The foresting I must say is, " what and inviting staff and atmosphere!" The menu is accompanied by daily specials that are creative and exciting! I had the Reuben burger which came on the most delicious homemade caraway bun, perfectly cooked and the combo of an outrageously juicy Berger's paired with corned beef and sauerkraut was a knockout success! Mmmmmm! Salad w/ Homemade white balsamic dressing with cranberries which were slightly tart as they were soaked in maple syrup, delicate and delicious! I running back! Yummy and delicious! Found this gem while out shopping with a friend! We each order the Cobb Salad. OMG this takes it to a new level! Amazing! Huge the salad was loaded, grilled chicken, hard boiled eggs, fresh cranberries(which gave it an amazing pop of fresh and tart flavor), blue cheese, grated carrots, little sweet tomatoes, and real bacon! The home white balsamic dressing was lovely, and my friend loved the homemade ranch. Oh and I can't forget there was also an amazing fresh homemade roll! Such a wonderful little place! I've never bothered to write a Yelp review before, but I must say how lovely this place is! The food was amazing, and I'll get to that, but first: like others who've commented, I came here to sit and wait out my time while the massive wheel of bureaucracy that is the U.S. Travel Bureau Office spun out an emergency passport for me. I'm not complaining; I was grateful to get the passport and grateful to find this delightful cafe next door where the owner & chef didn't mind me taking up a table for FOUR hours while I waited, a situation seemingly shared by many of the cafe's patrons. I arrived before the lunch crowd, but the grill was already sizzling with a large take-out order. I swooned at the smell of the fries but since it was a little early for lunch, I just ordered a cup of coffee. Despite how busy they seemed, the chef and her helper were unfalteringly patient with me as I fumbled to connect my laptop to the internet. I noticed a large table in the back with a scrabble board on it and thought of what a blessing that would be for parents waiting with kids for their passports. Another woman came in and ordered a breakfast burrito, and we got to chatting about the passport situation. The chef must have overheard me tell this woman how great her food looked, because the next thing I knew, she came to my table with a free refill of coffee and a homemade cookie. I was really touched by that! About two hours later, I finally decided to order the vegan sweet potato & mushroom burger with a side of fries. You pay at the register but the waitress brings your food to you, which is a nice touch, and something most places wouldn't bother doing given how busy they were. The sweet potato burger, topped with an apple walnut compote, was obviously freshly made that day and served on a crispy, buttery homemade bun. Despite the fact that the burger was a little soft and was falling off the bun, it was all delicious. I wolfed down the entire plate of fries, too--hot, crispy, flavorful--great all around. This place left absolutely nothing to be desired and it was a saving grace to be able to sit and relax after driving half-way across the state for my passport. This has to be the best kept secret in Buffalo! Kudos to the owners and the young woman who was assisting. read more

Wow! What a lovely place. You can absolutely tell that every piece of food here is made with love and care. It is so fresh and tasty. Their special sandwich of the day, the TLT (Turkey, lettuce, and tomato with avocado mayo) was so tasty, and their special soup of the day (creamy sweet potato bisque) hit so perfectly on a cold winter day. Quintessential Buffalo spot- great food and even better hospitality! Will be back for sure, and recommend highly to any visitors. read more

It was early in the morning so we didn't try any of the lunch items but what we had was prefect. the bacon egg and cheese on homemade bread was 9/10! to top it off the service was amazing. the owners why was a sweetheart. read more
