I opted for the Hot Honey Chicken with Pimento Benedict and wow! I was nervous the pimento cheese would be overpowering, but it wasn't at all! It was a nice, creamy complement to the spicy crispy chicken. The hollandaise cut through some of the richness for a pleasant mellower. Prices are reasonable and our waitress was great! The restaurant is larger than it looks but it does get quite crowded. Can't wait to come back here!

This is a solid restaurant with much to offer in the brunch/breakfast area - an area that has become popular and chic, and it almost always means much will be expensive, usual very expensive considering the less than costly menu ingredients that drive food choices here, and other such brunch spots. Brunch is seen as more than just a meal for some folks who are all into what is trendy, and restaurant are aware of this and prices are raised due to the "experience" element! I have tried several items here including their version of Huevos Rancheros (not a fan of how they make it, pulled pork is a party foul), the Eggs Benedict (decent but over priced for sure, $17 with bacon added), and several Omelette choices, can reach $15. This is obviously a popular spot in downtown Winston, but I find it generally overpriced, loud, and the service is inconsistent. I like a good adventure, but somethings simply are not worth the cost! Note that the prices for individual items are written, very lightly with no $ sign to the right of the item. This is done intentionally to make the customer pay less attention to what they spending. I asked if the "simple turkey sandwich" had carved turkey, and I was told no, it was deli meat-deli meat is so processed and unhealthy. I was super disappointed. So I opted for a Smashburger after asking how they liked it and she said it was "delicious". Well, it's not a Smashburger. It's a double burger on a nothing special bun. I was going to take the bun off and eat it with a knife and fork, and I was looking for those yummy crispy edges on a authentic Smashburger. They didn't exist. This was a double cheeseburger with very thick patties. I think they were grass fed so kudos to them for that,, but it was incredibly dry sadly, and when I saw that the bun had been toasted with butter, I put it back on and had a couple more bites, but was super disappointed-and trust me nobody loves a great cheeseburger more than I but now I love smash burgers as well!. I also ordered the Orzo cucumber and feta salad (as well as the french fries) on the side and while it was OK, it was nothing special. French fries were just meh. After all the stellar reviews I had I was very surprised that they would make a double cheeseburger and call it a Smash-burger-I wish these restaurants would stop doing that, it's misleading, other restaurants do this too. And for the money I spent, I should've just gone to Shake shack! I DO think it's worth a second chance, and I will say everybody there was very kind on the Service level and it's an adorable, really beautiful spot and vibe ! I strolled around and looked at the merchandise afterwards. So hopefully I'll be back but just super disappointed I didn't have a nice meal and left hungry.
