Very good service, I ordered a custom build from them and they gave me a masterpiece of an enclosure for the Santa Isabel dart frogs I also got from them! 10/10 reco

We stopped by after dinner and were so amazed at how clean and inviting the store is. If didn't have that pungent smell that other reptiles stores have. The staff, especially the young man was very welcoming. They were attentive to my 9 year old son and showed him different types of animals. My some went home with Texas millipedes. But before we left the young man filled it with substrate dirt and rock decorations. The other young lady was also very informative on the different type of animals in the store. They even showed us the feeding process.

First time here and I was seriously impressed. I've been to a lot of reptile shops over the years, including Amazon Reptile Center, but after being disrespected by the staff there, I knew it was time to find a new reptile spot. That's when I found The Reptile Lounge West Covina. From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was on a different level. The selection here was incredible, by far the best I've seen in Southern California especially with the diversity of rare/exotic animals. I had been searching everywhere for a baby sailfin dragon, and not only did they have one... they had tons of them! That kind of inventory is rare, especially in a newer store that has just opened. The owner Dalton was super friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly very passionate about reptiles. Whether you're looking for a new animal, feeders, enclosures, or knowledge, they have it all. They also ship nationwide! If you're looking for a new go-to reptile shop, skip the drama at other places and check out The Reptile Lounge in West Covina. You won't be disappointed!

This is a great store for all reptile needs! I've come by for feeder bugs, substrate, live plants, and isopods! There's a wide selection of enclosures, substrates, supplies for bio active builds, lighting, hides etc! I also really like looking at all of the different reptiles, especially since this store has a large availability of reptiles that aren't commonly found in other reptile stores. There's also a lot of invertebrates and amphibians! Also the customer service is really great and the owner is so nice and knowledgeable so anyone who is new to reptile keeping should feel confident going in that they can get everything they need here and even a new pet. PS, if you're looking for lighting from Arcadia this store carries the fixtures and bulbs!!!

This store is clean and well organized. They seem to have everything for my frogs and more! There's an amazing assortment of reptiles, snakes, darts, lizards...I'll be back!!

PRO-TIP: Slight discount if you pay with cash!…read more A MUST for any reptile or exotics keeper in the area, especially if you own lizards! I visited here before, years ago, but this was before I kept lizards myself, and now coming back, I was delightfully surprised to see that they have upgraded immensely and modernized. Everything is super clean and sleek looking! Honestly very refreshing since, no offense, many other reptile stores are a bit more aged and cluttered. The set up of the enclosures are a delight to look at! Alright, I don't want to be a hater to the other reptile shops, but AT MOST, the fanciest thing you're going to see is MAYBE a uromastyx, but I was SO EXCITED to see the reptiles that they had here. Like, yes they have bearded dragons and geckos too, but it's not PILES of them and they have much fancier morphs. That black red monster beardie that they have is gorgeous. However, I got to see full grown, inquisitive ackie monitors, an Asian water monitor, Leachies that aren't over $1k, various tree monitors, a Baron's Racer, lovely fire skinks, Kimberly rock monitors, a Gidgee skink (NFS), etc. I have seen some of these ONLY at zoos, reptile shows, or the East Bay Vivarium in Berkeley (the oldest reptile store in the nation). So for the Basking Spot to have these species is a huge testament to the shop's dedication to the craft and hobby. I got my questions answered and I can see that the community loves shopping here. Proper husbandry and breeding practices (as you can see from the fire skinks they have, not the easiest to breed) and responsible ownership, we love to see it! ALSO, it is almost impossible for me to find wax worms, let alone silk worms in person as feeders for my lizards. Sometimes my local pet store has the wax worms and it's a hit and miss if I go to IE and can find silk worms. I GOT BOTH HERE! And the worker was nice enough to carefully pick them out so they weren't pupated yet, thank you! The shop is a bit farther for me, but I will come back 100%!!

I'm quite the nutterball when it comes to rats if you haven't noticed & every single one of my rats came from this very shop. All tame, healthy, happy. Depending on when you go they may have a limited amount of rats or quite the variety! The last time I went they had a few full grown rats. Some a little younger than that, some young adults and QUITE THE AMOUNT of juveniles! I took in 6 juveniles and a young adult. The place itself is small but very nice. Plenty of pets to choose from. Depending when you go you might even spot a cute lil pig in there Plenty of birds & cool reptiles to choose from. There are bunnies/rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters, rats & mice. If you're interested in live crickets for your reptile then this is the perfect place. For rat, mice and reptile owners - this place has plenty of mealworms! Plenty of stuff for pet care as far as food, housing/cages, hay, bedding, hideouts, treats & feeders go. Staffing? They're very kind, friendly & helpful. Ray & his mother are the main ones but there are other workers there too that may take out reptiles to show or allow ppl to pet. Everyone is super friendly. I'm small and not super strong but I do MUST buy those huge bags of pellets for my rats... since I can't carry them, well, one of the workers helped carry it out to my sisters car so that was really nice. The store owner Roy has helped me before as well. Idk why there's some bad reviews about him, so weird, he's such a nice & informative guy! Anyways! I strongly recommend this place! They're the best!

So I returned all that other gear & am starting from scratch. Fernando eased My initial anxiety arriving as a total tank newbie, and gave Me a tour of the various low-maintenance plants I could start My nitrogen cycling with. Nolan - the Captain of this aquarium supplies ship - answered every one of My questions with patience & grace, did not talk down to Me or make Me feel stupid, and I left feeling happily hopeful that I might actually be successful in creating a fish-friendly safe & healthy environment. It's rare to find businesses that go out of their way to show kindness like that. I'll definitely be coming back for more fish and highly recommend Nolan's Aquarium to anyone looking for healthy fish and excellent customer service.

It appeared to be healthy and I took good care of it using proper substrate, diet, enclosure, lighting, and heating. After a couple of weeks though, it stopped eating and died. I asked him--a young seller--why the baby skinks are the same cost as the adult ones. He gave me a stupid reasoning, something about how they're selling it at a set-price. He also assured me that my skink was A+ healthy. So not only did I get ripped off by paying too much for the animal, but it died within a couple weeks. I'm glad I kept their business card since then. They don't have their address written on the business card, nor on the website. It's like they're a fraudulent ghost business. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS AT ALL.

She was nice enough to let me pick up the geckos from her house, and she had packed them up perfectly so they were safe for the drive home. I've also talked to them at reptile shows, and I've only seen nice, healthy reptiles at their booth. In the reptile industry, most sellers guarantee health for the first few days or week after purchase. If a reptile is purchased sick from a seller, it will generally show right after purchasing. If no vet bill can be shown to prove that the animal was unhealthy, it is pretty hard to pin it on the seller/breeder. Switzer Reptiles gets plenty of good reviews on Fauna Classifieds, and they are one of the good guys in the industry.
