rib was so tender it melted in your mouth. For desert, we got some coffee and the chocolate soufflé, both outstanding. The best coffee I've had in a restaurant, it didn't need any cream or sugar, it was perfect as is. The staff and owner, Domenico, are so incredibly nice and welcoming.
