About two weeks ago, my son politely asked a waiter three separate times for something. After repeatedly forgetting, the waiter responded, "Hey, I'm really busy, man." That's not an appropriate way to speak to a customer--especially a child. A simple, "I'm sorry, I forgot. I'll bring it right over," would have been the professional response. Waiting tables means providing customer service, even when you're busy. I completely understand having to wait when a restaurant is busy. However, waiting nearly 30 minutes without receiving so much as a drink, while also never being offered a high chair for an infant, is unacceptable.
