    Rooftop smash burger and fries
    Hannah K.

A highly recommend food stop in downtown Evansville! The service was great, and the food was out of this world delicious. Everything was so unique! Chicken on the beach pizza is a Mexican twist on pizza. You might think that the Rooftop Smash burger is "just another burger and fries", but I can honestly say it's one of the best I've had in a long time. The rooftop sauce really kicked the burger up a notch, and the fries have an amazing seasoning on them. Almost like, brown sugar? Don't knock them until you try them! This cocktail features rum, pineapple juice, lime juice, and cream of coconut. Such a nice drink before or after your meal. Definitely try to stop by and give the Rooftop a try!

I came here to celebrate my 21st birthday because multiple people recommended it for their drinks. Their drink options did not disappoint. I also chose this because I had a few people that weren't 21, so they were able to also come and celebrate with me. My first drink was Caramel Appletini and let me just say wow. It was the right blend of caramel and apple, neither overpowered the other, which to me made it quite enjoyable. For my meal I had the Buffalo Chicken Mac, I had every intention of taking a photo of it before I ate, but completely forgot and just dove right in. Which is why the only photo you're getting is of what was left when I was done. The white cheese mac perfectly balanced out the buffalo chicken, I've gotten it before here and it is always my go to. My only complaint is that I was there with a party of about 20 people. We were about 10 minutes early to our reservation, and when we got there, the room they put us in still had all the chairs on the tables. Also, they sat us at a bunch of random tables which split up our party making it difficult to converse with everyone. Also, two of the tables were booths, which cut off people from each other. The atmosphere of the room we were in didn't really match the rest of the restaurant, the furniture was very plain and there was no music playing like the rest of the restaurant. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive, especially for it being her first night, and there being other large parties happening that night. She was the one who recommended the Caramel Appletini for a drink choice and came in frequently to see if we needed anything else. I give this restaurant four stars because the food and drinks were awesome, it was just our seating arrangements that seemed last minute and unorganized.

Had to check this place out while I was in town for Brunch - we got there at opening and sat in the sunshine! I started with the blueberry lemon martini - holy moly that was delicious - we also got the Sunday special of bottomless mimosas! I got the Christopher Robbin which was delicious, the chicken was cooked perfectly and had just enough syrup and the right amount of berries! Mom chose the Notorious B&G - the potatoes were crispy, gravy was well seasoned and the eggs were on point. We got the Hangover to take home for pops and he couldn't rave enough about how good it was! If you're in the area, stop and check it out! Our server was great, attentive and we will definitely go back!

Let me first say that where we sat on the Rooftop - you would have never have known there was a pandemic going on - as there was NO social distancing and NO ONE wore masks except the staff. Yes - I was complicit in this as I was with a group who didn't try at all to keep distance. I am more conservative and always wear a mask when I'm not with my husband and this group. I caved to the peer pressure and did the best I could to keep my distance. To each his own - And now, a week later, I am still healthy. TG! My review of the restaurant begins with excellent live music. It was recognizable songs and you could hear enough to sign along - but also not overwhelming so you could carry a conversation, too. Perfect. We were with a large group and the staff did a pretty good job of getting us drinks, bringing refills and getting order accurate and out all together. Only one was late - and that entree showed within 5 minutes of the rest. My hubby got a sandwich and fries. He said it was very good. Not the best ever, but I think he gave it 4 stars. I ordered the Fuji apple chicken salad and it was FABULOUS! It was by far the best salad I've eaten in months - probably the best of the year. The competition for that spot has not been good as I've rarely eaten out. My meals during our tournament/vacation have been a true pleasure and treat. Otherwise, I cook at home. Anyways, the salad had lots of really good fixings and decent lettuce (romaine? not iceberg that's for sure). The picture shows the salad and the bowl is deep - with some of the fixings being layered in, not heaped all on top (which causes problems). We got our bill and the prices were fair. We were able to pay and move on as a group in pretty time. I would DEFINITELY go back - but not in a group and would require distancing. I think on another level, they had another live musician going. I would have gone wherever we could have been seated away from others. I would love to have that salad again. I only wish they were local!!

In town from Southern California visiting friends & family. We have two bars we go to when in…read moretown... Leroy's & Lamasco's. After making plans to meet up with my husband's high school friend, he suggested we come here. According to him, a bunch of his fireman friends hang out there & some of their older beloved teachers, from Evansville Mater Dei, which they hoped to run into. As soon as we sat down my husband & his friend found a friend immediately. They hugged & he sat down at our table, which was close to the front entrance. The tables were very cool! They are hinged to the wall & can be made so they are flat & do not take up space. From what I heard, the tables were custom made by a local artisan business. The fridges that housed the beers were commercial refrigerators you'd find at convenient stores, clear with one solid glass door. They were kind of industrial looking being in a bar, which I found aesthetically pleasing, but also smart. They are fully stocked & then can easily be seen when running low. This also allows customers to see what is & is NOT available. BRILLIANT! Drinks are very inexpensive. Bottles of wine can run you $12-16/bottle. Drinks are about $4! My husband's tab was less than $55 & we were there 5 hours! The bar owner is a good friend of our friend who was with us & he bought our pizzas, which were sausage & cheese. Unfortunately, the pizzas are pre-made by another restaurant & could not customize a non-dairy veggie pizza. So, no vegan options, but there are vegetarian options. The bathrooms are towards the back, a straight shot from the front door & designed with a Sailor Jerry themed murals on the doors. The service was great, the vibe was good, and has a mixed crowd, but mostly fire fighters. College night for a younger crowd is on Saturdays. We will definitely come again! My husband already came a 2nd time on our visit. I did not come along as I am feeling under the weather. We are eager to make this a meeting place with friends while in town.

"If you tap it they will come." "Is this heaven?"…read more"No, it's Evansville." Ok, not heaven for sure but pretty darn good beer and friendly people. Well, this is brewery #303 for me. I almost didn't find it because apparently as SWPFTD would say I "wasn't looking hard enough". I'm a trained observer don't ya know! Anyway, I did find it obviously. It's a cute little storefront that's a pretty good size once you get in the door. There were about six people seated at the bar when I walked in. It's pretty clearly a good locals hangout. Everyone was super friendly and one of the gents at the bar ordered shots and offered me one. Well ok! A shot of tequila with a pineapple juice chaser is new to me but pretty damn good! I went with four beers tasters: Darkness on the Edge of Town milf. Oops I mean mild! The mild was that with a nice malty flavor. Arriba Arriba deep south lager is pretty non-offensive. Easy drinking and great in a hot day like today. Don Gets to Name It Amber had a flavor to it that was reminiscent of allspice. I'm not sure it was an addition or if it was the yeast. It was pretty pronounced though. SWPFTD would be pleased with this one. Holdens Hangover rye IPA was a good IPA. I got the rye flavor out of it which I like. I enjoyed the beers and the people at this little brewery. If anyone is a glutton for punishment, please, follow my brewery, and distillery, reviews from across the U.S. and beyond! https://www.yelp.com/collection/-8iscFkpiiCI563-FDfwGg and if anyone is wondering who SWPFTD is you will have to check out my review of Black Market Brewing Co in Temecula, CA to understand. Yes, you will need to read into it a little to get the joke but I have confidence in you! I hope my confidence is not misplaced.
