It's shameful for me to see with the type of things that people donate to this location and then to look at what they put out on the shelves. This store and many other thrift stores have changed from a reasonable opportunity to find high value items at a good price into some type of scam where people donate quality products and intern they sell them online and put trash on the store shelves. over priced, inappropriate spanish language amongst one another with out knowledge others can translate. They will not priced certain items (Alot) sit them on the floor for long periods of time, and instead of reducing the price, they will t verbally quote you a price, with out the reduce amount. The manager stated the item been on the floor for three weeks then quote me 85 dollars. she stated it will be ruduce in a few weeks. "so you're holding the item for two months?? I have dropped off donations here and shopped many times but I never will again. Staff is not helpful at all and show no interest as I drop items off. Store is a disorganized mess and very little inventory the store.prices are also too high. I went to Wings down the street and it was a much better place! read more

Great deals on some really nice, higher end brands. A very utilitarian store- nothing fancy. Quite a few things scattered on floor and no staff seems to be making cleaning rounds. Had to wait a bit, probably due to low staffing to get checked out when another customer was perusing items in the case. Don't be in a hurry to check out! read more

Over priced thrift store, not very well organized. You have to look through everything in order to find things and correct sizes. I don't recommend and just didn't like how everything was set up. It's a great size store to have everything the way it is and only one cashier with several customers waiting. read more

Poor customer service. I witnessed an associate with purple hair essentially bully several customers. It was uncomfortable to watch and I will not be returning. Also, it is unsettling that the girl with the purple Hair recruited all her friends to come on and leave positive reviews on "experiences" that never actually happened. First she has purple hair, second she berates customers with medical conditions, and finally she scouts friends for fake reviews. Yikes, Salvation Army. Do better with your employee selection. read more

The store was clean enough. To be fair, it was my first, and likely last, visit to a SA store. I can buy new things for less money, or at least close. The main issue I had is you could not exit the way you came in, and the way to leave the store if you are not making a purchase was not marked at all. I tried to receive assistance and the woman at the counter just stared at me so had to ask multiple times, including shouting through my mask as it appeared she couldn't hear me. Other workers were equally less helpful and just pointed, "go that way." It was not clear and you had to weave your way through people making purchases to exit. Having that "entrance" door not accessible as also an exit is unsafe. The Glenview location really needs to take a better look at how they create traffic flow in the store and provide some kind of signage so people know how to get out of the store. read more

This store has the goods, but they refuse to organize them in ways that make it worth going to. There are rows upon rows of great ladies tops, for example, but they are sorted only by color, not size. If you are a medium, say, and want a white top, you have to look through perhaps 1000 small, large, and extra large white tops just to find 100 mediums to consider. Housewares/books/toys departments are like a side business without much to pick from. It all adds up to s a HUGE waste of time, especially with items priced up higher than they ever were before. I am a professional Thrifter and I just had the pleasure of visiting this location and this is by far the best Salvation Store. I was greeted right at the Jewelry counter by the woman with purple hair and she was so friendly. Not to talk down on other locations but the employees are always so gloomy, but this girl had great vibes and put me in such a great mood before I entered the aisles of the store. Prices are INSANELY high. Racks are insanely light. Charging way over retail price for most goods. You could shop and get new clothing for the same price if not cheaper than what they are charging here. I wish I could give this place negative stars. read more

Visited here a few weeks ago at the old Savers location. It was bright and clean. I think the prices are a bit high (13.99 for a new Cubs hat...) so I mostly looked for the color of the day tags. I would return and hope they stay open during this crisis. I did feel quite safe since the store is very spacious. read more

Where do I begin.... this has to be their cleanest store. That's where the one star came from. I wish I could leave a minus... the store's merchandise is routinely priced way too high, especially the electronics. I was just there and an electronic item that sells for $200 on Ebay was priced at $199. Ebay is a money making business, SA is a thrift store. Let me repeat that, SA is a thrift store. One dollar off a $200 item is not a thrift. The item on Ebay was fully working, and if there is a problem you can get a refund. So I check the item in the store (found a working outlet) and it does not power up. Man would I be upset if I purchased this without testing it and was told no refund, after taking it home and finding out it does not work! This store's management needs to go. read more

I just returned from exploring the new Salvation Army resale store occupying the space vacated by Savers and was not disappointed. This new store offers many high-quality items at very reasonable prices and is every bit as clean and attractively displayed as its for-profit predecessor. My only criticism is that the clothing is not arranged according to size, so if you are shopping for a 16" collar, 34/35" sleeve, you are going to have to sift through a lot of shirts! read more

The store is clean and everything is in order, but I gave the store a poor rating due to the manager Matthew. My husband asked me to try on a jacket he found for me. We went to the dressing room area and tried it on (the tag must've fell off at that point). My husband is trying something on so as I'm standing there waiting for him, I notice there was no tag. As a courtesy (not wanting to hold up the line when we check out) I mention to Matthew that the tag was missing. He immediately takes the jacket, rolls it up and throws it in the basket. He notifies me the jacket can't be sold. I ask if I can bring a similar jacket or...but before I can ask another question he rudely shuts me down. I go back to the dressing room area and tell my husband what happened. He then notifies me he has the tag - it fell off of the jacket. He goes and hands it to Matthew but he continues to be rude and refuses it. We couldn't believe how rude he was being considering he's telling everyone to have a blessed day? Really? I was simply trying to be considerate of others, and my husband explained in complete honesty yet Matthew refused to accept any of it. Let us not forget these items are DONATED. read more

Used to be wonderful when Nadia was running the show. Management has recently changed and the new manager is mean - I have seen him lash out at customers. Nothing is hitting the floor. No stock. When the former manager was there, there was always tons of stuff. Now - nothing. Don't waste your time. There are nicer places to go where the manager isn't snappy and mean spirited. read more
