    Fish and chips

Three of us met for a late breakfast/early lunch today and it was a good experience. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries. The cheeseburger was good but the fries were far from golden. Grr! Another ordered the cod fish and chips and the fish was wonderful but again, the fries weren't remotely crispy. Our last one ordered French Toast with scrambled eggs and link sausage. Very good. The link sausage was thicker and bigger and tastier than you find at most breakfast places. The tartar sauce was not to our liking as it had a sharp pickle taste. Anyway... the service was excellent and our server Kayla was so good. Fast, efficient and friendly. Makes us want to return. (Next time we'll request *crispy* fries with fry sauce!

We were visiting from out of state and thought the little dog Molly was so cute so we had to try this place. Overall great experience! The food was delicious and the portions were huge, but the staff... the staff there were some of the nicest people ever. So friendly and welcoming. Definitely would recommend for comfort food and cozy vibes.

We had attended a concert the night before, and wanted a good breakfast. Our regular place was packed so we looked up Yelp reviews and decided to give Molly's a try. So happy we did. Service was spot on. Seats and tables were comfortable. They bring you a pot of coffee to leave at your table, so it's always hot and ready when you want it. He had the 6 egg veggie omelette and added avocado. It was loaded and came with your choice of toast and hash browns that are crispy and have grated onions. I did the potato pancakes that also had grated onions and came with sides of apple sauce and sour cream. I ordered a side of crispy bacon - perfectly cooked and a little thick, which is the way I like it. We both took leftovers home for another breakfast. We came back two weeks later with friends and had another great breakfast.

Good service and friendly servers. They would refill our waters frequently, and when they forgot my toast that came with my order, they brought out a rushed plate right away from the kitchen. The food was large portions and worth the money. We both had leftovers for breakfast the next morning. Also, their side of eggs with the egg plate came with three eggs which was super generous (and no egg surcharge). The chicken fried steak was not the best I have had, but was massive and well breaded with a seasoned gravy on top. Overall, a very good brunch option in Spokane.

Food was delicious and served on a hot plate. Pancake order was huge and I put a big dent in it! Looks unassuming both outside and in so I was shocked with coffee it was just under twenty dollars. Not a place for breakfast bargain. Has a loyal clientele which is always a good sign

Molly's Favorite Omelet (cheese instead of Hollandaise sauce)

Great diner feel with fantastic food. I ordered the Molly's Favorite omelet with hash browns and an English muffin. The omelet was HUGE (6 eggs) and loaded with Sausage, Bacon, Ham, Onions, Green Peppers, and Diced Tomatoes. I opted to have it covered in cheese rather than Hollandaise sauce (the way it comes), and it was perfect! I also got the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast to-go. It was put into two separate containers, since the Chicken Fried Steak filled one box on its own.

Eggs, hashbrowns, and toast -- I went with the menu option of swapping the hashbrowns and toast for pancakes

An absolute gem in downtown Spokane with the best pancakes I've ever had! I went on a weekday morning. Though it was fairly quiet at that time, it was obvious that many of the other people there were regulars, which is always a good sign in my book. The servers were incredibly polite and attentive yet without hovering. Service was fast and the food was very high-quality and served in generous portions. I decided to go for one of their breakfast combos, the eggs, hashbrowns, and toast, except I chose to substitute pancakes for the hashbrowns and toast per one of the options on their menu. After one bite of the pancakes I was very glad I had made this choice!

This place was okay. My friends and I came here from Frank's from just up the street because we did not want to wait and it was meh. Their food here seems to be really greasy and with a layout where the kitchen is open to where the customers sit, you will definitely leave this place smelling like fried oil. I even felt greasy walking out of this place lol! Still, the food was not horrible, but it wasn't a stellar breakfast place either. It's a basic mom and pop breakfast diner with extra grease. The service was really friendly and quick. We never had to ask for something extra more than once. And overall, we felt welcomed in this establishment.

    Biscuits and gravy breakfast

After church on Sunday we stopped at Mollys for breakfast. We were surprised to get seated immediately! The menu had so many great options, but I had to pick my beloved biscuits and gravy! Came with 3 eggs and choice of protein. I, of course, picked sausage links. We were not prepared for our food to come so quickly! Wow, they have quite a kitchen crew cooking up a storm. It tasted like down home cooking. The gravy was very tasty with great flavor and the sausages were huge. My eggs were cooked exactly as I requested. No frills home cooking in a cozy old time breakfast diner. The portions were huge! Great value. We took home leftovers and had breakfast for the next day. Also got a huge cinnamon roll to go after we saw one coming out for another table. Will Order one next time we go. We were very happy with our service and the food. Such a refreshing change from the other chain breakfast joints.

Molly's serves up big food with a smile and for a very reasonable price Omelets are six eggs. Includes a fail amount of hash browns. Definitely a full plate of food. Three cinnamon rolls are meant to be shared, shared by a family. They are enormous, gooey, and a couple thousand calories. They leave pitchers of coffee at the table. My wife and I shared an omelette and a cinnamon roll, and took half of it home. No way are you leaving hungry.

I used to come here in the mornings with my daughter before school and for some reason stopped coming. For sure, not due to Mollys. Well, I've been back a couple of times in the past couple months and have to say it is unchanged and very good. While it may appear to be dated on the outside and inside, that doesn't reflect on the service or quality of the food. Everything we've had has been excellent and portions are massive. They say the omelettes are made with six eggs, and they mean it. The staff are always friendly and busy filling drinks, helping each other, and cleaning. You won't see them sitting around chatting with one another. Great stop if you want some very good diner food.

    Water

On May 19, 2024, my senses were filled with the water of Molly's Family Restaurant. The water was cold and with ice, in decently tall cups. Water is served to the table. I recommend this water.

A deeper dive showed a good possibility of gluten free options, so I made the reservation. I was in town on a Monday, just after Hoopfest, but they were the kind of busy where a reservation should always be made I think. My table was ready and I sat in the bar at a high top table. I think I would choose "in the dining room" next time. My server was friendly and quick, as well as knowledgeable about gluten free options. There is even a separate menu that lays out the dishes that are already gf or could be made to be. Love this, always. I ordered the summer salad to start. It was amazing. Flavorful. Fresh. The mint wasn't overpowering, the watermelon was the perfect ripeness. It was so good. I would try to recreate it but it was done so well, and I know I couldn't hit that dressing in the same way. Get it while you can. For my main, I had ordered the scallops in my brain before I even arrived. The risotto was a little soupy, but the flavor was SO good. The corn came through and it went so well with the scallops. The tomatoes were quite over salted, but as long as I didn't eat them alone, it was alright. The scallops were perfectly cooked and I felt like the portion was appropriately sized for the dish, even though there were only 4. My server really made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was busy but the booths looked like they could be cozy. The prices were on the higher end. But for a special occasion, it was worth it. I really wished I'd had room for dessert. I will surely go back the next time I am in town.

First off, I was looking for an authentic Napoli style pizza. Like a fresh red sauce from crushed tomatoes and a beautiful chewy, pillowy, yet charred crust. The verdict: Wooden City is the winner! The crust is really really good! The sauce is a bright beautiful tomato sauce that looks like crushed tomatoes however, the sauce was lacking flavor:( I would give this pizza a 3 out of 5. The crust is a 4 1/2 star but the sauce lacking in flavor..brought it down to a 3. Cute place, very pleasant friendly staff..way friendlier vibe than Barrelhouse. The boys are easy on the eyes for younger girls on the hunt! Lmao Don't bother with the Margherita pizza at Barrelhouse. Thank God I only paid $12 for the Margherita Monday deal of half off! The crust was horrible! Dominos has better crust! Costco pizza's had a better crust! The sauce has flavor, very garlicky like fresh garlicky but more of a paste with a load of oregano in it. The cheese didn't have that fresh taste I was hoping for. However, they are known for their Detroit pizza's which I haven't tried but if it's the same sauce, I would pass. Not saying it's bad but it's just not MY cup of tea whether it's for a Detroit style or any pizza. Now you don't have to guess which place has a better Margherita pizza. I wouldn't even pay $12 at Barrelhouse for a marg. Would I come back, yes, if I were in my 20's.. lol but since I'm older and the food is more important to me...no...:/ But hey, maybe their other pizza's are better! I can see a salty pepperoni being good!

While this Downtown location is the flagship diner, Frank's Diner also opened a second location in North Spokane. [Parking]: The diner has a designated parking lot and I had no issue finding an available spot at 6 PM on a weekday. [Atmosphere]: Upon entering, there is a sign stating that the diner serves "15 thousand eggs and 3 tons of hash browns per month." The railcar has a great retro vibe and visitors can choose between bar seating and table seating. [Menu]: Yelp's top recommended items include Eggs Benedict and Chicken-Fried Steak. Breakfast favorites are served with hashbrowns or fruit and a choice of toast. There is also no extra charge for adding gravy or grilled onions to your hashbrowns. Do yourself a favor and choose the hashbrowns and also ask to add gravy on hashbrowns. *** Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs (Half-pound crispy chicken fried steak with cream gravy and two eggs - sunny side, gravy on hashed brown, biscuit - $22.00): My waitress, Jenn, recommended the biscuit so I went with it. The hashbrowns were absolutely heavenly - crispy on the edges and moist on the inside. It was hands down one of the best hashbrowns I have ever had. The gravy was silky smooth. And holy crap the biscuit was a home run - ultra fluffy + amazing tasting jam (not overly sweet). The portion was so large that I had enough leftovers for the next day. *** It was an unexpected find in Spokane and absolutely S-tier for both food quality and service. In fact, I think the food here is better than many classic and upscale breakfast spots in Los Angeles. Absolutely a must-visit in Spokane.

I felt as if our server should have told us immediately that this was a shared option, but even then to make every person pay $57 is nuts for the portion of food that you receive. We are content creator, so we happen to record every dish that we received. ( the leisurely) First thing they brought out was roasted nuts and marinated olives. (6/10). Some of the olives were hard, but the roasted nuts were pretty good. 2. My wife is allergic to shrimp so they were gonna bring out the grilled ponds but instead the chef decided to bring out brussels sprouts. (2/10). It was awful. I almost gagged legitimately, and my wife felt the same, the brussels sprouts also had a foul smell to them as if they were spoiled. - it was paired with the winter salad. In my opinion, that was the second best thing that they brought out. It was very rich in flavor, colorful as well. 3. They then brought out some pasta. Tagliatelle Pasta. This is the best thing that they brought out. The noodles were fresh and the meat choice ( roast) paired very well and it was mildly flavorful, enough to swing both ways but we'd say it swung in the right direction. I'd give it 8.5/10. 4. They then brought out steelhead trout with couscous and cauliflower with roasted carrots. - I think the audacity to give two full grown adults. A 1/3 portion of fish is quite literally disrespectful. It was so disrespectful until it just made me want to leave even more than I did whenever they brought out the brussels sprouts. The piece of fish itself was not seasoned, but it happened to pair slightly with the couscous and whatever sauce. It was quinoa actually.. (6.5/10) flavor wise. I hate really complaining about food, but this was so underwhelming.. that I may have contested the bill if my baby didn't poop out of his clothes during the visit. I will likely update this review with all of the photos once we upload the video just so everyone get an idea. ---- Overall, we would've been much happier, ordering individual dishes off the menu. I don't want to shit all over this place because I do believe it has potential, but I would not advise anyone to do the leisurely. The couple behind us actually didn't eat any of their food either and they apparently chose the same option and she was very upset so I'm glad that we weren't the only ones. I don't think we will return back to this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.
