    fried pickles

Better experience this time overall! The Shirley temple was balanced still! Fried pickles still my favorite thing, the cornbread was less dry. The cinnamon butter is fire. The brussel sprouts were cooked really well, tender but not burnt but I didn't like the mustard pairing. I think they need something a bit sweeter like a maple glaze or something of the like. The pulled pork sliders were good especially with the addition of the caramelized onions. They had a different sauce than I was used to, not necessarily your standard barbeque sauce but I was okay with it. The mac and cheese was way better this time too, more creamy and I really liked the taste. Turns out getting the pulled pork and mac and cheese separately from each other is better lol.

It's been a long time since we've been here. Being as we live in CT it can be a pain to drive to, but it's worth it. The portions are always large and fresh!! The gator nuggets, either fried or blackened always hit the spot! Now I don't know if the fried pickles are a new addition, but I'm totally here for them! Thanks for the service and pleasantness

The fried chicken is IT!! Crispy, flavorful, tender and juicy!! I'll go back for the fried chicken again and again. The cornmeal coated fish and chips were also very yummy. The fried foods did not feel or taste greasy. How??? We also had the mussels in red sauce...the sauce was rich and smoky; really good!! Our server was super friendly, warm, and attentive. We will be going back for sure!

Went for a late lunch. The location is off the main roads so it's secluded. There was street parking. The ambiance was warm and inviting. We were greeted and seated quickly. The staff was friendly and attentive. The catfish Po'Boy I ordered was seasoned and cooked well. The steamed mussels in red sauce is a must order if you come here. On my next visit, I will be looking forward to the jambalaya. Highly recommended with two thumbs up!

Ok experience at Rye Roadhouse. Starting my with the good, the atmosphere is fun, lively and unique. Not your average Westchester joint -- more cozy, Irish/old-school barry feel that will make you feel you're much further away from NYC than you actually are. Service was fine, but nothing to write a yelp review about. The food was the disappointing part. We ordered a steak sandwich and blackened mahi mahi, each with sides of sweet potato fries and a garden salad. Steak sandwich was good, but the fish's seasoning was overpowering and the fries lacked crispness and flavor. Hope my next visit is more successful.

I would say that this establishment was ok to good. It had a very cool 1800s pub feel to it. The lighting was ok and the chairs were hard without cushions and it might be fine for some and a little tough on the back for others. The acoustics were ok, albeit worse than I expected given the number of people and the comfy feel. Our waitress was attentive to some extent. Maybe fair to good. I'm The nachos were generously sized looked magnificent with plentiful and well proportioned ingredients. I think they could have used more of a kick and a little more bite since they were a bit bland. Maybe some pepper Jack or other cheese or some drizzled barbecue sauce might have helped too. I'd definitely give them another chance. The wings were ok. They were incomparable to places that are famous for their wings like Candlelight Inn or Sherwoods. Maybe they didn't need the breading? They were a little mushy and tasted just fine and were fair to good but not great. As the English would say, quite good. The ribs seemed as though they were cooked and cut into their individual pieces and then recooked. Not fried but maybe they were put under the salamander? They were slightly crisp which is not to mean they were not tasty-- they were good, perhaps due to the slight crisp and the BBQ sauce that worked well. We asked a diner at another table who said the fried chicken was delicious. Service 3.5 Food 3.5 Ambiance 3 Overall score 3.33 I'll come back and I think there is a chance they could hit a 4. This time closer to 3 than a 4 tjo

We were excited to find this gem after we visited a local walking trail. The food was delicious and the service although a little slow taking our order was great after that. The cornbread and cinnamon butter was wonderful surprise. I ordered the portobello sliders and my husband ordered the shrimp pi boy with sweet potato fries! Both were delicious. We would definitely come back!

Chicken fried steak - not on the normal menu. This is an occasional weekend special but I think it should be a regular item!

Just saw this on my way back from CT - is it easy to navigate to from the train?

I wouldn't try to walk there from train station but all the local taxis know how to get there. Enjoy!

We found street parking since we came in around 6p. The restaurant was fairly empty but it filled up midway through our dinner. It's lively and nicely decorated. We ordered drinks first, and the cocktail menu had some nice options. Too sweet for my taste so I ordered wine. Simple collection to choose from. Then we had the lamb meatballs. They were very good, especially with the sauce. Not gamey. The fried artichoke was definitely a hit with the dipping sauce. Some of the pieces were a little too dry and I didn't taste much artichoke overall. The roasted romaine was a nice take an a Caesar salad. Grilled asparagus is self explanatory. The pizza was really good but I avoid gluten now so I only had 2 bites; husband loved it. I had the scallops which were too rubbery for my taste. I was hungry so I finished the whole plate after another round of drinks. The staff was attentive and professional. There were smiles at our arrival as well as departure. We were very happy with the experience here. We will come again!!

One of my friends and I will periodically go out to dinner to catch up - and since we had not done…read moreso in over 6 months we were definitely overdue. After a date was locked, the next question was where to go. Talia landed on our radar since it had recently opened and came at the recommendation of a mutual colleague. The menu looked pretty good so we decided to book it. Talia is located in Port Chester, which I must say is seeing a boom in restaurants; seems like this is a new hot spot for dining in Westchester County. It's tucked away along a side street but catches the eye due to its turquoise exterior. The interior is quite spacious (and smelled great) with dining area spread across two floors. We were seated upstairs which, in addition to tables, housed a bar. The decor was upscale without being too stuffy - almost minimalist with small accents, medium woods, and neutral colored seating. The menu is a mix of Italian and French cuisine - separated into apps, bites, salads, pastas, mains, and sides. We decided to share everything and went with a few selections from each section. We decided to start with the hamachi crudo, delivled eggs, fried artichoke hearts, and panzanella salad. These were all great - the crudo was fresh, the eggs contained kimchi which gave it a welcome accent, the artichoke was paired with a tasty yogurt dipping sauce that cut the friedness, and the panzanella salad had an excellent balance of greens and bread. Panzanella salad has the risk of being too bread heavy but it was just enough here. For our mains we decided on the beef filet and the salmon. Both of these were tasty - the filet was served with a side of well-seasoned asparagus and a mustard jus that complemented the beef. The salmon sat on top of some sort of hummus (I think) that contained some chopped vegetables. The skin was super crispy on the fish and the hummus complemented it well. We opted for dessert, and I went with their take on a chocolate ganache cake. This was interesting - it was a super thin slice but that was enough as the ganache was super rich; the cake itself was somewhat dry but I'm not sure if it was meant to be that way? It almost ate like a rice cake with ganache frosting. Despite my confusion it was quite delicious. Service was excellent - everyone was super friendly, and chef-owner Ian Vest even visited our table to say hello. Overall, I had a great experience at Talia - this is a relatively new restaurant and I wish them nothing but the best in this new endeavor. They have some stiff competition in the area, but if they keep it up there's potential for them to be a standout restaurant in Port Chester.

I opted for water as my grandson did and his fiancé order a glass of white wine. It was Sauvignon Blanc, and she found very satisfying. For an appetizer, we shared a truffle pizza. It was a different flavor that I never had before, but very tasty. For entrees they ordered a sliced steak and chicken parm. I went for the seared duck with mushroom gravy. I never had duck served this way. I really really enjoyed it. No one wanted a dessert so my grandson ordered espresso and I ordered a cappuccino. The waitress brought us thin slices of powdered sugar biscotti as a compliment. The ambience is quiet and cozy and dimly lit with an electric light on each table. On the menu it mentions like this restaurant is a sister location of Cafe Alia, also in Scarsdale. This was an excellent choice for Thursday night. You won't be disappointed.Sal E. New Rochelle

The service is always stellar with a good wine menu. The ambiance is peaceful and cozy always with the Garth Road locals who are such wonderful people. I even stopped by there yesterday just to have a couple of glasses of wine. Knowing myself, I'll be back there this weekend or next week.
