Waited 15-20 mins for two seats at the counter on a Saturday, no biggie. Waited another hour and a half to be served two basic egg dishes, not cool. People that were seated well after us were fed and had left prior to our food arriving. We were told the servers kept stealing our entrees for their own tables. Apparently we chose two popular dishes. Eggs Benedict was tasty, but nothing mind-blowing. The Hollandaise sauce was bland. This place used to be my hang. It was a good place to meet people before a night out or a good place to end up later, maybe both. Years ago I would've given it 4 or 5 stars, but things have really changed. For a long time Jeanette was my favorite bartender, she was always experimenting with drinks and making new things and doing taste checks. She is no longer there. After she left I still gave it a shot. On the first occassion I came in and paid 35 dollars for 5 shots of what can only be described as cough syrup. This bartender was new, I gave it a pass. Came in again, this time I tried to order food from the bar and was told I had to order it from a server. Ok. Third time I purchased a couple of beers, I wasn't able to put them on my card because there's a 10 dollar minimum now. Is this a gas station? The fourth time our bills were not split correctly. The fifth time I was supposed to meet some friends there but ran into them as they were leaving only to find their experiences mirrored mine. My friend ordered a drink, it had little or no alcohol in it. Thinking they had made a mistake she brought it up to the bar only to be told "I watched him pour it". We were regulars there, and we've worked in restaurants, we'rea pretty reasonable bunch, honest. Ok, that being said, this only applies to the bar side. The food side still has some great staff. But they're shortly becoming the satellite's only redeeming quality. My assumption is that this is an issue far above the people employed there and the problems are the trickle down effect of working for someone who has developed unrealistic or ever changing expectations. read more

They were 4 blocks from our hotel We walked don in a drizzle and when we got there a lady walking in very rudely said, "we don't open for 20 minutes." Hubby and I went for breakfast this morning. He had the French Toast and Company which he said was really good! There is a secret ingredient that he couldn't figure out. He said the toast was sweet, but a good sweet that made you want to eat more. I had the Taco Omelette and it was wonderful! Good food, and that kinda surprised me. This place is nothing to look at from the outside, and I was a bit skeptical, thinking this would be your typical diner food. The food was fresh and flavorful; everyone in our party was pleased with their food. Great service, too. We showed up unannounced with a very large family group on a Sunday night. Very very good!!! It gets crowded, which slows the kitchen down, so make sure you have time, but the food was definitely worth it. We stopped here for lunch today because their menu sounded delicious. We had a great time. The atmosphere was kitschy and fun. The server was great...very attentive. My husband had a burger and said it was good. I got the grilled cheese. While I was expecting more from their advertised "thick egg bread," it was still good. Delicious breakfast and outstanding service for a Monday morning. They were very accommodating for our 6 month old baby. My wife and I split the French toast and company and I got a side of caramelized jalapeño bacon. The bacon is diced and served in a small bowl. We were making a quick pit stop in Spokane and found this place on Yelp. It was great! We had breakfast and it was delicious. We had a skillet and an omelette. There were tons of menu options, the food was plentiful and tasty. We didn't get drinks, but the ones we saw were beautiful. Lots of TV's and great downtown location. The vibe was super cool too. This place is great! It definitely was better than my last time and it was busier. We went here for breakfast on Easter morning. The mix of people in here is one thing that makes this place great. People from all walks of life. Again its just a dive bar with a diner inside! They made our monster a pancake in the shape of a Rabbit! She loved it!
