This was our first time coming here while in the Chicagoland area. Our friend who lives here suggested this place. It's in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The ambiance is casual with great service and great attitudes. It is a very clean establishment. We were well taken care of by our server. The place stayed busy but the food was just good and lacked seasonings. Maybe it is just a Texas thing. We each ordered our own bag with a variety of items upon likes. I personally ordered the shrimp, crawfish, sausage, corn and potatoes in a spicy sauce that was not spicy at all and lacked flavor even though I ordered the 3 spice hot sauce. The headless shrimp were good sized and cleaned. The crawfish were mixed sized. Again, it lacked flavor. The potatoes were good and the corn was spicy, burned the lips. Another person in our party ordered a little bit of everything. He enjoyed everything and there was plenty of leftovers from the three bags for him to take home. We also ordered the garlic shrimp noodles which were ok after eating so much boiled seafood. The sweet potato fries were delicious and I recommend them. I went early on a weekday evening and it was almost empty. We were seated immediately but after that the waitress was not very attentive. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Spent $80 on a seafood boil for 1 person and got food poisoning from it. When I called about it, they refused to refund my money & called me crazy. I came here once before no issues so I decided to come back. The seasoning sauce on the seafood was different than the last time I came. You really couldn't taste anything other than grease, and the seafood tasted like it had been sitting soaked in grease for a while, and even looked dark from soaking in all the grease. The crab had a white slimy substance coming off of it. It almost look like slim long boogers. The shrimp had poop all in it as they were not deveined.. so that was gross. & the corn looked like it was literally soaked in grease for hours, when you took a bite of it you had a mouthful of grease in your mouth. I have enjoyed their food for many years but lately I have noticed increased pricing, smaller portions and quality of food not the same. The fried rice is not fried - looks like brown rice instead! Seafood is my ultimate love; pair it with butter and garlic and you have created a monster. After work, I was craving a lobster tail and decided to try this little spot. So glad I did; for 16$ you will get one lobster tail, an ear of corn and a red potato. Choose the sauce you want then your heat level. The shrimp cocktail is a definite skip, I could tell it had just been quickly thawed. The flavor was lacking in the boil, but there was adequate meat on the crab and crawfish. There was so much shrimp, we got tired of eating it. The sausage used in the boil was *chef's kiss* delicious. The chicken tenders were large, my two year old enjoyed. I also had a cocktail, was a syrupy mess but what it lacked in crispness, it made up for in strength. Service was good, our server was very attentive. Food was great! I can't say the same about the wait staff. There was no one at the hostess stand when we entered. The bartender saw us enter but did not acknowledge our presence he continued wash & putting up glasses. There appeared to be one waitress, she had to take care of each table, which created a longer wait. Also, the music was too loud and it wasn't resturant music, it sounded like a personal playlist which was not necessarily appropriate for the environment/atmosphere. There were tables that were not clean with no patrons sitting there. We had to wait for a table once we were acknowledged. Although, there was one waitress the service was not too bad. I was really impressed with the flavor of the food! I really enjoyed the catfish basket(it was a little salty) but it had a nice batter and it was cooked to perfection(for me) I love catfish, I prefer it over any other fish/poultry/beef/pork. So, for me to say it was good! It was good! Just too much salt. I also had the 1lb. Split King Crab broil, flavors were really good. I had the Cajun flavor and I was impressed, I didn't like the split I felt like the meat was missing! I would have rather took the crab leg apart myself. Overall, the food was good. I went here yesterday and I must say it's not my first time nor my first choice. The reason it was picked is because we were in the area and they serve alcohol. All the fried options taste the same to me. We had the gator bites, shrimp and fries and mozzarella sticks and each tasted just like the next. I had the lb of "jumbo" shrimp which came to the table looking like every other seafood boil in a bag's regular shrimp. That part makes me wonder what the "regular" size shrimp looks like. Im NOT a seafood lover BUT I wanted to try it out. I was greeted immediately upon arrival, once we advised this was takeout we were given a menu and the hostess explained how ordering worked. I decided on king crab legs with garlic butter sauce hot, I also threw in sausage, 2 potatoes and 2 corns. The hostess totaled me up (price didn't seem bad), put in my order and 15 minutes later I was bagged up with gloves a bib and wet wipes and happily went on my way. I'm in the neighborhood so when I got home my food was still hot. The crab itself was good and well seasoned, I have just come to learn I'm not a seafood conniseiur. The seasoning in the bag was amazing and had the perfect amount of heat. I would definitely recommend to those that love seafood. I did take off 1 star because the waiting area is tight and pretty close to the eat in diners which can be a little uncomfortable for all. read more

The food was subpar with 0% flavor, we had to flag our server down the entire time, our second drink "The Bahama Mama" tasted RANCID! Don't get it cause i think the banana creme liquor was expired. First impression always matters! When entering the restaurant, I was greeted by a gentlemen at the podium. There he took us to a seat, where I was highly impressed with how spacious the table was. The rack with condiments were located on the wall as opposed to on the table. Tables were clean. Once introduced to our meals, the shrimps were placed plastic bags; we were provided with safety food gloves and bibs. The shrimp was welled seasoned and delicious. Even though all of the food was not consumed, the waitress impressed us. She put gloves on and sealed the bags. I took my daughters here for lunch yesterday and we all having been throwing up all day and night. One of my daughters is 34 weeks pregnant and I ended up in the ER with her because she was severely dehydrated from all of the vomiting that the food caused. I believe that they recycle food and reheat it. The back where the restrooms are have a very very foul smell. My oldest daughter ordered a lemon drop and it looked like dirty mop water. He stated my friend and I should have said we didn't want them strong. The popcorn shrimp was too salty. I could barely eat it. However, no proper metal crab leg cracker utensils are provided. Not even a single set for the entire table. Insane. How is anyone expected to crack crab claws with plastic forks?! We won't be back any time soon. Oh, and please train your staff to make the rounds and ask customers if they would like their beer refills accompanying the crab, not disappear for half an hour. This is not a professional and customer oriented environment. When asked about the utensils we were told that the restaurant is "running low" without any follow up. Do not order crab at this place. I love the feel of it. It is a lively atmosphere and the staff are very attentive. The food it delicious and definitely worth the cost. I would have enjoyed the boil if they provided a dipping sauce (I.e butter and garlic). They also have a well stocked bar. If you're looking for a good experience with the crab boil, definitely try. First of all, I love seafood so I had to try Hot N Juicy Crab! It was sooo good!!!! There was a special on the day I went which included 1 pound of Shrimp, 1 pound of Snow Crab, 2 corn on the cons, and 2 boiled potatoes for $27 which quite honestly was a steal! I went to this place for the first time on Sunday 6/7/2020 after living in the area for a year and wanting to try it out. I can say I was extremely disappointed with the food. Frankly while it was well seasoned it 'tasted funny' and my body outright rejected it almost immediately. I became extremely sick after eating this food within 30 to 40 minutes I was having hot flashes and my stomach was in knots. I spent my entire evening running back and forth to the bathroom so if you are looking for a hot and juicy toilet then this is the place for you. They are fast! I tend to go after work for a take-out. I'm never there long waiting for my carry-out. I love being able to get a delicious meal in a timely manner. I have been a few times. When I go I tend to take people with me. Not more than 2 or 3 people because there is a high surcharge. I am noticing more and more that they skimp on the sauce. First, there's a list of several rules including split checks, gratuity, IDs etc. I ordered mozzarella sticks and juicy shrimp. My husband ordered hush puppies and catfish. The food was basic at best. The mozzarella sticks were bland, the he breading on the shrimp was unremarkable. I've been spoiled by shrimp at Goose Island and The Original Island Shrimp House and the food here was not even close. The food tasted heavy and greasy. I ordered a boil bag and I wasn't impressed with the seasoning or the size of the shrimp. We also had a oyster appetizer that was also weak. Smelled fishy. I haven't had oysters anywhere where they didnt separate the oyster from the shell. I've had better. Even my drink I ordered was basic and something I could have done.
