Texas toast with bacon, egg and cheese. Bacon overload!!
    Stacy G.

The staff is always friendly and they work very hard. The restaurant was clean and partitions were in place to use as much space as possible within COVID guidelines. My coffee was fresh even at 0230. I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on Texas toast. It was great and packed with tons of bacon. My friend got a peanut butter waffle and he loved it. Overall, great service even with a lack of staff. Perfect food and clean restaurant.

Went here on way to Florida. One of the cleanest and well maintained waffle houses I have been to. Staff was friendly and service was quick. The food was waffle house good. Not gourmet but delicious and filling. No complaints.

Tasty but a wee bit greasy

Our tour bus stopped at an area that had a few different fast food places to choose from. We and some of our friends opted for Waffle House. Tom & I both ordered The Texas Bacon Cheesesteak Melt (hold the bacon) and hash browns. Our meals were quickly made and served but a wee bit on the greasy side...typical for a Waffle house I think. Our meals were priced right for what we received...$15.62.

This is by far the most insane ridiculous yelp review I will ever have to give in my Yelp career having profited zero We stopped in your on Christmas Eve What did they serve me some Gelatinous muck. I was so offended Even though we sat at the counter and watch the clock make our food I could not believe what I was served the sunny side up eggs were so ready you would think that everybody in that restaurant that had the flu decided to blow their nose onto my plate they were under Cooked As was the bacon and I didn't understand it nor did I even take a bite. I did however have half of a waffle and it was very good I asked for cheese with My grits. They gave me like a craft single on top of it and it wasn't even melted Employees were very talkative and nice to us there was a girl directly in front of us washing dishes or something and our server was this kid who wanted to talk about everything under the sun and this crazy trucker guy came in and wanted to tell us the story of his life meanwhile I'm trying to hold down the fact that I want to vomit being inside of this place But everyone was nice and I felt like the mixture of the food and the humidity was making me terribly ill and I just wanted to get out of there. I needed my inhaler because I was so beside myself and then when I got into the car my husband had said "that was a great meal" My husband actually ate everything they gave him and enjoyed it I couldn't believe it And he left the kid a $20 tip on a $20 bill so whatever merry Christmas I won't be coming back -that's your present

Sure smells good...Pecan waffles, cheese melts and hashbrowns!

If you like butter you'll love the Waffle House. There something about the cuisine that is perfect when travelling, especially a family roadtrip ! The place was clean, the cook and server were friendly and attentive. My son and father LOVED the burger cheese melts. The hubby had a very delicious pecan waffle...another reason why I prefer waffles over pancakes. I had a nice hashbrown order with mushrooms and white gravy, yum.

    We had the breakfast bowls.

Chef Jerome is a piece of SE Georgia history and makes some fantastic food. From the moment we pulled up to the restaurant, Chef Jerome came out and greeted us with hugs and assurances that he was going to take good care of us. The building is eclectic, quirky, rustic, and several more adjectives - but never off-putting. It is comfortable.... When you walk in, you really get a feel for the history of this place - particularly from the tens of thousands of photos that decorate the walls (virtually all of them) throughout the restaurant. There are pictures of locals, travelers and even several celebrities that have feasted at the Diner. Ben Afflect's picture is featured all over the restaurant as he frequents this place whenever he is in town (he even has his own autographed chair hanging on the wall). We were seated in the VIP room and presented with a menu with several good southern dishes from deviled crab, oysters, scallops and of course shrimp to ribs, porkchops, steaks and burgers. They are known for their Wheelchair Platter - which serves 2, 3, or 4 people. This is a collection of things that the Chef has selected for you including fried shrimp, fish, hushpuppies, pork chops, Mac 'n cheese, and other treats. Comes with slaw and potato salad (both fantastic), We ordered the platter for 2 - and it did not disappoint. We also got the sweetpotato logs with a cinnamon dipping sauce (wow!). First - those were some of the best hushpuppies I've ever eaten. Crispy on the outside but fluffy with bits of corn on the inside. yum. Everything else was cooked to perfection. Once we had eaten, Chef Jerome came out and took some pictures (for the wall of course) and had us promising (truthfully) to return soon. This place is a little out of the way. It's down a dirt road and looks a little rustic - but you will be very pleasantly surprised once you go in and let Chef Jerome take care of you. A Definite recommendation! Don't miss this treasure!

I decided on breakfast with eggs, bacon, grits and a biscuit. When I saw the huge biscuit I knew right away it was homemade. Wonderful. I could only eat half and brought the rest home. I asked for the bacon to be crispy and it was!! There is dessert menu on the table. I advise you to pay attention. I asked about the gooey bars.....they had some with chocolate chips but I asked if they made them plain. Ethan went in the back and got one for me! That's good old fashioned customer service! They make these bars in house and have different flavors....some fruit ones, a few with nuts, etc. I loved the plain one....very rich. I was so full I had to bring most of it home with me, but I am so glad I tried it. I advise checking out this family run diner. It's one of those hidden gems!

I was told it would be about 25 minutes, which was perfectly fine because my pickup was taking around 40 minutes anyway. When I walked into the restaurant, I wasn't acknowledged by anyone. I stood there for a long time and had to ask multiple employees about my order because nobody seemed interested in helping me. The owner/manager never once spoke to me or asked what I needed. After waiting another 20 minutes, the cashier finally came over so I could pay for my food. Then I had to wait another 30 minutes before the food finally came out. After all that waiting, the fish tacos were cold. I asked for a refund, and unfortunately that became another ordeal. The owner didn't know how to process the refund through the register, and after waiting yet another 25 minutes, I finally told them to just give me cash so I could leave. From start to finish, this experience was a complete mess. Poor communication, no sense of urgency, no customer service, and cold food after an extremely long wait. I understand restaurants get busy, but completely ignoring customers and serving cold food after well over an hour is unacceptable. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I can't recommend this place based on my experience.
