Fantastic! My girlfriends and I had a great experience dining here while in town for the weekend. We started with the spinach & artichoke dip. It was perfect; thick, creamy and cheesy served with these nicely toasted bread slices. For my entree, I ordered the stuffed haddock. OMG it was soo good!! The pastry puff and lobster newburg sauce made this dish. I've never had haddock served this way and I absolutely loved it. The pastry puff gives a unique flavor/texture that works SO well with the fish that I can't believe every place doesn't serve it like this! We all shared a slice of salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. It was delicious; rich & velvety smooth with the caramel sauce on the side (which was perfect). The ocean view from our patio table was lovely. I already want to come back! I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. read more

Could be so much better. Great location, beautiful building. Service is absolutely lacking. No lights for evening dinner on lawn, waiter forgot multiple items and the ones that came were overpriced, underwhelming and delayed (45 minute wait for entrees). read more

What they don't tell you when you make a reservation is that if they have a wedding booked then you get relegated to the dingy basement for dinner, where you have to listen to the heavy bass from upstairs. The food was mediocre and came out with the wrong sides. Absolutely would not recommend to anyone. read more

An incredible dining experience. We had reservations to dine right on the beach, but unfortunately it began pouring rain. No problem! They were able to seat us in the dining room, which has equally incredible views. Our shrimp cocktail appetizers came quickly and perfectly prepared. The shrimp was very crisp and fresh tasting. The salads were fresh and very attractive as well. For dinner I had the Haddock en Croûte. It was stuffed with real crabmeat and topped with Lobster Newburg Sauce. Very old school! The others in our party had the sirloin and seemed pleased enough. The ambience is nice, maybe dated to some. There is a very traditional old seaside resort feel of course. I'm writing this review in hopes of helping people make an informed decision about dining here. The history around the lighthouse and the building is really neat. The views are wonderful, but unfortunately the food is not. The food comes across as an afterthought. A bunch of us thought the seafood cakes sounded great, until the waiter told us they were frozen and not made fresh. That should have been our warning. The "seasonal vegetables" were frozen peas/carrots/corn, and that pretty much set the stage for the quality of the food. Great view for sure, so maybe just go for a drink! read more

Came for our first time tonight seeking waterfront dining. We were seated very quickly (Monday at 7pm) without reservations. The server, Viki, greeted us very quickly as well. I had the vegetable marinara and my husband had the lobster roll (amazing fries). Both meals came out fast and were wonderful. The view was great, service was friendly and fast. Prices are on the higher side ($19-pasta/ $40 lobster roll) but for the view and outdoor seating we were happy with it. read more

I'll start by saying that the view is beautiful (we sat outside) and our server was absolutely lovely. The food, on the other hand, was pretty terrible. For entrees in the $40 range we expected better quality, but everything was bland and I didn't trust some of the seafood in my pasta medley (the mussels looked dry and shriveled). The bread that came with our meals was also rock hard and very dry. I'd recommend skipping food at this spot and just stick to drinks in the pretty setting. read more

May 2018 We only dined here once, likely our last. Restaurant Possible candidate. There are some basic things this place needs before next season. 1. Central AC 2. Clean windows - guys come on these were embarrassing filthy. No one wants to look at bird poop while they eat. 3. New food service vendor 4. Paint every piece of shalac paneling white. The martinis and glasses are embarrassing and should be replaced with a new drink menu. The salads were straight out of a banquet, the blue cheese dressing is better at a local pizza and wing joint. The rolls were straight out of a freezer and consistent with other prepackaged ingredients. I have to say that the entrees attempted a modern twist that were executed at a higher standard than the rest of the experience. Waitstaff was well trained and very accommodating and willing to do whatever was necessary to help their dinning guests. This was our only successful attempt to dine here after multiple summers vacationing at cape cod. We were turned away several times due to private events, I think it would be best to keep dinning experiences to your private guests until you are able to meet the standards that waterfront dining establishments set. read more

We entered the restaurant having to wait for the hostess to show up and seat us for over 15 minutes, keep in mind we had a reservation for 7:30 and got seated at 7:50. Once we finally got seated, the view was amazing, however the food was not. We ordered our food and had to wait over an hour for our entrees to finally show up and it wasn't even that crowded. Once we finally got our food, we had been extremely disappointed that our cedar plank salmon that we had been waiting for so long for was inedible, had no flavor and tasted off. The rice that came with the entree was horrible as well. The stuffed haddock tasted spoiled and the lobster sauce was old as well. Then, finally after that we got the strawberry shortcake for dessert that came with awful sour, mushy strawberries and was extremely unsatisfactory. This was the ONLY place with an opening Saturday evening... now I know why! Do not waste your time or money eating here. The views are great, yes. But the food, ambiance, and service not so much. We ordered a soft-shell crab special and it was a pile of mush. Completely inedible and unidentifiable. We had to send it back for a haddock dish which tasted like paper it was so bland. I do not even think they salted it. The steak was overcooked and gray in color. Stuffed clams were just meh. The chowder was apparently homemade and was actually pretty good. But even the rolls on the table were horrible. Crappy quality and also corn muffins at night that were artificially sweet and inedible. How can you go wrong on a corn muffin anyway? The server was very sweet but WAY too busy and many dishes came with forgotten sides/sauces, requests, etc. The bread took 20 min to come and we had a hungry toddler. Water, 15 minutes. The outside is beautiful w/ the views and the bonfire is a nice touch, however, the inside feels like an assisted living dining room and didn't smell any different than that. Luckily the prices were reasonable so we left under $150 but it was $150 down the drain and that is pretty upsetting! read more

Here is a warning for anyone wanting to eat here. With all the restaurants on the Cape there's no need to go to a bad one. A group of us ate at here last week. Saying the dinners were bad is a definite understatement. Myself and one other had the haddock baked in puff pastry with rice pilaf. The rice was a scoop of gummy, sticky mush. The puff pastry was a piece only under the fish. And the fish, undercooked and flavorless. After complaining the manager offered to replace our dinners. My friend ordered just a shrimp cocktail, hard to ruin that. I opted for the lobster roll "chunks of lobster meat, tossed with mayo, Dijon mustard, and celery, served with romaine lettuce of a grilled brioche roll". I got shredded knuckle meat, no mayo, no mustard, and on a grilled hotdog roll. Another talk with the manager who took the price of shrimp cocktail off my friend's order and for me, only the $10 glass of wine. A third diner had the Zenzo chicken served with a sauce of chicken stock, white wine, garlic, ginger, celery, carrots, and onions. No sauce at all, no garlic, ginger, celery, carrots, or onions, and the same gummy rice. According to the manager, the chef believed in lightly seasoning the food, i.e. not at all. read more

The atmosphere was absolutely perfect. Great views of the water from the deck and the sunset was beautiful. There was an amazing piano player in the lobby. The food was mediocre. No one was particularly impressed and the food tasted like it was prepackaged and then heated up and served. The scallops were good, however they were smothered in a cream sauce that wasn't advertised well. The carrots tasted like they came out of a bag from the supermarket and the shrimp tasted like it was frozen previously and not fresh. Atmosphere gets an A+ but the food was very so so. read more

Our meals were decent. Unfortunately there was a bachelorette dinner going on near our table. They were belligerent and it was annoying. Our server wasn't able to check on us much so we went a long time with no drinks or check. Also the bartender wouldn't make me an espresso martini. I had the opportunity to dine here last evening, July 15th. If you are looking for the quintessential Cape Cod dining experience, this is the place. The view is amazing. Carri the manager was attentive and helpful as it was my first time dining. I had the Waterfront Sole entree which was delicious. My dining partner had the Plank Salmon and rated it one of the best he's ever had. The waitstaff was excellent and we will definitely make The Waterfront restaurant a regular stop on each visit to the Cape. read more

We waited a while before getting served, the waitress assigned to our table didn't come up to us until 30 minutes after we had already been seated. We were fortunate enough to have Nick be our server instead, he was very accommodating, professional, and kind. The restaurant didn't wow me, the food was just ok and it seemed that we weren't the only customers experiencing issues.
