A truly wonderful day is when I go to the Scone Pony. The staff is amazing, they go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy. The Scones are the star here obviously but their cakes and pastries are excellent. It's a small place in an off the beaten path but parking is always nearby

The Scone Pony in Spring Lake has a cute ambiance and even better scones. The Scone Pony is more of a grab and go location for fresh baked pastries like scones, cookies, and muffins. I purchased five scones and each one was better than the last. Some of the flavors we tried were: blueberry, chocolate chip, cinnamon chip, vanilla bean, and funfetti. My personal favorites were the chocolate chip and funfetti; and my husband loved the blueberry. The service is always friendly and they do take call ahead orders. My only complaint is that they are closed Monday - Wednesday. Pros: delicious fresh baked scones Cons: limited days open Overall, I highly recommend stopping at The Scone Pony for a delicious pastry.

Tucked away on a side street in Spring Lake's downtown district, this charming bakery is a must visit. The ambience is chic, with some limited outdoor seating. Service was friendly. I ordered two cheesecake/coffee cake combo type pastries (I'm not sure of their name,) and they were incredible. I will definitely return on my next trip to Spring Lake. Love the name of the place, too!

This scone was heaven in my mouth. We ordered before they were closing so they had to make a new batch so we came back and they were even fresher. I got the lemon blueberry and my friend got vanilla. They were still warm and so moist and declious

Truly the best scone I have ever had. I came to the shore on a Sunday and stopped here. I had a mimosa scone. It so so orange-y yet light. I also picked up a cupcake and that was tasty but the scone was the star. They were closed M-W but luckily I was able to stop on my way back in Thursday and get another mimosa scone and some other flavors to try. I'm very sad I didn't get buy a scone every day. My only wish was that they had merch! I didn't see any but would be happy to wear a Scone Pony hoodie or carry a insulated cup with their name and logo.

Our first stop as soon as we got to town. Best scones anywhere. But everything is so amazing it's hard to choose.

They earned my trust years ago, and they exceeded my expectations once again. From my very first phone call, Rylee was an absolute pleasure to work with. She made the entire process effortless, patiently answered all of my questions, and put my mind at ease every step of the way. I came in with an AI-generated image of the cake I envisioned. We all know AI images don't always translate perfectly into a real cake, but Chocolate Carousel brought that vision to life better than I could have imagined. The attention to detail was incredible, and the finished cake looked amazingly close to the original design. The cake wasn't just beautiful--it was absolutely delicious! We chose chocolate and vanilla cake with cannoli cream, and it was one of the freshest cakes we've ever had. Every single slice disappeared before the party was over! Thank you to Rylee and the talented team at Chocolate Carousel for creating such a stunning and delicious centerpiece for my son's 36th birthday. You helped make his celebration unforgettable, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for a truly special custom cake.

I recently visited the Sea Girt location and got to watch some of the behind-the-scenes action, including the pizzas being stretched, assembled and going in and out of that incredible coal-fired oven. Seeing the process up close really makes you appreciate the flavor that comes from cooking pizza this way. We started with several appetizers, including the coal-fired wings, which were delicious. I especially loved that they were served with onions, and their blue cheese dressing was seriously SO good. I could have kept dipping those wings all night. The strawberry spinach salad was another favorite -- loaded with strawberries, blueberries, feta and hazelnuts. The hazelnuts added such a great crunch and really elevated the salad. The calamari was crispy and delicious, and of course, a generous squeeze of fresh lemon made it even better. The eggplant rollatini was delicate, traditional and really well done. And then came the pizza. The crust was very thin and light, with a delicious sauce and that beautiful char you get from a coal-fired oven. There's a distinct flavor and texture that comes from coal firing, and it really made the pizza stand out. I think Zoni's is one of those places that people in the area should have on their radar. If you love pizza, especially a thin, beautifully charred crust, this is definitely worth checking out. Zoni's has two locations, Sea Girt and Middletown, so you have options depending on where you are in Monmouth County. Come hungry and order the wings, get the calamari, and definitely save room for the pizza!

We went for a Harry Potter theme and were treated to a cute lore to go along with our afternoon tea tower. Starting with a polyjuice potion antidote (tea infused lemonade), having a wide selection of themed teas in addition to their normal large selection, and then the tea tower itself was filled with a flavorful assortment of savory and sweet items. To top it all off the staff gets paid a proper wage so tipping is optional (huge props to the ownership for this!). Not to mention, the staff is absolutely delightful to interact with, and their selection of ala carte treats and even the afternoon tea itself was incredibly reasonably priced. I'll definitely be checking back to see what themes they come up with in the future!

Their tea menu was also pretty extensive, and had something even for picky me. Also wanted to make sure I point out that Sweet Tease doesn't require tipping, which (hopefully) means they pay their staff fairly.
