I've been…read morein this store quite a few times and they typically have a HUGE selection of Stanley, Yeti, Owala, and Hydroflask drinking vessels in addition to other brands. Today as I browsed around, I noted that the store was overwhelmed with World Cup gear which is cool, but the merchandise that I saw, including Jerseys, t-shirts, shorts, etc., was really crowded and disorganized and it looked like the Tasmanian Devil had whirled himself through it. The aisles were also impossibly packed with stuff, and it made passing other customers an obstacle course. Anyway, I also walked past the flip-flops with the intention of possibly purchasing a new pair for the summer. Leather Olukais were almost $90, simple Havaianas were over $40, and plastic Birks were $50. Needless to say, I didn't buy any... I'll stick with my beloved & comfy Reefs that I bought last summer. Finally, I walked over the water bottles... There was one type of Stanley straws available and they were $11.25. I looked online and the same straws were originally priced at $15 , but were on sale for $9. There were no Stanley "boots" in the store, so I couldn't get one of those. They had some made by another brand, and a few Owala ones, but none of the colors worked with my tumbler. So I just decided to get the straws. I asked the cashier if they honor online prices, and she said they did which I appreciated. She looked at my phone and said, "oh these other straws are the ones that are on sale." I said, "these straws (in my hand) are the only ones that you have in the store." And then she agreed to give me the discount... Keep in mind that the prices of the same item were different online vs. in store, and then the higher priced straws were discounted even further. Buyer beware... I left the store with my straws in hand, and a burning desire not to return to this store again, unless I absolutely have to, as the shopping experience was mediocre in my opinion. Mahalo!

Has all of the usual isles and categories of stuff, from school supplies to groceries to clothes and pet food and craft kits, target has a lot of great products and deals. My only 2 gripes with this location is: 1. The parking, I hate the parking hell that OB is especially on the weekends. I'd much rather drive to another location with more parking than hunt for those elusive spots 2. There is no public bathroom, which is understandable considering it's OB but if I'm shopping around and staying hydrated and need to go pee, it's a shame that there's no where I can go ---- Didn't really interact with the workers and there is a self-check out section, but they seemed like they were fine whether they were restocking isles or helping customers check-out. ---- Overall: definitely not the best target I've been to, parking sucks, and there's no public bathroom, but if you're in walking distance of this one and you live close by it's definitely a good store to have in the area

I got home and tried the shorts on (I did not know they had a fitting room at the store!), but they didn't fit. Came back today and John assisted me in exchanging the shorts- ended up getting two pairs of shorts and paid the difference. They usually don't do exchanges or returns (probably because they have the fitting room), but did since I bought the shorts just yesterday. Derek happened to show up and asked if I had made progress on my quest for a wetsuit. I had a great experience here...Derek and John were very helpful and I will definitely be back since I recently moved here to OB. Afterwards, a stroll on the beach was the BONUS part of the day! Ocean Beach Pier has one of the longest concrete pier on the West Coast! They say it's a half mile long. The local area is very laid back. Quite a few small local type shops. I enjoy the vintage antique shops! It's that 1970's vibe that brings back all the memories! You won't find the big box chain type stores here. The ocean waves are beautiful! The 70 degree something weather is perfect for the stroll on the beach. The sounds of the waves are relaxing. The surfers catching a big wave is exciting! Overall, it's a beautiful experience!
