I have tried this place a few times. The food is ok. Nothing spectacular. But in Daytona Beach you don't expect too much. I must say that the chicken cobb salad was recommended by a worker there as the best of the salads. The chicken was disgusting. Stay away from it. Stick to a basic sandwich. Great..little sandwich. .hot and cold Just a couple things to add..as I am also a professional cook..maybe some celery or celery salt in Mac salad. .and definitely some seasoning in potato soup..I specialize in soups..your pot soup..well was potatoes and milk it tasted like ..if your worried about the vegetarian ppl not being able to eat it if you add chicken base..which I guarantee will make..100% yummy.. then use..some real cream and some butter and puleeze some salt and pepper! The previous comment was the potato salad was nothing but potatoes and mayonnaise, and that's really not too far from fact. Lived in the area 11 months and eat out 1-2 times a week. This was by far the worst meal I've had since moving here. Arrived at 10am and the waitress didn't want to make a pot of coffee since it was almost lunchtime and she'd waste the coffee left over. There were egg shells in the omelet my brother had. My husband and I are regular patrons of this shop. The last few times, there was hair in our food. The owner, Patty said "well all I can tell you is that we wear hats. Get over it" ok so, we waited 6 months before returning. Today, we decided to go and try it again. My husband ordered a panini. We were told that because of the hurricane, we couldn't get the same bread and we were asked if a regular ciabatta roll was ok. Yes, that was fine. When he got his sandwich it was cold. Not pressed like a panini should be. We questioned it and Patty got defensive- "why didn't you tell me?" Uhhh because we ordered a pressed sandwich and just because you didn't have the right bread, doesn't mean you can't press it ???. She immediately threw us out of the restaurant and threatened to call the police on us. Seriously? Because we question how the food that be paid for is prepared? Both her and her employee followed us out to our vehicle while screaming obscenities. All because we questioned why our panini wasn't pressed. I don't recommend this place if you are starving and have nowhere else to go. As a business owner myself, I would NEVER speak to or respond to a paying customer like she did. By the way, I also made a complaint on their Facebook page and my response from them was a GIF of Tom Brady high-fiving all of his teammates. Classy. read more

Okay sandwich at a great price, but this place is nothing to write home about. I stopped for lunch, maybe the breakfast is the big winner here. Ham and cheese sandwich same as I'd have made at home...decent sliced meat, peppridge farm bread, a slice of tomato and lettuce. No fountain drinks and I'm not sure what is going on with a sandwich joint not having any potato chips. The potato salad was literally just boiled potatoes mixed with mayo. read more

This place was awesome! The owners/management were friendly and extremely welcoming (shout out to Cincinnati!) the prices were great and food was even better! The sandwiches were huge and delicious (highly recommend the Reuben and the shoppe classic). Overall an awesome place and certainly will be my go to when I'm near Daytona! read more
