My customer BLTA and freshly made iced tea!

Driving home from Tucson to Santa Fe and a perfect place to stop. My dog was greeted by the restaurant's waitress. I was craving a BLTA and asked if they had one on the menu. I was told no but the waitress said the cook would be happy to make one for me. Well they should put what they made on the menu. It was great. So friendly and accommodating. The waitress even brought my sweet dog bacon and a bowl of water. I definitely plan on returning! Great place, food and dog loving!

Wow! Whoever Ted Turner has got in the kitchen really knows what they're doing! This meal was stunning. Sitting outside in the patio was so beautiful and relaxing. The food here is incredible. That was one of the lost memorable burgers I've ever had. Bison burger with teriyaki mushroom and pineapple. I'll be dreaming about that burger for years. The Buddha bowl was great as well. Super tasty and super healthy. Loved it. My date and I split the meal. But ... the fries. Seriously. They might be the best French fries I've ever had! I'm a big fan of good fries. If you are in T or C do yourself a favor and make a reservation at the Sierra Grande! You won't regret it!

The food was FANTASTIC,and the service even better! The food is reasonably priced and the portions are worth every penny! The atmosphere is cozy, and the court yard was darling. Fortunately we were able to be here for the Snow Fall which made the experience that much more pleasant. I ate the "Forbidden Black Rice Bowl"... let me tell you... I have been a vegetarian (of sorts) for almost 2 years now and I have never tasted anything so delicious , filling, and just over all satisfying. I would love to add shrimp to it next time. The "Green Chili BreadPudding" was quite a suprise! I think the sweet cream mixed with the honey and peppers make for a lovely little dessert. I would get it again in a heartbeat. It kinda reminded me of my mama's homemade loaded cornbread. 10/10 WOULD eat there again. (They have hands down the BEST service , in all of Truth and Consequences New Mexico , so far... And we have been to 5 or so other places, recommend by the locals)

We really loved this restaurant at the Sierra Grande Spa. They have great variety, their food is creative, and the atmosphere is relaxing and quiet. It's very convenient to have access to the restaurant if you are staying at the hotel too.

Bereft of much modern-ish, casual dining options to speak of, if you're an adventurous diner, you're stuck with just a few options for dinner in Truth or Consequences. As of late, Ted Turner's imaginatively entitled The Restaurant at Sierra Grande has been a go-to for our family because A) there are plenty of kiddo options, B) the operation runs smoothly, solid service and C) most importantly, the delightful Spa Bowl. Yummers. The dish's description pairs nicely with socks and Birkenstocks: Sautéed kale, roasted sweet potatoes and red quinoa with a spicy peanut sauce topped with sweet potato chips. Guaranteed granola approved. And appropriately named. When you've spent the better part of an afternoon soaking in mineral springs of the 104-108 degree variety, your tummy is looking for something filling but hardly heavy, and the bright vitamin burst that yams can slam. Pair the dish with a Stella Artois or one of the local selections on tap, and you have a very content closure to a tough day of relaxation. You'll also find some crowd-friendly favorites on the menu, from what I've seen/tasted they go safe on burgers and pasta. On warm nights, the outdoor patio is a joy, as are servers, who tend to be talkative locals with a solid sense of humor. If you're staying nearby, definitely walk, don't drive.

We came up to T+C for some hot spring time and decided to stay for dinner as well to make the 1 hour drive seem more worth it. There honestly aren't that many options here on a Sunday night so decided to go for a nicer meal at Sierra Grande. The restaurant is in front of the hotel and has outdoor patio for when it's warmer out. The interior is decorated with southwestern charm and a beautiful stained glass of Elephant Butte on the wall. The menu is not too long and has a heavy focus on (I think local) game. It is by far the most expensive meal on this trip and on par with good restaurants in more metropolitan areas (entree's in the 30's). Oh but the wine by the glass is cheap ($8) is cheap! To start we shared a KALE SALAD which was generously portioned and tasted pretty good. My complain here is that we were not given any sharing plates. For entrees, I went with ANTELOPE CHOP that was served with cheesy grits and swiss chard. The husband had the BISON TENDERLOIN with crab. I do have to say that both are very well cooked and tasted delicious! I think even the non-game lovers will find these dishes quite appetizing and they're not game-y at all. Overall had a really nice meal here at Sierra Grande. While more pricey than anything else around, the quality is definitely there and the portions are pretty big. I would be happy to eat here again. My deduction for 1 star comes from the unfortunately lackluster service.

Excellent, pricey but worth it. The best reason to stay at this hotel. See my review of the hotel for explanation.

Really lovely hotel captive restaurant with a small but well-turned-out menu. Would definitely go again when we're in town.

Bigfoot burger and rosemary fries 1000/10 Cashew chicken, which came with a choice of rice (I got fried), sautéed vegetables (delicious) and an award-worthy egg roll. Chicken was good, but not as good as the burger. I think they use chicken breast, I'm more used to having thighs in these types of dishes. Just a personal preference. The egg roll, however was delicious. Two pints (and then two more) of the hef on draft to seal the deal. In short: go if you get a chance, go without any hesitation! Food is delicious, the venue is very cute and service is incredibly attentive and speedy! You won't regret it!

(Never got used to the cold version in Boston.) It was a mixture of lobster and other seafood but quite nice. My side was a green salad with a vinaigrette dressing and it was really fresh and good. My dinner companion had the truffle fries as his side. I couldn't resist stealing a few from his plate and they were very tasty. He ordered a Santa's Nightcap seasonal cocktail made with eggnog, rum, coffee liquer, whipped cream, and topped with a gingerbread man! I had an espresso martini. It was fine. I have nothing to compare it to since it was my first. The inside was nice but a bit on the small side. The booths had been reserved so we sat at a table in the middle of the room. The woman who waited on us was very welcoming. I must also mention the dog-friendly patio, complete with heat lamps. It looked magical decorated with hundreds of tiny lights. This restaurant is definitely a place to try. You can't miss it due to the giant Bigfoot statue on the sign in front!

The menu is surprisingly creative with tons of vegan and vegetarian choices (and they'll happily modify just about anything). I decided to branch out and try their vegan tamale, and wow -- easily one of the most unique takes I've had! It's served wet style with a rich sauce poured over the top, and it totally worked. Pair that with a glass of their perfectly brewed iced tea and you've got yourself a solid meal. The service was spot-on from start to finish -- several friendly faces checked on our table throughout, which always makes a difference. And bonus points for the little gift shop attached to the restaurant -- it's such a charming touch. Salud really nails that small-town comfort with big flavor and genuine hospitality.
