I generally get my eyebrows done on in last-minute scenarios. So, when I had a lunch meeting at Anepalcos and had a few minutes to spare, I thought, "What the hell, this place is right next door - let's give it a shot." There's nothing out of the ordinary about Ritz from any other cheapie nail and waxing place out there, but they aren't quite up to snuff with some of the others I've been to either. My eyebrows are still in tact, but so was some of the wax from the session afterwards. Seriously. I felt like I was picking wax off of my face the entire drive home. And I broke out. Boo-urns. Guess I should plan these things a bit more carefully in the future and stick to the salons I know. read more

TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! My wife and daughter visited this location yesterday with our goddaughter. She did her nails and they were ok, but the customer service has got to be the worst here! No sense of what good customer service is! After my wife is done with her nails she gets ready to do our daughter and our goddaughter. They're 5 & 6 years old. They ACCIDENTALLY drop nail polish on the floor. These people unbelievably tell my wife to clean this up herself! My wife went ahead and cleaned because she's not a dirty person and well our daughter made the mess, but oh wait, I haven't mentioned my wife was struggling to do so because she is 6 MONTHS PREGNANT! they clearly see her struggling and DONT LIFT THEIR FINGERS! RUDE!!! THE ATTITUDE she got from these people after was so unprofessional. Needless to say my wife CANCELLED the pedicures for the little girls and just paid for hers. WITH NO TIP!! Here's my Tip to the owners wherever you were, don't condone this behavior. If a customer drops nail polish don't be so stingy for a couple bucks look at the big picture and KEEP a customer! I like it here. It's like any other nail place. but the only difference is they are not pushy like other people. And they speak pretty good English and I can actually understand them. Was welcomed at first by very nice people but... overall Decent service. They weren't very business when. Walked in. I had to ask for the technician to fix a big black dot on my white gel polish and received a less than two minute massage with my gel manicure. In addition they charge $1 to use the card machine. I just recently moved near this nail salon and asked yelp to help me find a nail salon. After looking at Ritz reviews and website I decided to try this place. I got greeted right away and attended to. I was given a couple gel books to review to choose my color, then given more to review. I love that they have a wide selection in gel colors! However, while reviewing gel colors one technician came by asked if I was done reviewing, didn't wait for a response, and grabbed the book. Then a couple minutes later another technician came by and stated grabbing a book from my lab without even asking. It Came off abrasive. Since I reviewed their website prior, I noticed that they had combo packages. I showed the technician on my phone which combo package I wanted which was $45. Tina did a great job on my pedicure, she was sweet and made my experience great. Nguyen did my gel manicure and she also did a great job. I know that gel is always an additional change since my package already came with a manicure. However at the end they wanted to charge me an additional $17 for gel being applied to my hands. Keep in mind, the gel brands they use are not OPI or any other professional high end salon brand. I have been getting gel for a very long time but $17 additional fee for gel is a bit extreme and expensive. When I asked for clarification, Hannah, showed she was upset and bothered by me asking why her prices on the website doesn't match. They responded with, we haven't updated our site and our prices are different in salon. However, the price on their sheet in the salon says the same price on the website. I'm still very confused and felt like they were trying to take advantage. Hannah ended up charging me just $45 in total. I wasn't asking for a discount. I was just trying to understand the pricing in case I decide to return. I'm giving 3 stars only because some technicians were rude and Hannah just seemed very unprofessional. I'm hoping this review helps the salon to price accordingly, update website and make the customers feel like they aren't getting ripped off to add gel to their finger nails. read more

Decided to get a spontaneous pedicure after brunch. This place advertises $15 pedicures and was right next door to our brunch place so we were sold. The salon was very clean and probably had the newest spa pedicure chairs I have ever seen. Large selection of nail polishes, but not all of them are displayed as bottles. Once one of the ladies heard that I was looking for Essie or OPI she pointed out a basket of where they keep examples of the nail colors so I was able to order by color. I guess one good thing about that was that we were seated and our pedicures began before we even picked colors, I just had to say the brand and number when the time came. My toes still look pretty a week later (not that I would expect a pedicure to last less) and I would definitely recommend this place read more

I went to get a mani and pedi. As soon as walked in the they were all rushed. Tammy did my pedi and I can't complain she did such a great job. Everything went well but the one that did my mani was bad. She was rush of the bat. She cut my nails too short compare to when I walked in and to top it off my cubicles are around my finger nail. I love the color but I feel like a good chunk of my finger were choped off. She also cut me and didn't both to change anything. My nails we cut in an angel not straight. I have been here before and when you come towards closing time the rush thru everything. My toes weren't even fully dry, she wanted me to get off the chair and the girl who did my mani didn't have a name tag. I will be looking for another place. read more

I have been to this salon in the past with great experiences however it has been about a year. I went in for a simple gel polish on my natural nails. The polish chipped and cracked on 6 out of 10 nails on the same day. Im not sure what has changed but I know I will never go back. I returned to show them and was asked by an employee "what did you do" as if it was my fault! Also was told to have a seat and wait so someone could fix them "really quick". I went here and had a full set put on. Pink and white. The day of I had no problems. Loved the nails, loved how they looked. However, within 2 days the gel topcoat began chipping. And the sides are already starting to lift. Its only been 11 days since I got them done. Typically my acrylics last up to 3 weeks before any of these signs start showing. Within 3 days my pedicure began to chip. Unfortunately I will not be returning. Everyone here was so nice and super sweet, but my nails just do not last. read more

Not the best mani/pedi I've had, and I'm not even too picky about mani/pedis! All I ask is for the color to not chip for more than 2 days. Pedi was ok, but after the mani, my fingers felt super dried out and skin was flaking around my cuticles. Price is cheap, but you get what you pay for. Parking stalls right in front of the salon is problematic at times. The stalls are at an angle, going in is fine but backing out is right onto Main Street traffic, which can take a while during rush hour. Recommend street parking around the corner. read more

The sad part is this is walking distance from my house. Called ahead of time with the purpose of not having to wait long and if they were busy I just would skip one. I got the name of the person to ask for and was told to come in 15 minutes, which is EXACTLY what I did. I walk in the door and not a single person greets me. I figure, that's ok they must all be busy. So I go sit down and wait patiently. 15 minutes pass and still not a single person greets me. Another 15 minutes pass, still no one has approached me. At this point I'm pretty angry and just leave. There's plenty of business that value the customer, this one apparently does not. This is probably my favorite nail place so far. Their prices are great and the ladies are very nice. I usually go in there for a pedi. They do a full pedi with massage and sea salt scrub for $18! That's unbeatable! The down side is that it's always packed and there is very little waiting room. I try to call before I come in, and even then there's usually someone who beats me to the chair. I try going earlier in the day on the weekends and it's a little quicker then going during the week. read more

I went to Ritz for the first time today, and think I have found my spot! Not only was I happily greeted by at least four smiling women, but I was taken care of right away. I had called in advance to make sure they would not be busy, and I spoke with Hannah. When I arrived, Hannah and Tami took care of me. I would HIGHLY recommend those two! Not only did they chat with me and make me feel welcome, but I loved the results! I am in a wedding this weekend and was having a difficult time choosing the right color to go with my bridesmaids dress, and Hannah was so sweet and patient letting me swab at least four different colors before I found the right one. Tami was also super sweet. She was friendly and did an excellent job on my toes. $22 for gel manicure and $26 for a Gel french pedicure- Not bad! Especially because those two women just made it a wonderful experience! I have been coming here for 4 years and Amy makes the most memorable experience each time. I can be quite picky and always in a rush but Amy is literally able to read my mind and correct things before I even realize an issue. I've been to Ritz Nail Salon several times in the past and had always been very satisfied with their service. Therefore I'm giving them a 4 star rating, although tonight I was overly satisfied. Their staff is pleasant but I wouldn't describe them as friendy. The television show on the TV was very entertaining so I won't complain of the lack of chit chat. The prices are affordable and a bit lower than my regular nail salon. My daughter and I both got gel nails. Hers are much smoother than mine for some strange reason. Maybe my lady missed a step - not sure. We both had pedicures, and both are hands and feet look great. I'm sure it tough for nail salons to find a balance behind offering too many extra services and appearing pesty, but I would've enjoyed an extra foot massage at $1 a minute. I have been a client here for at least two decades. At least. Even when I've moved cities and even states, I still have gone back to this location. Never again though. A steady decline in service over the last few years and the rushed, pathetic job that random techs do on my mani/pedis means they will never again have my business or my friends...many of whom I've brought in over the years with me. It's a big deal to me changing nail salons. With the diseases and what not, you know, cleanliness being an issue and people getting fungus and such...I am loathe to change my regular place, but even facing the unknown, I know there is better out there than Ritz where they do a horrible rushed job and make you feel like you're asking too much when you want a layer of glitter polish over coloured polish only on one single toe. I am so excited to have found "my" salon! The experience I had here was wonderful. I came in for a gel mani and pedi. The option to make the appointment online was one of my favorite parts. I have been coming here for probably 15 years and I usually really enjoy it. The service has steadily declined in the past year. They are running a summer special for $15 for a pedicure and I chose the happy feet for $31 it was supposed to have several more features for more than double the price. My massage was only 5 minutes, I choose this happy feet often for the relaxing massage and extra pampering my feet get. I stumbled upon this place while having brunch next door and since I was in the area & needed one, I wanted to see what their prices were for mani+pedi which was priced at a better rate than the one near my home! I've been to nail salons a handful of times and every time I go I wait at least ten minutes but these ladies took me in right away! I got a gel manicure and pedicure with callous removal and the price was about $43 total. It's kinda pricy if u ask me but most salons are around that price range! If I'm in a hurry, they try their best to get me out of there quick. The only problem with Ritz, is their parking lot. Parking is difficult to find, no matter the time. I would come here often, but recently I had a bad nail visit. I came in with my friend, it was late... so I guess when you come late the service isn't the same? I can't believe how crappy this place left my nails, fat and not even filled in all the way. Crappy paint job... and to top it off, the manager, HANNAH did them. Anyways, i was unhappy with the results and I seen that Hannah was tired so instead I went to another location to fix them because ritz was closing and you could tell these ladies would get offended if you told them how bad it looked. When I went to fix them, another nail salon charged me 20$ and even told me that it looks like my nails were filled in a week ago! When I called ritz nails to see if I could somehow get a refund or a free fill...I was told that I could come back and have them fixed with no charge. Hannah was very hard to understand over the phone, and I was nothing but understanding... she didn't give me a chance to talk at all! When I went back, I assumed I was getting a free fill and that's the first thing I told Hannah when I walked in. When my nails were done they refused the free fill and instead I was only discounted 5$ from the 27... on top of that they still charged me 1$ for credit card fee. Overall I saved what 4$????? This place is cheap and does not know how to take care of their customers. That was a bummer because the first time I paid 57$ for my nails and my friends and left a 5$ tip... I paid that for messed up, uneven gel nails that HANNAH did. But Lena was very kind and did my nails perfect the next time around, she took her time and was kind. Overall, Hannah refused to give anything other than a 5$ discount for my friends nails and mine... so make sure you tell them on the spot if you're unhappy. That's 60$ I'll never get back.
