Tonight my friends and I went back to the satellite, we had a variety of dishes including the Reuben, biscuits and gravy, and the chicken fried chicken. Food was excellent, and our waitress with medium length blonde hair was very friendly, prompt, and had a great service. It was a great change up from the previous experiences. read more

This is the place where you end up drinking way too much coffee (ETC) when you're not yet old enough to get into the bar, which is a separate room from the diner. We spent a long weekend in Spokane and Coeur d'Alene and while we did not eat here we spent the good portion of Thursday afternoon and evening here. My girlfriend and I enjoy finding great dive bars with friendly locals. While not a real dive bar, this place was just flat out fun. My better half controlled the jukebox all afternoon and the locals were very cool to hang out with. No pretension here, just good people looking to have a fun time. There is no question, the food is great and plentiful. They cook it the way you like and it is usely served hot. It's a cheap breakfast, ususally around $7.95 even for Eggs Benedict, which isn't bad at all. The decore is tired, but there is always someone to watch! The Satellite Diner is a great place to stop at without putting a hole in your wallet. I make it a tradition to stop there and get something to eat whenever I'm back in town. My favorite dish is the grilled cheese pesto sandwich. An excellent dish for a vegetarian and never gets old. The service is fast and very accommodating. Not to mention is place is open really late so it's also good to stop in for a late night snack if needed! read more

We only had drinks here but the atmosphere is nice. Open spaces, lots of the tables and places to sit. A pool table and decent bathrooms. Drink prices were comparable, but lower than Seattle so always a nice bonus. Service was fast and curt, but she was the only server at the time and the place was filling up. Probably the best late diner downtown. Wait staff is super fast and the food comes out rather quickly. I usually have the club or turkey sandwich with beer battered fries. The prices are reasonable also. The only real problem is the bathroom was rather gross and often you'll get really drunk people coming in acting loud. read more

I fell in love with this place the first time I stumbled out of the bar next door only to find that there was a diner connected to it and believe it or not it was open. What a novel idea, open up a diner under the same roof as the bar so that you can snatch up the drunkards as they leave the bar. And that is pretty much the clientel later on during the night, drunks, and the waiters know this and take their time, forget stuff, give you wrong stuff sometimes, but you know what, it doesn't really matter when you're all boozed up. Unlike many small diners, if you come while the bar is still open you're able to order drinks with your meal, not a bad way to eat. read more

This place has character if not a character itself, great selection of food for the fact that it is open to 4am, they do it up for you real quick right there, no frills just good diner food. I had the german sausage with eggs, and hash, with rye and boy did it hit the spot. If I ever am caught in Spokane out late at night this place is will be on the list. In the mornings the bar is closed and the diner offers the best food. All the foods are homemade; I plan on getting the french toast every time. The inside is very almost "divey" atmosphere but that definitely doesn't speak for the food, if anything it's one of the incredible local, whole-in-the-wall finds. Best place to go when the bars closed, and you need some good grub! I like to venture here on sundays and get a club sandwhich, we sub the meat for a veggie patty and it taste absolutely awesome they're very accommodating and even clean the grill so that we didn't have meat products on our food.
