The staff are so friendly you feel like family. The biscuits are a mile high and fluffy. The food is amazing. 5 stars are not enough.

The food was mediocre compared to the first time I've ever visited this restaurant. Service was also 2/3- we weren't offered any refills or check in on. The ambiance was pretty chill but super cold. We had a great breakfast experience. We arrived just before the lunch rush. The food is simple hometown cooking and everything tasted great. My mother in law is super picky and she enjoyed her plate (Steak and eggs) and even ordered a pancake on the side because my husband and sister loved theirs. Not much to look at from the outside, but the food is good. Small diner. Definitely a locals spot. We went in for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. Got a table right away. Service was friendly and speedy. Restrooms are located out the front door, around to the back of the building. Really interesting place. I've been wanting to try this place out since moving to Buckeye 14 years ago and finally went for breakfast this morning. It was good. I had the pancakes combo for $8.25, which came with 2 pancakes, an egg (I did poached), and 2 slices of bacon. Everything was decent-not excellent. Food is country style which is all pretty carb heavy. The locals eat here and love it!

One thing I forgot to mention. Ask for the beans instead of hash browns. You won't be sorry, and you'll never ask for hash browns again.

We wanted to find a good breakfast spot. We definitely did with The Sheep Camp. One look at the parking lot and saw most cars were local.....we were traveling from CA. We opened the door, took one step inside and were greeted with a smile and told to sit at any clean table. We did and were promptly brought menus and asked what wed like to drink. From start to finish..what a nice local place to sit for a spell and grab a good meal. The Denver omelet and sausage with eggs. Food came out HOT and quick. A good hearty American breakfast for us both. What makes this place special is that it's unassuming, incredibly friendly and fast paced. Come early as within 10 minutes of getting there they had people waiting. The women that were serving.....so pleasant, always smiling and they know their customers. This small cozy neighborhood spot was so worth the 15 minute drive off the highway. The ladies doing the serving were on the go the entire time. They were super friendly. This place is just a gem of a hole in the wall. Lot of long term customers come here and you see frequent friends running into eachother here. Waitress call customers by their names and often know already what they want. Food has large portions and fresh delicious home cooking style. I love love love their huge fluffy biscuits! Nothing fancy about the place really so don't come here if you are looking for Cracker Barrel style. You come here for the food and service not for the looks. Keep in mind this keeps their costs lower which means their food can remain afforable. Its a blessing they made it through the COVID lockdown.... go visit this place and give a small business some love. read more

Stopped by on a Sunday morning, not to busy yet (did fill up by time I left), old school diner vibe and decor. Staff very friendly & efficient with ordering and food arrived in under 10 minutes. Had the Chicken fried steak & eggs along with half order of biscuits & gravy. Lost one star on review for gravy being barely over room temperature and had to eat all that first before gravy congealed. Rest of meal good, satisfying but not great. A decent local restaurant, may try again if my travels take me back to Buckeye, AZ. read more

My wife and i go there quite a bit. Yesterday we were up in Goodyear and i asked where would she like to go and she said the place in downtown Buckeye. We went and as usual the service was GREAT, i had a bacon burger and fries and she had a club sandwich. Mine was great as usual. Not sure if it was something with hers or not but about 2 hours after arriving home she said that her stomach was starting to hurt. About 2 hours later she spent the next several hours visiting the bathroom. That was the first time experiencing that there. Still a great place though. So we figured, why not go to old town Buckeye and get some home cooking. Well it says home cooking on the sign so we figured we were in the right place. There were three of us and we got different things. My chicken fried steak was good, but not hand made, definitely from a frozen pack. The biscuits and hash browns were really good. My friend had the chorizo, and it looked really good, he liked it a whole bunch. My other friend had poached eggs. Hey now, tough to get poached eggs done correctly. They nailed it. The place is an old roadside diner so don't expect upgrades. The city of Buckeye was founded in 1888, this place looks like it was built in 1889. Local dive spot with good food and salty waitresses. All good, but not worth a road trip to get there. read more
