If you enjoy chomping on clams filled with sand and grit. This place is for you! Only place I've ever been, that they don't use 'real' melted butter. I have no idea what I was sticking my sandy clams in, but it wasn't butter and was brown in color. If you're a restaurant wanting to impress your customers, you are supposed to clean your clams before putting them in the boiling pot and then serve them to your customers. The Shack in OOB always has incredible options for drinks and entrees. My mom and I went on a Saturday night and the wait was a little under an hour. You should expect a wait on weekend nights because this place tends to fill up fast and there are not as many tables due to COVID . We got drinks from the bar before being seated and the bartender was friendly and got the drinks out fast even though he looked very busy. That being said it is definitely worth the wait. The service is fast and friendly. I had the lobster mac...my mother had the seared scallops...both were mouth watering and worth the wait/price .
