OMG this place was so, so good. We were shopping in the plaza and stumbled across this place, and I only went in to treat my wife (who was with me). I figured we'd get her something and I'd go without. But as I saw the flavors, and read the descriptions, and then sampled some of the flavors, I couldn't resist. We ended up getting the flight, and splitting the flavors between us. If they only made the honeycomb (absolutely amazing) flavor, this would be my favorite ice cream place. I also had the bourbon brittle, and was blown away with that as well. I don't remember what my 3rd flavor was, or which ones my wife picked (we visited about a month ago) but recall we liked everything. In addition, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and seemed happy to be working there today (as opposed to other places where you can see the employees looking through you to watch the clock's countdown to when they can leave). Flight of Ice Cream is 6 sample size of your choice, $7.50!?...not bad at all. I can honestly say that I will be back to try other flavors. Just made a dope dash order asked for them to add Oreo to my cookie dough ice cream. I should have been more specific on my order to split it but when the door dash driver called he argued for me to have them just redo it and they told him that wasn't possible and then put me on the phone I told them what I mean and they said they couldn't do that for me and I would have to reorder through the app which would not be possible and inconvenience. The Screamery not only has your typical chocolate, vanilla, etc. they also have crazy concoctions like the Cowboy Cookie (salted caramel ice cream with a caramel swirl and oatmeal chocolate chip cookie chunks) and the triple play (chocolate ice cream, chocolate chips, and brownie chunks). The gal working the counter was so kind to let us indulge in many flavor samples and did not seem the least bit annoyed at our requests. We finally settled on the Cowboy Cookie and the ooey gooey butter cake. You guys, it was amazing! Beware when going here!!! I was charged $15 for a small ice cream cup... I realized they charged me the wrong amount after I had paid. I went back to the register within 2 minutes and told them they accidentally charged me wrong, they took my credit card and proceeded to give me the managers number since the handful of people working there "weren't allowed to give me a refund". So I called the number they provided me multiple times and left voicemails (never heard back) finally I called the store phone number and was able to get ahold of the manager, Bradley, and he wasn't happy I was calling his cell phone number and gave me attitude about wanting my money back... and then made me send in proof of my bank statement showing they overcharged me. It's been over a week and I still have not received a refund. I will continue calling until they give me my money back. A friend from Tucson recommended the Screamery when she noticed that they had a location in the valley now! This ice cream joint started town in Tucson and my friend claimed it's the best thing about Tucson! They have so many flavors, it was hard to choose what to even sample. I ended up trying the cannoli ice cream and the peppermint bark and I had to order the peppermint bark! It tasted better than the Ghirardelli candies! It had large chunks of peppermint bark chocolate and bits of candy cane! It's very creamy! I loved it! After I ordered, I noticed another table had a flight of ice cream. What a creative idea! It comes with 6 smaller sized ice cream scoops in a flight board. A very cool way to try a bunch of different flavors! Also the girls working seemed to love their jobs. I love that they use natural and organic ingredients! However, The flavors are hit or miss. Some of them like rough at sea and blueberry cheesecake are a homerun! I have been to this location several times and have yet to find something to complain about. The customer service is fantastic, the ice cream is phenomenal, and the store is clean and fun! They have almost too many option to choose from. They allow you to choose up to two flavors in their "single." My go-to's are the Bourbon Brittle and Sweet Cream Honeycomb. The Bourbon Brittle is a Maker's Mark infused ice cream with pieces of pecan brittle. It is a must try! The Sweet Cream Honeycomb is a sweeter ice cream with actual honeycomb pieces! The employees are always friendly and seem to enjoy working there. They are great about making recommendations or allowing you to sample any flavor you'd like. Pretty Solid ice cream and I'll def be back if I'm in the area. I live in Cave Creek and have an ice cream shop right down the street from me that I'll most likely stick with when I need my ice cream fix. What I really enjoyed about Screamery, well...The name!! How fun!! Also, all the flavors they offer. Triple chocolate, cookie and cream, peppermint chip, fudgecicle, and soooo many more. I tasted Coffee Toffee and Banana Cream Pie. I got a single scoop in a cup and they were able to give me both flavors! My husband went with a single scoop of Butter Pecan with Hot Fudge on top. The coffee toffee was really good with huge pieces of toffee in it. The Banana was also really good, I didnt love the huge cookie pieces though. Although I'm sure most people would and do. This place also offers an "ice cream flight" which is pretty awesome! My husband and I wished we would have done that and shared it. We would have gotten more ice cream to taste and it would have been cheaper. It's about $7 for a 6 sample scoop flight. We just paid close to $12 for 2 scoops... oh well. We both enjoyed our ice cream and the place is adorable. I am screaming for this ice cream! I sampled the raspberry cheesecake and buttercake flavors and they were both soooo good, but I decided to go with the butter cake one because it has mini chunks of cake in it, which made it like ten times more delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for ice cream lovers because this location has great flavors and all of the ice cream flavors are rich and creamy. This used to be my favorite local ice cream shop because of the unique flavors, but after tonight I don't think I'll be returning due to lack of staff hygiene and friendliness. There were two girls working, one wearing a hat (maybe a new employee?), and the other with pink-dyed hair and long fake acrylic nails that I've seen there on multiple other occasions. I would refer to them by name but they don't wear name tags. First, about the lack of staff hygiene: 1) When the girl with pink hair/fake nails was scooping part of my ice cream order, and was moving it into a bigger container on the table behind her, she licked her fingers. She happened to have her back towards me and I personally didn't see it, but another customer waiting in line did see it and called the girl out for licking her fingers while working in a food-industry setting and personally scooping orders for customers. Responding to the other customer's complaint, the girl then stated "it's not like I'm touching the ice cream." Which, while that may be true, that's just a very poor response to a perfectly legitimate concern from a customer, and she is still technically touching the container and handing them to customers -- gross. But to make matters even more gross and worse, after the other customer left, the girl then asked me what others flavors I wanted, and I had to directly ask her to go wash her hands -- she didn't even think to do this after the other customer complained. This is so disappointing -- if this is what is happening in front of customers, what is happening when customers aren't there or back in the storage area? 2) Relating to the licking fingers incident, I realized that they don't wear gloves while scooping. While I wouldn't initially think this was that big of a deal since it's an ice cream parlor, the main employee wears long fake acrylic nails which are known to carry all sorts of bacteria, and now is known to unapologetically lick her fingers in front of customers. Not to mention, I think in this time of covid and increased health awareness/safety in general, it would be more hygienic if staff scooping ice cream wore gloves. Now regarding the lack of staff friendliness: Funny enough, while the girl with pink hair/fake nails needs to learn and follow better food industry hygiene skills, she is customer-friendly and courteous. However, the other girl working with her tonight (8/28/2021) (the one wearing the hat), should probably not be working in a customer service type job whatsoever. To give the benefit of the doubt, I'm not sure if she had something tragic happen in her personal life recently or maybe was getting over an illness that affected her vocal chords or if she has a behavior disorder/disability that prevents her from understanding/having typical customer service skills, but it seemed like working was the last thing she wanted to be doing tonight - she seemed to get very overwhelmed with scooping ice cream and was generally unfriendly. Instead of asking what the customer wants (such as, "hi, what can I get you?"), she would just blankly stare at customers (including me) until they realized she wasn't going to ask/say anything to them prompting customers to awkwardly give her their order. Then when customers (including me) did ask for container size/flavors, she would roll her eyes as if you just made her night worse. To make it even more awkward, when checking customers out at the cash register, she wouldn't say "that'll be $_.__" like the pink hair/fake nails girl would, the girl with the hat would literally just blankly stare at the customer until they realized they needed to insert their credit card and then she flipped the screen around to request tip/no tip, and didn't bother to say "thanks for coming in". Her presence and muted actions gave off very negative energy, considering it's an ice cream parlor, and honestly it just felt like she hates her job and working in a position with high customer interaction. I really used to like this place and loved how it was a local chain -- but I think after tonight, I'll avoid going here. read more

YUM!! Grass fed, all natural, and home made waffle cones.. doesn't get much better than this! I was super excited to finally try this place out, my hubby and I are always on the look out for yummy ice cream spots to end our date nights! The flavor selection is impressive! I tried almost all of them and they were happy to let me. I ordered a scoop of "rough at sea" and "cowboy cookie" in a waffle cone. Rough at sea is a sea salt base with honey butterscotch swirl with candied pecans, almonds and pistachios.. it was heaven! My favorite flavor. Cowboy cookie is a salt d caramel base with oatmeal, walnuts and chocolate chip cookies.. also very delicious. The waffle cone was next level! I am typically not a fan of waffle cones, but these were made fresh and super thin and crispy! You must order one, I think it's completes the experience. Can't wait to go back and try other flavors! He introduced me to so many of the new flavors he absolutely loves to work here he loves the ice cream and you can tell it's almost as if he owned the place he knows all the flavors what's in them and tells me about them . When I go to a place I definitely want to know about it and he was there for me very nice Ambience the place is packed right now as I'm leaving this review . Who in their right mind didn't give this place 5-stars?! I am so happy to see this place as busy as it is with it being so new. Grass-fed dairy, natural ingredients, nothing synthetic or artificial, blah blah blah. If you're someone who cares about this, great. You'll love Screamery. If you're like me and just want amazing tasting ice cream, you'll love Screamery. I guess ingredients do matter! My favorite? Bees Knees. Bourbon Brittle is also incredible, but everything I tasted really rocked my world.
