Three of us met for a late breakfast/early lunch today and it was a good experience. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries. The cheeseburger was good but the fries were far from golden. Grr! Another ordered the cod fish and chips and the fish was wonderful but again, the fries weren't remotely crispy. Our last one ordered French Toast with scrambled eggs and link sausage. Very good. The link sausage was thicker and bigger and tastier than you find at most breakfast places. The tartar sauce was not to our liking as it had a sharp pickle taste. Anyway... the service was excellent and our server Kayla was so good. Fast, efficient and friendly. Makes us want to return. (Next time we'll request *crispy* fries with fry sauce! read more

Cute and cozy restaurant. We were in town for event and wanted to find a great breakfast spot. This did. It disappoint! They make their own sourdough for bread bowls, toast and French toast. The French toast was light and fluffy and the best we've ever had! Portions were huge! My husband had the Country mess omelet which was huge and so good! We had attended a concert the night before, and wanted a good breakfast. Our regular place was packed so we looked up Yelp reviews and decided to give Molly's a try. So happy we did. Service was spot on. Seats and tables were comfortable. They bring you a pot of coffee to leave at your table, so it's always hot and ready when you want it. He had the 6 egg veggie omelette and added avocado. It was loaded and came with your choice of toast and hash browns that are crispy and have grated onions. I did the potato pancakes that also had grated onions and came with sides of apple sauce and sour cream. I ordered a side of crispy bacon - perfectly cooked and a little thick, which is the way I like it. We both took leftovers home for another breakfast. This place is overpriced and gross. The meatball sandwich is comprised of dried up bread and mushy very overcooked meat, sprinkled for some reason with a ton of sliced black olives. It looked like they were using olives to try to cover up how the dish actually looked, which was mushy and gross. Somehow it tasted worse than it looked. The BLT had scant bacon, tons of lettuce, a few pink flavorless tomato slices and tons of bread. It fell completely apart due to not enough mayo. All I tasted was dry day old bread. The waitress kept leaning over a booth wall and across me, to present things instead of walking around a few steps to the table to complete service. She literally was knocking things off my plate in order to keep leaning over the booth wall to deliver things. She then would just laugh and continue this weird reach thing for anything else she brought including the check. It was really bizarre. The final audacity was the total of our lunch which ended up over $40. It wasn't worth $4. I usually give an establishment a few trys before giving up on them but in this case we will never be back. read more

Good service and friendly servers. They would refill our waters frequently, and when they forgot my toast that came with my order, they brought out a rushed plate right away from the kitchen. The food was large portions and worth the money. We both had leftovers for breakfast the next morning. Also, their side of eggs with the egg plate came with three eggs which was super generous (and no egg surcharge). The chicken fried steak was not the best I have had, but was massive and well breaded with a seasoned gravy on top. Overall, a very good brunch option in Spokane. read more

Great diner feel with fantastic food. I ordered the Molly's Favorite omelet with hash browns and an English muffin. The omelet was HUGE (6 eggs) and loaded with Sausage, Bacon, Ham, Onions, Green Peppers, and Diced Tomatoes. I opted to have it covered in cheese rather than Hollandaise sauce (the way it comes), and it was perfect! I also got the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast to-go. An absolute gem in downtown Spokane with the best pancakes I've ever had! I went on a weekday morning. Though it was fairly quiet at that time, it was obvious that many of the other people there were regulars, which is always a good sign in my book. This place was okay. My friends and I came here from Frank's from just up the street because we did not want to wait and it was meh. Their food here seems to be really greasy and with a layout where the kitchen is open to where the customers sit, you will definitely leave this place smelling like fried oil. I even felt greasy walking out of this place lol! Still, the food was not horrible, but it wasn't a stellar breakfast place either. It's a basic mom and pop breakfast diner with extra grease. After church on Sunday we stopped at Mollys for breakfast. We were surprised to get seated immediately! The menu had so many great options, but I had to pick my beloved biscuits and gravy! Came with 3 eggs and choice of protein. I, of course, picked sausage links. We were not prepared for our food to come so quickly! Wow, they have quite a kitchen crew cooking up a storm. It tasted like down home cooking. The gravy was very tasty with great flavor and the sausages were huge. My eggs were cooked exactly as I requested. No frills home cooking in a cozy old time breakfast diner. The portions were huge! Great value. We took home leftovers and had breakfast for the next day. Also got a huge cinnamon roll to go after we saw one coming out for another table. Will Order one next time we go. We were very happy with our service and the food. I used to come here in the mornings with my daughter before school and for some reason stopped coming. For sure, not due to Mollys. Well, I've been back a couple of times in the past couple months and have to say it is unchanged and very good. While it may appear to be dated on the outside and inside, that doesn't reflect on the service or quality of the food. Everything we've had has been excellent and portions are massive. They say the omelettes are made with six eggs, and they mean it. The staff are always friendly and busy filling drinks, helping each other, and cleaning. There was no wait when we arrived on a Saturday morning. Great seating in comfortable booths was available. It's decorated simply and cutely, and the staff is quick and efficient. And the food is massive!!!!!! Six egg omelets with all kinds of fillings. You are taking leftovers home. Just know this. And then there is the toast! If you thought the omelet was marvie, the toast is just insanely good. Thick slices slathered in butter is what you get. And it is so fresh and delicious! We took our leftovers back to our hotel for the next morning, and this place is a bargain! I had the country omelet - chicken fried steak, hashbrowns, and diced onions fill the omelet, and then it is topped with country gravy. My husband got the hash omelet, which was topped with Swiss cheese. Both meals were incredibly delicious and super filling. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I don't think you will be disappointed with the yummy dishes that are offered!!! read more

This place was pretty awesome. Definitely go with the pancakes or a pancake sampler, but don't be surprised if you have massive amounts of food left because the pancakes are huge. Molly was sweet and despite an eye injury, was there making the rounds. Her staff was busy, but still made us feel welcome and were attentive to our needs. The whole place was decorated like a small town home style diner. When it was time to go, she asked my husband if he was a veteran (he's got the look) and coined him as a way to say thanks for his service. Very sweet. Go here if you are passing through. The staff is friendly and the portions are large. Molly's restaurant is one of our family's favorite places to eat. It usually is breakfast, which is always huge and amazing, but we have had some great lunches here too. They have the best waitresses in town for diner eating, and all of them are fast, friendly, and efficient. What my Hubby likes is the whole menu is available all day long. The silly guy got their every day special double cheeseburger and fries for $7.99 at 8:00 in the morning! The price hasn't changed in years either. Daughter had a meatball sandwich Son had a 6 egg Mollys Special Omelet with the works I hade the chicken fried steak and eggs (3 eggs over easy) We came here hungry and left completely stuffed with delicious home cooked food! We stopped here for breakfast today after seeing some of the other reviews on the place. The food was incredible and the service was amazing. It was so good. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The portions are huge and the prices are very reasonable. BUT...what sets this place apart from others is the service. My truck was broken into in the parking lot nearby. The window was smashed and there was glass everywhere. We live out of town so I didn't want to drive several hours like that so I went in and asked for a plastic garbage bag and tape to cover the window. Not only did they get me that, but they also sent an employee out with a shop vac, tape, plastic bag, and cardboard so I could vacuum out the glass and cover the window up. Multiple employees came out to apologize that it happened and to thank us for coming in. After having something happen to get my blood boiling over with anger, I got to see all the good of humanity come alive. I am thankful for Molly's for going above and beyond and for making a crappy situation much better. read more

So, a few days ago we decided to go back to Molly's. We had not been there for over a year! I ordered 2 items from the menu. I asked for separate plates. What are the chances of getting a hair whipped up in the butter on one plate of pancakes? Along with the other plate served with hair on the eggs over easy! Immediately when I got the first plate I sent it back. The server was so embarrassed. But when she returned I again showed her the hair on the other plate. Yikes, she couldn't have been any more apologetic. Although she replaced the food for hairless items, we asked for an adjustment to our bill. Needless to say we will not be going back! read more

So we have not been here in awhile and used to love it. Today my husband and I brought 2 of our young grandkids. There were several booths open in the front dining room to the hostess whet to seat us in the very crowded back dining room with a shared booth. I told the hostess that this was way too tight of dining and asked to be seated in the front room... She said well there might be quite a wait???? I asked why when there are several booths open right now... She said they were smaller Booth... No they were typical 4 person booths... She grudgingly seated us in a booth... Didn't ask if we wanted any drinks or anything. The bus guy brought us water... The waitress was nice and super surprised when my husband asked if he could have a cup of coffee. We ordered and the food came out pretty quick. I would have given them a 1 star but the waitress was nice and the 2 kids meals were a hit.. my husband and didn't really like our breakfast.
