Potato Pancakes with Sour Cream and Applesauce
    Donna P.

We had attended a concert the night before, and wanted a good breakfast. Our regular place was packed so we looked up Yelp reviews and decided to give Molly's a try. So happy we did. Service was spot on. Seats and tables were comfortable. They bring you a pot of coffee to leave at your table, so it's always hot and ready when you want it. He had the 6 egg veggie omelette and added avocado. It was loaded and came with your choice of toast and hash browns that are crispy and have grated onions. I did the potato pancakes that also had grated onions and came with sides of apple sauce and sour cream. I ordered a side of crispy bacon - perfectly cooked and a little thick, which is the way I like it. We both took leftovers home for another breakfast. We came back two weeks later with friends and had another great breakfast.

Good service and friendly servers. They would refill our waters frequently, and when they forgot my toast that came with my order, they brought out a rushed plate right away from the kitchen. The food was large portions and worth the money. We both had leftovers for breakfast the next morning. Also, their side of eggs with the egg plate came with three eggs which was super generous (and no egg surcharge). The chicken fried steak was not the best I have had, but was massive and well breaded with a seasoned gravy on top. Overall, a very good brunch option in Spokane.

Molly's Favorite Omelet (cheese instead of Hollandaise sauce)

Great diner feel with fantastic food. I ordered the Molly's Favorite omelet with hash browns and an English muffin. The omelet was HUGE (6 eggs) and loaded with Sausage, Bacon, Ham, Onions, Green Peppers, and Diced Tomatoes. I opted to have it covered in cheese rather than Hollandaise sauce (the way it comes), and it was perfect! I also got the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast to-go. It was put into two separate containers, since the Chicken Fried Steak filled one box on its own.

Food was delicious and served on a hot plate. Pancake order was huge and I put a big dent in it! Looks unassuming both outside and in so I was shocked with coffee it was just under twenty dollars. Not a place for breakfast bargain. Has a loyal clientele which is always a good sign

Eggs, hashbrowns, and toast -- I went with the menu option of swapping the hashbrowns and toast for pancakes

An absolute gem in downtown Spokane with the best pancakes I've ever had! I went on a weekday morning. Though it was fairly quiet at that time, it was obvious that many of the other people there were regulars, which is always a good sign in my book. The servers were incredibly polite and attentive yet without hovering. Service was fast and the food was very high-quality and served in generous portions. I decided to go for one of their breakfast combos, the eggs, hashbrowns, and toast, except I chose to substitute pancakes for the hashbrowns and toast per one of the options on their menu. After one bite of the pancakes I was very glad I had made this choice!

This place was okay. My friends and I came here from Frank's from just up the street because we did not want to wait and it was meh. Their food here seems to be really greasy and with a layout where the kitchen is open to where the customers sit, you will definitely leave this place smelling like fried oil. I even felt greasy walking out of this place lol! Still, the food was not horrible, but it wasn't a stellar breakfast place either. It's a basic mom and pop breakfast diner with extra grease. The service was really friendly and quick. We never had to ask for something extra more than once. And overall, we felt welcomed in this establishment.

After church on Sunday we stopped at Mollys for breakfast. We were surprised to get seated immediately! The menu had so many great options, but I had to pick my beloved biscuits and gravy! Came with 3 eggs and choice of protein. I, of course, picked sausage links. We were not prepared for our food to come so quickly! Wow, they have quite a kitchen crew cooking up a storm. It tasted like down home cooking. The gravy was very tasty with great flavor and the sausages were huge. My eggs were cooked exactly as I requested. No frills home cooking in a cozy old time breakfast diner. The portions were huge! Great value. We took home leftovers and had breakfast for the next day. Also got a huge cinnamon roll to go after we saw one coming out for another table. Will Order one next time we go. We were very happy with our service and the food. Such a refreshing change from the other chain breakfast joints.

Molly's serves up big food with a smile and for a very reasonable price Omelets are six eggs. Includes a fail amount of hash browns. Definitely a full plate of food. Three cinnamon rolls are meant to be shared, shared by a family. They are enormous, gooey, and a couple thousand calories. They leave pitchers of coffee at the table. My wife and I shared an omelette and a cinnamon roll, and took half of it home. No way are you leaving hungry.

I used to come here in the mornings with my daughter before school and for some reason stopped coming. For sure, not due to Mollys. Well, I've been back a couple of times in the past couple months and have to say it is unchanged and very good. While it may appear to be dated on the outside and inside, that doesn't reflect on the service or quality of the food. Everything we've had has been excellent and portions are massive. They say the omelettes are made with six eggs, and they mean it. The staff are always friendly and busy filling drinks, helping each other, and cleaning. You won't see them sitting around chatting with one another. Great stop if you want some very good diner food.

Locals restaurant that's a bit of a joke in the wall. It's looks like the took an old ihop and turned it into a family restaurant. My breakfast was good. I watched them bing other tables food I saw a lot of really items I wished I would have ordered. (Cinnamon rolls looked really good. Service was excellent and very friendly. I was in and out in 10 minutes.

The texture and look are spot-on; they absolutely nailed the recipe. The portion sizes are wild. Even the side salad filled the entire plate once I dumped it out of the bowl No sweet potato fries, unfortunately, but the salad was so good I wouldn't even bother ordering a different side. I noticed several tables getting the chicken Cobb salad, and that thing is massive. This place reminds me of Cascadia and Rut, and it's great to see more vegan-friendly spots popping up in Spokane instead of the usual flood of chicken joints. Only downside is parking but hey, it's on Monroe Street, so that's kind of expected.

Which was a bummer, but not a big deal. We ended up sitting at the bar when the service was super slow. Luckily we weren't in a hurry. I ordered a margarita and my friend a blackberry Collin's. Bartender accidentally swapped our drinks. We got it figured out after we both tasted them and thought something was off. We started with the beet hummus. That was probably the best thing we ordered, but even that wasn't great. The hummus was lacking flavor. I ordered the sweet and spicy pork belly sandwich for my entree and it was... gross. The pork belly strips that were in it were basically really thick slices of bacon, not crispy at all, and SO SO FATTY. It was, awful. I was really disappointed. Fries were good though. The bartender asked if there was something wrong with the sandwich because I didn't want a box and only one bite. I told her I really just didn't like it. She took it off the bill without hesitation. Which was very kind and also makes me wonder if I'm not the first one to be disappointed in this sandwich. My friend got the lemon herb grilled chicken sandwich and she said it was "alright". It was a nice time out with a friend, but I probably won't go back. I will definitely go to Cascadia, their other restaurant though. That menu is amazing and never disappoints.

My partner had the turkey huckleberry sandwich, and he liked it quite well! We were a bit sad about the green beans. They looked excellent, but were very underdone. We did let the waitress know and she was gracious about it and said she would let the kitchen know. We took them home and reheated them in our steamer basket and they were good. The atmosphere is kind of cute and farmhouse chic, the very open floor plan does get loud though so foam boards to reduce echo would help a lot. The only other downside was just that the service was a bit slow, but they were pretty busy for a weekday night. West Plains Brewing is one of these and am glad that I became aware of it. The lady that was at the counter was super nice and very congenial to visit with so that was very nice. I was having a difficult time trying to decide out of their beer options as to what to have so I went with a taster set and that was a good choice to have made. I tried four different beers from that taster set and I liked them all very much! One of the beers was the Cerveza Fria which was the brewery's Mexican Lager. It was pleasant and refreshing with a slight biscuity flavor and a crispness to it that is perfect to refresh yourself with on warm days. Another beer I had was the Allegiance which was an Amber beer. It was biscuity also and went down easy where it would be very easy to get more of this beer in one sitting. The third beer I had was the Muddy Boots. I liked the maltiness in this beer. While the beer is rich to drink it also comes across as light bodied which gives it an overall nice balance. The fourth and final beer I had was an Oatmeal Stout by the name of Broken Paddle. I do like Oatmeal Stouts and this one was no exception. The flavors you can enjoy in this one are chocolate, coffee and roasty in the beer. The beer is smooth but also comes across as light bodied which you occasionally see in some stouts. A very nice visit to this brewery and worthy of returns whenever I am back in the area.
